I was going to make the same comment! I was lucky to be there when it erupted so I know it happened. They must have edited this before then or they are really out of touch!
I thought Toba was the world's largest volcano? Anyway, I'm glad I sold my land on the big island last year. It sat west of the rift zone near Kilauea but southeast of Manaloa just down the hill a bit. I always had a feeling of dread the whole time I owned that property bc of what lay beneath. It's an awe-inspiring place and when you actually see the cinder cone illuminating bright red and occasional splashes of lava plus the steam vents exhaling steam, it's pretty eerie and the hairs on your arms actually stand on end. Now there are two active volcanos (and I think two more that are inactive...who knows). The big island is a very spiritual place and in fact, the first Hawaiians landed there. There is a simple plaque near the southern beach highway where the first Hawaiians stepped foot.
mauna loa is just a few meters shorter than mauna kea . . . so that's still incredibly tall . . and both of them are waay higher than the 3rd highest mountain: . teide in the canary islands
It can produce relatively small explosive phreatic eruptions accompanied by dangerous pyroclastic flows and historically has alternated between mostly effusive eruptions and mostly phreatic eruptions.
Taupo wasn't actually a lake when the super-eruption occurred. It became a lake after the land collapsed in on itself after the eruption (because there was no lava left to 'hold it up') and formed a caldera. Also, thankfully there were no people in NZ 26000 years ago xD ps, I'm from nz
Yellowstone is not going to go boom and it's not a typical volcano, it's more like a set of Lungs, pushing magma through the system. Only way this could do boom big time would be if the pressure release was blocked from several directions.
I know that Mauna Loa is a great place to put all those telescopes and other astronomical equipment, due to it's height, the clean air and being close enough to drive to from Hilo, but that still seems like a very dangerous place to put all of that expensive equipment. I see why we put so much in Chile's high dessert, as the conditions are much the same, minus the dangerous volcano under their feet. Really about time to think about putting more of that stuff safely in orbit or on the moon - the back side of the moon (as seen from earth, not the sun) would be the perfect place for radio telescopes as the moon would block out all the radio noise from the earth. Eris would be better still, but that won't be possible for a few centuries.
Chile is regularly hit by explosive volcanoes and earthquakes. Not really so different to Mauna Loa except Hawaiian earthquakes are considerably smaller.
just saying this out there are 6 volcanoes on the big island MAUNA LOA, MAUNA KEA, KILAUEA, HUALALAI, PŪ'U O'O AND KOHALA wicth is at the top of the big island
I'm just curious... with all the modern and advanced technology that human can create nowadays, isn't there any way to seal active volcnaoes? Or will it be dnagerous if the lava isn't released?
Lake Taubo, Its Take Taupo (Pronounced Toe-Paw) not Taubo, anyways, I Live I New Zealand & It is at level 2 & I don't live far away from Lake Taupo so it's really scary, This eruption would scare all the 5 million people that live in New Zealand, Lake Taupo is DEADLY Edit: Also last time Lake Taupo had its massive eruption It covered basically all New Zealand
Could it wait a few years, the human race is kinda busy right now…
Great comment! lol
Ask the volcano politely it might agree.
Human race is always busy and ignorant
Issues like massive explosive volcanic eruptions don't stop for other problems like wars or pandemics or recessions.
@@yodorobits a joke mate
THANKS FOR STRESSING US EVEN MORE!!!!😭😭😭😭😭
Congrats to everyone who is early And who found this comment 👏 ❤

Ok

Its last eruption was on November 27, 2022
Let's reach 10000million bright side fans✨✨✨✨
it just erupted November of last year! it wasn't a big eruption but it did erupt. how did you not hear about it and you did a video on it 🤣
I was going to make the same comment! I was lucky to be there when it erupted so I know it happened. They must have edited this before then or they are really out of touch!
We can do it!! Let's get Bright side to 45 mil!
Get movies just passed them😂

This volcano is nothing, the human race is great at ignoring problems. we'll just ignore this too.
Or what ???
No
I mean like..... I don't even kno-
What do you suggest we do?
Well… go do something then. Put a giant cork in it or something 🙄
Um. Correction. The volcano under yellowstone...is the biggest, but Moauna loa is obviously the tallest.
ye agreed but i feel moauna kea is taller
That what I thought he meant and I was about to dip to another country
Bingo
mauna loa is just a few meters shorter than mauna kea . . . so that's still incredibly tall . . and both of them are waay higher than the 3rd highest mountain: . teide in the canary islands
The height doesn't apply. The magma under the ground is what you have to worry about. It would effect the whole Earth...
Mauna Loa is a shield volcano that does not produce explosive eruptions. It could destroy the island but it won’t happen as an explosion.
Stop debunking the fear fearmongers please.
It can produce relatively small explosive phreatic eruptions accompanied by dangerous pyroclastic flows
and historically has alternated between mostly effusive eruptions and mostly phreatic eruptions.
That's not entirely true, if enough water is introduce into the system a shield volcano can erupt violently. But for the most part they do not.
My favorite commentator ah💜

