We can get any height using springs. The thing is, with an independent front suspension (IFS), you need to have a 60mm sag/droop to work properly. 3 inches is a little over the limit for your vehicles components, (front axles, steering, balljoints, etc). Lift height depends on age of vehicle, plus the amount of sag/droop it can handle.

Hello sir, very good explanation but front differential and CV joints are unsprung weight and hence should not matter on front weight between 2WD and 4WD. So both should have similar front spring requirement. Cheers
They are sprung weights on IFS suspension sir. Independent suspension like in the example of the video carry all thos components on the chassis side and are sprung weights. It is unsprung if your vehicle is a solid axle front.
On IFS suspension, the front differential is bolted to the chassis, so is the transfer case, front propeller shaft, and the 2 CV joints. This plus the braces and supports that hold them in place is about a 100kg difference is SPRUNG weight more or less. All carried by the springs.
If you look at a brand new 2022 Hilux E 4x2, you will see the front coils have a green/red paint code and a different part number over the 2022 Hilux 4x4, which runs a blue/green code and different partnumber.
Your theory is correct for Solid Axle 4x4s where only the transfer case and prop shaft is sprung, but the front diff (CV axles inside the diff housing) are all unsprung.

Which springs is best for 1996 - 2000 Toyota RAV4 3s Gen..I need your advice
Hello @ironman! I'm planning to install ironman FC on my 2021 Strada Athlete 4x4. Main reason for the lift is to have a better rear suspension. Stock leaf spring of the Strada seems to be flat, which makes the ride harsh. Though I have already upgraded my suspension to Tein Endura Pro.
Can you please recommend a setup which will give me a properly stanced setup for a city driven pickup.
I was thinking of using Coil A, then remove the fat bar along with the add-a-leaf. I'm not eyeing for a 2" lift on my ride. I can live with the 20mm lift in front, as long as the rear height wouldn't be too awkward.
Appreciate this video! 👏🏻
If its a 4x4 without bullbar we can run the As with a 15mm preload ring on the foam cells. At the rear we can go addaleaf and remove the fat leaf.
@@ironman4x4philippines20 thanks for replying! As long as the preload spacers won't compromise the ride quality, I think I would rather have Coil A than the 30mm lift from Coil B (w/o spacer).

@@joshdavid1738 yes it will be better as A is a softer spring

You can; just adjust your shocks height i did one for my client and it works well. Just keep in mind your sag and droop of your suspension.
No lift added n front after installing ironman foam cell type A coils front and rear. 4x4 Np300 please help.
Hi. Im using navara 2019 and wanted to lift my car. Currenty it only has 33s tires. Im confused which spring rate should i choose? In the future i may get a bullbar and winch. But for now its still stock. So if i choose to get the B spring, would it be rough on daily driving?
Thanks!
Hi sir! Thanks for the comment. Is it a 4x4? What shocks are you using?
@@ironman4x4philippines20 its 4x4, all coil (no leaf). Currently its all factory shocks and springs. Im gonna change to the foam cells. But i dont know about the spring rates. Will it be rough if i go with B springs without accesories for few months?
@@enrioray2615 I would go Foam Cells and B front, and A rear sir
san po pwede mag order ng c spring?

Good day sir, pag nag palit ako ng D spring madagdagan din ba ang payload ng sskyan? Np300 VL MT..
Yes pwede, but using D on a light vehicle will lead to no sag/droop and the result is a very harsh ride.
Just use airbag man so you can just inflate it when needed for heavier payload and deflate for a comfortable ride.
@@jebbdomingo9173 sir, okay ba ang airbag. Gaano katagal bgo masira ang airbag?
