Something Zeltik pointed out that I didn't notice the first time was how many echoes Zelda can create is dependent on the number of triangles Tri has attached to them. If you go back and look, when Zelda makes an echo, a triangle disappeared behind Tri and hovered over the echo. On a personal note, I hope this explains the divergence of the two Zora races.

This is a sequel to Four Swords Adventures! The Gerudo are here. Both types of Zora tribes. The Deku Scrubs and Deku Tree. In the Downfall timeline the more familiar Zoras have moved away along with the Gorons. Only the Zola remain. There is one man reminiscent of the Gorons that owns a mine. Gulley is the forest sage like Saria. The Deku tribes also moved away. The Gerudo became extinct (maybe), the Sheikah are still small and hidden away.
@@flashgordon2732 Not the GBA one, the Gamecube one (Which still needs a freaking rerelease! Along with English Voice acting for Navi Trackers!) The Gamecube one is on the Child Timeline.
I think that this game takes place before Breath of the Wild, AND before Rauru and Sonia founded the Hyrule that we see in BotW and TotK. This is definitely the beginning of that linear timeline though, seeing as both of the Zora archetypes are meeting, but it's similarities to alttp and albw's Hyrules just makes it impossible for me to believe that it's the SAME Hyurle on the same continent.
This title blew me away because it seemingly came out of no where. I enjoyed the Link to the Past remake far more than I expected that I would. I really like the "top down 3D" art style that almost looks like a LEGO title. The echo dynamic looks interesting. I never expected a brand new dynamic in a top down Zelda title like this, but I'll definitely be snagging this one on Day One.
Notice how she finds the fairy while she’s in a jail cell right after the guards come up to her, and then the next shot after the gel sale she has on a cloak like she’s trying to hide her self
I'd say Link fighting Ganon is not a cutscene. Why? Because of shadows! Take a look at Link's shadow in this battle - it's a circle. Zelda's shadow is also a circle while in a gameplay. However, in cutscenes (BOTW-like opening and when soldiers bow to her) it is a normal shadow. Similarly, NPCs have normal shadows as well. I think they made it a circle for us to easier see where the character lands after jumping. So I think Link is playable during this fight, which likely means he'll be playable again later in the game (final battle after Zelda saves him, perhaps). Upd: Link's shadow is normal in an obvious cutscene moment when he dispatches 3 darknuts with a spin. Yet, it's a circle in a fight. So it's not just a fluke.
Zeltik did an analysis video that points out how Tri has triangles floating above his/her head. These decrease by the amount of triangles on the echo pictures as you cast them. Tri must be upgradable to progress the story.
Since Link has that purple glow in in the shot where he's next to Ganon, I wonder if Ganon will possess Link this time instead of Zelda. Now you know how it feels, Link!
IT IS THE *ZONAITE BOW!* You're not going crazy, that's identical to the Zonaite Bow. And I tell you what else? The cloak Link wears, is the same one from ToTK! 🧥
@@Zeldatheoristb211 It's not the zonaite bow, it's just a color similarity. I'm guessing it's some kind of a steel bow, same color as the Master Sword, Hell maybe it's the Hero's Bow since the Master Sword seems to be similar in color. It's not zonaite though. This is apparently a sequel to Link's Awakening, and the BoTW Timeline doesn't start until well after the end of all the other timelines.
I would love it if you could play as link in the dark world and Zelda in the light world. I always thought they would attempt this with ToTk with Zelda in the past timeline. Perhaps it’s too much to build 2 distinct worlds…
Not at all, that's a fantastic idea and given we link with a new attack in the trailer (the jumping spin slash) I wouldn't be surprised if he were playable at certain and maybe their interactions within each world will help each other. That said, with so much emphasis on Zelda herself in the title it's hard to tell whether or not they'd showcase link, then again we've not seen what exactly is in these rifts.
1:44 "The version of Ganon that exclusively appears in the downfall timeline" shows a picture of the only pig Ganon that appears outside of the downfall timeline that being four swords adventures
I think maybe Hyrule Gamer is trying to hint at some kind of merger of timelines. The fact that FSA's shows a Hyrule that is "allegedly" after TP, but bares no similarities nor connections to TP, but rather ALttP & ALBW? That perhaps FSA is in this *"merger timeline"* future where the games and eras of Hyrule are mashed into one. Hence why he uses *FSA's Ganon* intentionally to showcase this connection.