Let’s get him to 100m 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊❤❤❤
Maybe 50m first
Thank you. Interesting as always.
The mauna loa erupted 3 months ago tho? Did you miss that by chance?
And that’s why this channel is called the “BRIGHT SIDE”!… 👀
Here before this blows up
And before 1K view
Litteraly 💀
This volcano JUST erupted. How did you miss that?
I live in Ohio I’ll be fine
Wow!btw here before it blows up
Chill guys, just our mother earth pimples immerging
Yes . . . ... n that's perfect. Nepal had just shown its signal today as a magnitude of 5.6 scale.
The rock are probably saying, “ weeeeeeee!!!”
If every volcano erupted at the same time would life on Earth/the human race be able to survive that?
Probably not because volcano can cause a earthquake too to their vibration
Singaporeans be like:
It sounds improbable for every volcano to erupt at the same time.
It's probably all 200+ volcano erupt at once and it will activate the ring of fire.
After that humanity wouldn't probably survive that
The ash clouds that would spread across the skies... Will block out the sun. Hello new ice age lol
Here we go again!!
mysterious
0:00 - Hi BS. 9:13 - 747th like from me. Cheers.
⏰️💤 wake up time to go
🌋 to work
THE ONLY THING WE DID IS DISCOVERED A MAGMA CHAMBER THAT WAS WAY BIGGER THAN WE THOUGHT, NOT DISCOVER THAT YELLOWSTONE WAS WAKING.
Tell more about Toba Indonesia volcano *?*
*literal end of the world* narrator: waow! :o
Mauna Loa has already erupted
When?
I've counted 7 calderas, possibly 8 (1 I'm not sure about yet), 4 have been smaller eruptions and 3 super eruptions you talked about
This was probably made before Mauna Loa erupted in November
Yelostone supervolcano: am i a joke to you:
Yes we are
"I hope it presses the Snooze button when it wakes up."
Well I guess no vacay for people who were planning for hawai🤷
now if there's any way to funnel all that lava to Washington DC....
But bright side last year when I was on the news the news said the mauna lowa erupted
didn't mauna loa already erupt back in November 28 2022 and the eruption stopped on December 12 2022?
Mauna loa erupted at November 27 last year
Lol
Ohhh so that’s why I heard shaking
you have a decade or two yet and it will not be alone
Then explain how Anak Krakatoa was born if the explosion of Krakatoa was not powerful? Note:Anak mean child according to the Indonesian dictionary. 🤔
No one ever said it wasn't powerful, it was a VE7 eruption, but a super eruption is VE8 or higher
Mt Etna is the world’s largest volcano.
Not according to USGS, Geologist, and every Scientific site on the web it is Mauna loa
hi

The plume currently under Yellowstone has exploded many times in its past. Evidence is available along snake river.
Is that an autocorrected video? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can you do a video on my rainier
Imagine if you were in Hawaii and you just suddenly saw a puddle with a magmatic color
Why is this a video from 1 day ago that says the last time Mauna Loa erupted was 1984 when it was only a few weeks ago when it last erupted???
I know that Mauna Loa is a great place to put all those telescopes and other astronomical equipment, due to it's height, the clean air and being close enough to drive to from Hilo, but that still seems like a very dangerous place to put all of that expensive equipment. The telescopes are on Mauna Kea, not Mauna Loa!
Hello there
It just erupted in November and December!
earth quake will flatten your studio where you make these videos and the houses in which viewers are
The magnitude is 7.8 and 7.5
just saying this out there are 6 volcanoes on the big island MAUNA LOA, MAUNA KEA, KILAUEA, HUALALAI, PŪ'U O'O AND KOHALA wicth is at the top of the big island

Why didn't the volcano have any money?
It went bank-erupt.
We do a bit of trolling
I thought Yellowstone was the largest volcano.
Largest caldera!
I'm just curious... with all the modern and advanced technology that human can create nowadays, isn't there any way to seal active volcnaoes? Or will it be dnagerous if the lava isn't released?
There isn’t a way I used to wonde that to until I found out lol sad but true plus we actually need it to be produced
I think that will make things worse because it will cause pressure build up which will make a even stronger eruption. If I'm wrong someone correct me
Don't alter nature, have we not learned that yet!?
Don’t worry I live in an area where there is no volcanos, I’m fine
Yellowstone is the biggest volcano
Not according to USGS, Geologist, and every Scientific site on the web it is Mauna loa
It erupted in 2022 nothing happened maybe another time
Umm being from New Zealand I am gonna say that Lake Taupo is pronounced Tow-por as it being a Maori word.
Yellowstone has only had two eruptions, not three….
Well technically its had more but only 2 classed as super eruption of VE 8 or higher
Lake Taubo, Its Take Taupo (Pronounced Toe-Paw) not Taubo, anyways, I Live I New Zealand & It is at level 2 & I don't live far away from Lake Taupo so it's really scary, This eruption would scare all the 5 million people that live in New Zealand, Lake Taupo is DEADLY

The Biggest Valcano Is Olympus Mons
Mauna loa did erupt but it didn't harm that much I live at Hawaii and it's not to bad
Wait till Toba or Yellowstone errupts.
how about mauna Kaya "sorry for maybe wrong spelling"
Hello from the future, Mauna Loa did erupt, but it only killed marshmellows, which wws caused by tourists
It's ok, it just has gas so it will burp and go back to sleep.
Volcano Tornado alley ultimate!
hello
San Andreas.
Hii
Its been happening big, bigger biggest and smaller for many, many years.
Mount everest is actually in an Indian state of kashmir the coldest state in india
We are going to die anyways 😂
I'll believe everything when I see it. We're still waiting for the 'big one' in California 🙄
No comparison to the Hunga Tonga???????
It was only a VEI 5.7 for scale the May 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens rated a VEI of 5
hi?
How do you upload a video about a volcano and act like it didn't just erupt a few months ago?
Yellowstone erupt?!
@@karnage8960 mauna loa
Bro get movies just passed bright side in subscribers a little while ago
Yellowstone is the biggest
Not according to USGS, Geologist, and every Scientific site on the web it is Mauna loa

Sup om nick bartel I'm a volcanologist ask me questions and I will answer them
Yellowstone has been found to be 20 % full of magma
Yessir
What will happen if you throw dry ice into a volcano
Mauna loa could erupt on 2024
Mauna Kea is the tallest
Correction it erupted in November 2022
