Hi. Microsoft stated that for 365 users to have unlimited archive, you need to have an Exchange Online Plan 2 license. I have done this on a user with Exchange Online Plan 1 and it works. The archive is now at 110gb. Now the question is, will there be hidden charges or something? please advice. thanks
Hi James. MS is correct - Exchange Online Plan 2 gets the unlimited archive but so does the E3 and the a la carte archive license. Exchange Online Plan 1 only gets 50 GBs of email capacity. That can be shared between the inbox and the personal archive, if activated. It's curious how you're seeing 110 GBs. Do you happen to have the a la carte archive license in addition to the Plan 1? Not sure about the hidden charges but you should perhaps buy the a la carte archive just to be in compliance. It's only a couple dollars a month.
how to check autoexpanding is activated?
