  • Once homeless, Carlos Mesquita speaks about losing his music business and career when he fell into drug abuse and how he has come to set up his non-profit, The Rehoming Collective. Fuelled by a deep understanding of what it means to be homeless and how the situation can be remedied, Mesquita highlights that the barriers to re-entry into society can be impenetrable when, for example, one is unable to get a permit to trade without an address. In an extended interview, Mesquita says that if you give people who have been struggling for such a long period agency, they will trust you and will not disappoint you.

Carte Blanche. Both interviews of homeless people were too long. You could have edited it to make it short and sweet

Thanks for your valuable feedback Dean. These are extended interviews, so we don't cut them down. So appreciate your input though.

@@carteblanchetv I am overwhelmed by the personal response of Carte Blanche. I feel so proud of it, I only thought I make a response to what I felt was not good for our viewers especially us that subscribe to their youtube uploads. I am watching your programme since the beginnig, it started way back late 1980's with Derek Watts and Ruda Landman. A proud fan of yours in Namibia
