It looks like what I am doing converting a 2 door wagon to a Nomad. Now I am installing the Nomad doors to align the B pillers for the proper spacing for the rear Nomad rear quarters. It has been 5 years on this project. The B pillers, I'm building from inside out and buiding new rear sliders channels that no one makes. It had been challenge but it is rewarding. Lucky I have a original Nomad I have had since 1974 which I am using as a reference.
Good luck on the build because it is a lot of work. So your building a Bad Chad floor. I wish had before I rebuilt mine.

You should look up double nickel Chevy in Athens,Ga. Great people with a true love for the tri fives. Also recommend doing the rain gear wipe system, remove that old stuff and clean up the fire wall at the same time.

Been building tri five Chevys for 30 plus years. Very familiar with Double Nickel but I use H&H. As far as Raingear wiper systems, I've installed a couple in customer cars.

That’s quite the ambitious project Rob but I’m sure if anyone can do it, you can! It’s a bonus you’ve got so many original pieces of sheet metal to use. Nice job!

Great vid. I am just starting the final 1/3 of my 55 2 door and you have been very helpful! I would love to see how you removed the winshield and how the wipers were installed. My project was a parts car and I am replasing parts like the parking brake, wiper system and vents that were removed. Not too much rust, but they swapped a bad door and now I am replacing. As well.

After doing many cars 50s 60s 70s 3 trifives when you were stripping the rear quarter I knew from past experience you should’ve been cutting the whole damn thing off so now it bit ya.

I didn’t know the frame horns on my ‘55 were bent until the front clip came off. What I thought was all original front sheetmetal is probably a nice front clip from another car (or maybe GM replacement panels back when those were available). It’s been on there so long all the patina blended together. It’s still going to be a nice car, just not what I originally thought.

You must have some pretty understanding neighbors that you can do your work in your driveway. For the uneducated they might think you are running a junk yard rather than you saving the icons of the US auto industry.
