  • Content marketing has become an increasingly effective way for clothing brands to sell their products in 2023. With so many brands competing for attention, it's not enough to just have a great product anymore. You need to create content that tells your brand's story, engages your audience, and builds a loyal following. By producing high-quality content that showcases your brand's values, aesthetic, and unique selling points, you can create a deeper connection with your target audience and drive sales in a more organic and authentic way. Whether it's through social media, blog posts, videos, or other forms of content, the key is to provide value and entertainment to your audience, while also subtly promoting your products. By prioritizing content marketing in your overall strategy, you can set your clothing brand apart and build a sustainable business that resonates with your customers. No not at all his advice is actually bad and not good. He's highlighting that social media is the focal point at becoming successful and it's not at least when you start out.
      What you're supposed to do is gain interest in person maybe do local events to market. Then you follow up with using social media as a tool to make online sales. Doing it the other way around is literally going to set you up failure.
      I don't care what this guy portrays himself as having this big busines or money guru he's giving a layout for failure not success. Makes sense though because genuine advice especially "business" advice is never free.

      NO you hire help such as a video marketing agency that creates content for e-commerce brands. If your toilet was broken you'd hire a plumber right? Same thing goes for your marketing content

    I’m 34 and my daughter is 16, and we don’t shop that way. We shop online and in the malls. Not through influencers. and brands made by influencers. I have occasionally bought new cloths from small business owners at pop up craft type fairs that have a variety of boutiques and shops.

    For a guy who's running a clothing brand that seems at scale, he sure does give bad advice. It's better to find an event locally rent a booth and start from there then fall back onto social media. You can't start on social media as a complete nobody and hope you're getting traffic for sales just doesn't seem efficient.

    • @dblaze9757
      @dblaze9757 Год назад +17

      I don't mean to be rude but while you're waiting for that event to happen, with your paid booth and money spent on inventory, someone started a RUclips channel for free, posted interesting stuff for free, is interacting with people in that niche for free and is getting feedback on their concepts for free. It is not bad advice, it is the most efficient way to start a small clothing business in 2023 without investing money on something you aren't sure will work.

    • @MM3OG

      @@dblaze9757 you're not being rude you're just speaking your opinion regardless if I disagree. I personally think it's still bad advice and sure starting a RUclips channel is free. Although, RUclips is very niche and you already have to have some sorta clout or marketing for people to even watch your video. While let's say comparing my approach to a local event that costs $25-$50 bucks max for a booth rental fee while also physically interacting with people using sales tactics to peak interest. The event is just to create "traction" in order to move sales "online". Also need to add that I find about 5-10 available vendor events in 1 month. I average gross $900-$1,200 in 3-4 hours of sales and that's just for 1 event. I usually do about 3 to 4 events a month on weekends just to give you a perspective on my revenue. I'm also never usually just "waiting around" like you had mentioned because I put effort into research and finding events. That's just being a complete nobody with a small apparel business that's brand new with no clout other than using my own sales knowledge to market. Also keep in mind these events are only to gain interest and move that interest towards online sales. I'm creating traction first, building rapport, and then moving that interest "online". It's way more difficult to be successful the other way around because people will not click or bother looking at your product online if it's not well known apparel already. You're literally leaving your revenue or income up to hope at that point. You're free to have your opinion but I personally still think it's bad advice based on what I just explained. Sometimes you need to go after things yourself, technology is a good aiding tool but it's just a business crutch not your foundation. It's also not a very stable one unless you somehow already have recognition. The only way to see what I'm saying is to try it out yourself. Try selling your personal items as a business with no one knowing anything about you online and see how far you get.

      @@dblaze9757that’s good advice. Although I don’t think people realize just because you have a audience on RUclips doesn’t translate to sales. You still have to have a consistent and quality product. If you try to market crap to people they will just see right through you. Probably best to just hire someone to run your channel that has knowledge already if your interest is in building a business and have money for marketing. Unless of course you have $0.

      Try to obtain at least a few samples. You and close friends / family could do photo shoot showing off the items. Get creative as possible with the limited inventory.

    • @businessbullsin
      @businessbullsin 11 месяцев назад

      Let me explain: first decide what niche you wanna target first, post relatable content.
      For example: if your target audience is playing “GOLF” then post content about Golf that way you can attract people and then slowly you can start dropping merch around the niche
