I was sober for 3 months, then relapsed. Im going into my 3rd week of drinking from relapsing. So, I stop now because of your talk. It was a glitch in the road to recovery. I just dread the first 3 days of detoxing. The truth. I look forward to living awake during the day and getting my projects done. Im sick and tired of being my own worst enemy.

I understand the sick and tired of being sick and tired. Idk why but always around the 3mo mark is when I’d get squirrelly.. I am with u 1000% on withdrawal physical symptoms for 3-4 days. With us being our own worst enemy..
It’s almost as if we take over where the abuser left off.
I’m here if u need anything.
      Good thing is
      U realized it 👍🏻💕

Thank you for this warning, at around my 3 month point I’ll be travelling for my god daughter’s confirmation, and those get togethers are always a huge booze fest, I have to really muster up peak resolve for that. I’ve tried before and relapsed like you, but I know we can do it, each time we do learn something that helps the final push. You absolutely can be your own best friend ❤, so can I 🤞🏼

I had 16 months of sobriety before I relapsed at the end of December. Now I am 10 weeks sober and have really been struggling with cravings, and it always stems from nostalgia. The good memories come flooding back, and I feel this overwhelming urge to try it again. Maybe this time will be different. But no, it will not. And I have to accept that. I just get so frustrated that I can't drink like a normal person. It is complete insanity. I really, really appreciate this video. Your content is so incredibly meaningful and exactly what I needed to hear tonight. Love you too, buddy❤❤ Thanks for all you do!

Thanks for all you do. I have alcoholics in my family. My sister was diagnosed with acute liver disease. My brother drinks too much. My mom used to drink a lot. I hate it. Alcohol is poison. Keep up the good work.

I am so sorry to hear that. Oh my gosh. I'm sure that you do hate alcohol. I have a lot of them in my family too and should have known better than to play around with that stuff. It's the most horrible drug there is in my opinion. It's everywhere and you can literally score it anywhere. It almost took my life twice now and I have spent 3 months in the hospital and so many Dr's appointments and surgeries that I can't even remember. It absolutely 💯 without a doubt is poison! Thank you so much for your generosity! I can't thank you enough! God bless

I lost my sister 5 days ago to alcoholic liver disease. She was only 47 years old. I’m so mad at her for letting the disease win, for not fighting harder to save her own life, for continuing to kill herself with a bottle of vodka. This video has helped to to understand what she was going thru a little more. Thank you. I hope you are able to keep power of this horrible disease that is addiction and continue to heal❤️

  • @manephewlenny6401
    @manephewlenny6401 7 месяцев назад +9

I had 6.5 years sober but then my mother died and I went a bit mad for a few years from 2022. Resetting your days can lead to you thinking "screw it I've failed" and can lead to more and more slips. I view sobriety as a path through rugged terrain. We can stray from the path and risk bad things happening to us or we can do the easy thing and stay on that path. If you lose the path, remember why you're doing this and find it again. The more times you lose your way, the harder it gets. If you're lost, shout out to someone. We aren't stranded in jungle terrain, the addiction wants us to surrender into silence. We can't always find our way back and sometimes we never do. I found my path again on Christmas Eve last year after a year of struggling to put a week together. To underestimate alcohol can be a death sentence!

Sober since 2017, relapsed so many times before I realized that I can’t control it and a little is never enough. It appears this is your therapy, doing this allows you to speak out loud your own thoughts. But don’t rely solely on this platform, find sober friends or friends that support your sobriety to the point they won’t drink around you.

    Hi again 😂
Here are some tips to help avoid binge drinking:
    1. **Set Limits**: Before you start drinking, decide how many drinks you'll have and stick to that number.
    2. **Pace Yourself**: Aim to have no more than one standard drink per hour. Remember to drink water or non-alcoholic beverages in between the alcoholic ones.
    3. **Eat Before and During Drinking**: Having food in your stomach can slow down the absorption of alcohol.
    4. **Choose Quality Over Quantity**: Opt for a smaller amount of more expensive or higher-quality drinks that you'll savor rather than larger quantities of cheaper options.
    5. **Avoid Peer Pressure**: Stay firm in your decision not to drink too much. If you're feeling pressured, it's okay to say no or to have a non-alcoholic drink instead.
    6. **Plan Activities**: Engage in activities that don't revolve around drinking. If you're busy having fun doing other things, you'll be less likely to overindulge in alcohol.
    7. **Know Your 'No'**: Have a polite, but firm way to decline drinks when you've reached your limit.
    8. **Seek Support**: If you find it difficult to control your drinking, consider talking to someone who can provide help or guidance.
Remember, the key is moderation and being conscious of your drinking habits.
    OR
Do not drink at all , i know i cant drink alcohol.
    Thank you for being here❤

Even though I have 20 months sober now , it’s still one day at a time for me . I too have relapsed many times in the past , & it is so hard to quit again once I have started . It is so true what they say . Going back out drinking and expecting that things will be better this time , is pure hogwash ! It always gets worse . Last time I relapsed, I picked up another impaired driving charge . I never want to go through that kind of extremely stressful situation ever again . 🙏🙏❤

I have a great deal of problems, filling the void, that the alcohol and drugs left me with. Feels like time runs slower, there is more to do, and I struggle with that.

One of the things that help the most for me when I really really want to drink is to think it thru. All we can think of is how great it would be to get drunk. So act as if you’ve had that drink, had another, and another and another, and how disgusted I was with myself. Did I call someone and make a fool of myself, get behind of wheel of my car, make a big mess directly caused by the drinking? Probably. And I remember how badly I felt. I remember how badly it made me feel. It is NEVER EVER worth it.

