Just watched the movie last night! I didn't think he is douchy. He is joking why Frances took so long to get money. Then the guy saw she was bleeding on the arm and got her home to aid her.
So I used to watch this movie literally once a week, and when I went to go see Star Wars: Force Awakens a few days ago, I didn't even realize that Adam Driver, who plays Lev in this film, also plays Kylo Ren! After discovering that little tidbit of trivia, I have so much more respect for him as an actor. You know a thespian is incredibly talented/has excellent range when they can play two characters who for the most part look/sound alike and you can't even tell that they are brought to life by the same person. After his performance as Kylo, I'm never gonna look at this scene the same way again! Haha XD

Same here! I guess it proves the guy is a douche bag. ( Maybe he isn't. Have not seen the rest of the movie, but so far, he behaves "douchy" )

I really liked this movie, as of this writing it's on Netflix streaming in the States.

The music does not fit the mood of this scene at all. It worked in Les Quatre Cents Coups but not in Frances Ha.
