We finally found cacao trees... at the Chocolate Museum in Granada, Nicaragua | Visit Choco Museo !

After looking for cacao trees all over the city of Granada, I was delighted that they can be found in the interior court of the Chocolate Museum... who would have thought !
The cacao drinks at the Museum are some of the best that we had: I think that it's called a cocoa frio. Besides sitting down and having a drink at the Museum, you can get a guided tour where they tell you about the history of chocolate production. You can even make your own chocolate bar... albeit for a hefty price. Over all, the Choco Museo is worth a visit, not the least because of the coffee shop atmosphere with the constant 'latte latte chocolate' singing in the background... just make sure to tell them what you want to do ;)