Hey jersey girl! ❤❤❤ you are so welcome!!! I'm sure you know why I made it. 😉 I don't know if you saw the video I made the other day about how much I actually drank, but I drank tequila for years. It was the first liquor that I really started drinking heavy. My old boss from back in my 20s was a tequila drinker and he kind of inspired me to start drinking it. I really admired him. He was like a father to me. Anyway.... my point is that I drank it for many years... all different kinds. I know what you mean. It was something I drank everyday. At the end of the day... you learned something from it. That's all that matters and I know tomorrow will be a new day and a sober one for you too. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that you will be sober from here on out. I hope that you are feeling ok tonight! Thank you for being you and I'm sending love your way!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ God bless

U good brother? U seem a bit tired. I know u go through a lot. Stick with that plant hobby. It'll make your day better. Also, not only are the negative emotions and "problems" still there, but when I was viciously hungover it was 1000% worse....I mean terribly worse to the point I could not breathe right. I felt weak and sick. I felt terrible malaise and could barely move. Legs were heavy and weak. ER visits. High Blood Pressure. Headaches. The list goes on and on and on, and it doesn't get any better. Part of survival is being in the moment and getting knocked down. That's supposed to happen. Without the bitter, the sweet just isn't as sweet anymore. People have to expect that they'll actually wake up tomorrow, and if you do wake up, u DO NOT want to be waking up as an addict 4sure. So u r correct.

I can relate to the emotional changes you experienced when drinking. I would go from happy, to angry, to crying for no reason with in a short period of time when I got really drunk, lol. But looking back, I can see now that I wasn't crying for no reason; the tears came from me thinking about all the negative stuff going on in my life at that time. You really do focus on that stuff more than you would when sober, and it really gets you down!!! Also, you're right about relapse; it's easy to get sober, but so hard to stay sober long-term! 😞

Hello new friend! Glad to hear your voice. I am visually impaired human. My eyeballs do not work but my brain is #fabulous #thankyou❤❤
I am a type of alcoholic 🙃 I am a binge drinker. I can go decades, and I have, then all of the sudden life happens and boom The Jager bottle is calling.
    What is #BingeDrinking?
Binge drinking is defined as a pattern of drinking alcohol that brings a person's blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to 0.08 grams percent or above. This typically happens when men consume 5 or more drinks, and when women consume 4 or more drinks, in about 2 hours. It's a dangerous practice that can lead to harmful consequences, both immediate and long-term. For example,
some immediate consequences of binge drinking include impaired judgment, which can lead to accidents and injuries, alcohol poisoning, which is a serious and potentially deadly condition, and engaging in risky behaviors, like unsafe driving or unprotected you know. It can also result in blackouts, memory lapses, and severe hangovers. These effects can have significant, immediate impacts on one's health and safety. But we do not think it will happen to*me*.
Thank you again for being here. Your testimony, your strength for others like myself. It does help to know, tho your struggle is different, that I am not alone here. And blind...I really feel alone sometimes. God bless new friend..maybe check my channel out only if you have time ofc. #saymyname what happened to me is #real even when others do not believe. • @happyhomebody1556

I just got blood work and my numbers were 108 and 109 and the doctor said it’s bad, but reversible. They don’t get very concerned until it’s 1000. He said if I keep going it will continue to increase. He told me if I quit drinking now within two to three weeks it’ll lower. But if I wait longer, it’ll just keep going up and then be harder to Lower. Eventually, I’ll go into liver failure and then kidney failure. So I stopped drinking Sunday. Your numbers aren’t that bad, but you should stop drinking. Or at least take a two week break and then cut back after that. how much are you drinking a day, if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve drank for many many years, but times have gotten harder and the past couple months I went pretty hard. This month I’ve been drinking about a liter of bourbon a day. That’s what did it.
Like I said, I’ve drank pretty much as long as I was able to. I’m now 43. I drink every single day. Pretty much 2 to 3 drinks a day and then sometimes more on occasions. My liver numbers have always been normal. I just went too hard and it took a toll on my liver. Also, that much bourbon and hard liquor is just too rough. Normally I drink wine or beer. My numbers were completely normal in November and now they’re high. I stopped drinking and I will get my blood checked again in approximately two weeks. I’ll let you know if the numbers went back down to normal.

    And I’m missing out
    While you hold me
    Beams of gold
    Flowing through the blinds
    Tomorrow you won’t be around
    Leave me wondering how

Being happy with yourself not needing to be medicated with alcohol. So many times we drink to not be lonely or forget painful things we experienced.

You, dont mind If I call you pro-alkoholics, I am that to drugs, but I have never had withdrawal. In opiates, it takes, like two days and you are stuck with withdrawals again. Is that same timeline apllying to alkohol? I wish somebody could tell me, I am a curious man.

Hey there! The withdrawal from alcohol starts pretty quickly. It's hours after your last drink. It's pretty bad. I have no experience with opiate withdrawal, but from what I understand, it's horrible! Thank you! God bless

Call on the Lord Jesus Christ! Confess your weakness and need for a Saviour. Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd day. He paid it all with His precious blood. He delivered me from alchohoism in 2018. I was close to dying. He heard my cry and set me free Hallelujah!

Hey there! So I’ve been around professional relapsers, in this video you sound very dismissive of relapsing. On my side I’m much more concerned as to how this relapsing affects the family, friends, and loved ones of those who choose to relapse. I can tell you it’s heartbreaking!
My admiration runs with those who have ‘five years sober’ they can’t be discounted!
