Hi, I've got a question, installed the comfort springs from ironman. And now I've got a driveline vibration. Tried to install the centre bearing drop kit and it didn't really help much. Any advice?
I don't have a Toyota but I carry a lot of gear, I imagine the main incompatibility between leaf kits for different models of utes/pickups is the location of the bushes. Is there any reason why you couldn't take a couple of leafs of the same size or and stick them beneath your top leaf either on the primary or secondary? I've noticed some leaf packs have the same or almost the same length for some of the mid-leafs, can you add more leafs to this to stiffen the springs? If I were to do that would it be necessary to replace the shocks? Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
You can stack up your own leaf pack. Ypu can do this by adding more thin leaves. The problem will most pickups is the leafsprings sit on top of the axles, and adding more leafs increases rear height. If you buy an aftermarket leaf set, the curve of the springs is altered to give a uniform height. As for shocks,if the height increases, you might need longer travel shocks.

Poly is a good rotational bearing and it does not mind grease, hence the greasable shackles. This way you get less friction at the shackles. Poly is not good with flex and vibration dampening, but you dont want the shackles to flex, but you want the springs to flex. As for shocks, you have a lot of angle changes so rubber is better, plus it absorbs more vibration. Using Poly on shocks will give more side loading and bending forces the shocks causing premature seal wear.

Good morning sir. Anu po ang maganda sa comfort shackles or add a leaf for hilux conquest? Yung unit ko sir is not for loading purposes. City driving lang siya mostly po. Salamat sir.
Usually the mistake is too stiff a coil. As a remedy they run the shocks on #1 setting, so they have no damping and you bounce around all the time. This is a common mistake here in Pinas.
Have you considered more than just your shocks and leafs? What tyres are you running? If you have lower profile tyres you will have less suspension and a stiffer ride. Tyres are part of your suspension (air/rubber spring).
@@Senkino5o good point. However, if you deflate the tires to soften them, you actually start the suspension movement at the tire and not the shock and spring. The bad thing is tires (air/rubber spring) are un-damped as they have nothing to stop them from bouncing around like a basketball. That is why softening the tire is a good thing up to a certain point, the point where they will not interfere with the shocks/spring ability to do their job. That is why offroad race trucks and rally cars run normal tire pressures, so the suspension can do its job properly.

All springs. A, B, C, or D. The load rating on the springs (comfort, no load, with load, heavy load, or whatever people call it) is ONLY about accessory load, not total load. Why do Ironman uses poly bushing for leaf springs while it uses rubber for shocks and arms

Hello, my hilux is so stiff even with ridemax and lovells, what upgrades should i do? Thanks! 🤟🏾

Sir I have a question, does the leaf spring and coil spring has a difference when it comes in riding condition? Especially in uphill condition.. does the car with coil spring will have more effort in riding than leaf spring?
Supposedly no sir. However, if your leadsprings are too soft, you will get axle arap, the the rear will vibrate, or worst, dribble.
Cois sprung vehicles have rears with a 4 link or 3 link setup. This means they do bot get axle wrap as the rear axle is held in place by the links.

Ironman 4x4 Philippines thanks! How much for, toyota hilux A spring?
1000kg weight for which Spring use??
All springs. A, B, C, or D. The load rating on the springs (comfort, no load, with load, heavy load, or whatever people call it) is ONLY about accessory load, not total load. Accessory load meaning things you cannot remove from the car. BUT all the springs will and are designed to load up to Gross Vehicle Weight rating of the car manuracturer, in the case of most pickups, 1 ton.
So A, B, C, or D ratings are how much weight does the accessories you have installed have, in order to achieve the rated lift height.
So this is the part mostly misunderstood by sellers and clients.
Hello Ironman. I have a hilux, and it rides as stiff as a rock. Can I put "add a leaf" and keep everything else stock?
