I was there 2 weeks ago with my husband. We stayed at the Maya Sanur resort and spa. We loved the area, nice hustle and bustle. It didn't seem like a busy/ live area, but equally, I wouldn't class it as quiet. We also tried out the Paradise café which we loved. The Luvene Spa was amazing too. We also walked past the development, which is still ongoing. The exterior has been built not sure about the interior. We walked past it at midnight and workers were still hard at work. What we loved about it was being closer to the beach.
Love Sanur!! Has been my base for all my trips to Bali. I do agree that it is changing with all the new development but that is progress in the world. Love Paradise Gym always stop after my morning walk for a smoothie bowl for breakfast! Only 37 days until I'm back in my happy place!
I've heard that from a few people, must be good for it. I mainly use Paradise for the gym but the food is surprisingly good and healthy too. Have a great time 👍🏼
@@LewisJJC I just checked it out Sanur a few days ago actually! Found a place as well. It definitely seems to be a quieter part of Southern Bali, which is really nice. Let me know if you have any restaurant recommendations please!
I think you nailed the desciption.... Ive allways been using Sanur as "base" since '95. Guess Im old then....😎 A few days here and there....and then back to Sanur. The live music scene is great. Casablanca, NyoNyo ...and so on Looking forward to getting back here on the 15th of march again 🙂
Sanur actually has better road infrastructure than Canggu. But i hope it does not turn into another canggu. so people have who wants to chill has a place
In 20 years of going to Sanur never heard of it being called snore. have heard of Kuta and Seminyak being referred to as sh-t, Sanur does not have the drunks
Really, I heard the nickname before I even explored it for myself. There are pros and cons for every area but there's a good reason I got out of Seminyak for sure

We love Sanur, we are in the older age group. Loved your video and really loved how you pronounced the words/names correctly
Great to hear that, and I tried my best!
Good review, I’ll definitely check out some of the places you recommended. Thank you.
Cheers Alistair, glad it was helpful

you missed one of the main attractions of sanur you can walk down the street without getting hammered "you buy you buy " every where you go
What do you mean?people try to selling things on you?
Great breakdown of that main street, dude! I'm diggin' that cat cafe. I'll have to check that out if I move to Sanur.
Thanks well there's only 1 main street so it was easy to decide where to show. I never even tried it before I left haha, you can let me know!!

Cheers, it seems like a good place for that. I haven't tried most of the bars but I do like the live music atmosphere too. Enjoy your trip!
Love sanur, nice review, thanks
Nice nice bali❤❤❤
Agreed!!
2 more days and I will be there again!!! cant wait
Very lucky, have a great time
Heading Bali tomorrow...Sanur sounds good 2 us..50+ yr olds lol.
Cheers!
Go be with your people and have a great time! Check out my beachfront tour video for more top places too, cheers
@LewisJJC spent last 6 hrs in Kuta...and thats enough rubbish all over the beach ..what a shit show...hoping for better somewhere else
You won’t be disappointed in Sanur.
That's a definitely turn-off when visiting in the rainy season - it was awful in Seminyak when I was there too

They know what are they doing bro, there will be MRT on bali. So this is not bad Investment for future
progress.... some for the best, but yessss some for the worse. Good resumee..well done
Thanks, yep I can definitely see it both ways. I'm no longer around to find out but will be interesting to see it in the future!
Sanur is kinda lit tho 👀 wicked parrot 🤪
It's the place to be on a Friday night!
👍
200k for a casual single gym visit, 400k for week! 😮 That's full on ridiculous, do you get a 3 course meal and all you can drink for those prices?
At Paradise you mean? I paid 1mil for a month, but the day passes are considerably worse value, that's for sure.
@@LewisJJCdamn, 3x as much as a kitted out Australian gym for a month.
Yer, but the return flights to attend a gym back in Oz kills the deal.
yes its so quitttt
Very!
Starbucks? 1000 car park cinema? Oh no!
Any trouble with the Russians ?
I personally didn't have any, but it's noticeable in Bali. Lots of Australians too
This is no progress! The original Bali is disappearing... You can find the real Bali in the north.
Sadly I think you're quite right
Can you give me ideas to go for the "real bali" with authentic food? Specifically, What city up north represents the real bali?
@@Shondasjourney I don't like Balinese food...I don't like every day rice+hot spices