@@Zeldatheoristb211 yeah i feel like FSA doesn't really fit in the child timeline but i also think hyrule gamer might have just had an oversight because this is the best sprite for ganon
I'm hoping the cover art displayed at the end means there will be a corrupted Link trying to stop us. In the end, this Link is revealed to be an evil entity taking on Link's form. The final fight sees the real Link returning, and Zelda and Link fight this evil side by side. Then in a future title we get to play through Link's journey with the same final fight along side Zelda.
MY THEORY: the timeline merge that happened some time before the events of BOTW was slow. VERY slow. talking took place over thousands of years kinda slow. the three timelines would have slowly bled into eachother. this explains why it isnt mentioned in the history of BOTW/TOTK hyrule. it was too slow to notice. and this game takes place at the earlier stages of the merge. thats why its got mostly fallen timeline stuff.
Allegedly, but the game was designed as a direct sequel to FS and clearly leads into LTTP. Its placement in the official "child" timeline and in a totally separate timeline from LTTP is completely arbitrary and makes very little sense. The only reason this is done is because of Gerudo comments in-game and not even from Ganon himself. Most people who go out and look at this see just how incredibly out of place FSA is on the "official" timeline and is one of the biggest discrediting factors of it, showing how haphazardly thrown together it was. Because the rest of the placements except that one were already well accepted prior. If the "Downfall Timeline" was just all set after FSA in the Child Timeline, it wouldn't look anywhere near as out of place.
Another thing is? 0:44 In the opening shot of Zelda looking at the Horizon at the plateau, it looks like she's *unfamiliar* with the world at first? We all know the trope of standing on a plateau and the hero being "introduced" to a new world that he or she may be not aware of. What if this "rift" sends Zelda to a *brand new Hyrule* she is not familiar with? After all, she is still wearing her cloak in Hyrule Field too 1:09? Could it be that the "rift" caused a merger between timelines? And this explains why we see *2 Zoras arguing* over the same land? Despite the Sea Zoras living in Labrynna? What if this explains why the world of BoTW and ToTK features references and locations to all timelines. What if THIS IS THE EVENT that causes the worlds/realities to collide? Also there is a *Snowy Mountain* to the right where Death Mountain should be? And a *Volcano* that looks just like Eldin Volcano to the left? And Hyrule Castle is in the middle of the Kingdom in between these mountain ranges? I believe some merging is happening that even alters the geography!
The mountain to the right is very reminiscent of the layout of Death Mountain from ALttP and ALBW, which was actually called Hebra in the Japanese version of the game. I assume this game is going to retcon those games with that mountain being called Hebra while the mountain with the volcano will be Death Mountain. Also Hyurle Castle is pretty much in the same location as ALttP, only difference is that this iteration also features a Castle Town.
That being said, you could be right about Zelda showing up in a different iteration of Hyrule. It is interesting that Zelda is in jail when she meets Tri. Why exactly would the guards imprison their own princess? Very interesting.
@@davisbowe8668 Retcon? or *Reality altering....* 🤔😏 Don't be surprise if you see Ritos in this game because already we know the Great Deku Tree is there and the *Master Sword chamber* is also there with it 8:04, just without a pedestal 🗡
@@davisbowe8668 Yeah this Hyrule is giving me Hyrule Warriors kinds of vibes. With Hyrule *changing its landscape* from the different eras to incorporate the version that we see in that game! Hebra Mountain was volcanic during the events of ALttP & ALBW. And even in FSA, there was a location called *Hebra Hills* located at Death Mountain in that game. I believe something happened to Hyrule, and now we have 2 Death Mountains! The Volcano and the Mountain Range (Hebra). Hebra from ALttP & ALBW possibly became frozen, which explains why in BoTW and ToTK *Hebra Mountain* is a Snowy Mountainous region. ❄🌨🌨
Yea, plus the enemy in the beach scene is very much exactly like the spinner in Twilight Princess…for some reason, I have a feeling this game is gonna be the final piece that connects all the timelines to BOTW…or at least the Downfall timeline
@@midnashadow8439 The cloak in the beginning, plus Ganon being alive and active, Zelda escaping some kind of dungeon to end up at a lakeside plateau looking at the Horizon screams that this game is some kind of new version of Hyrule that looks "familiar" but never seen before. It would be shocking to see if this game is in fact a Sequel to ToTK because of that cloak bearing the *exact match* to the cloak Link and Zelda wore at the beginning of ToTK. And the fact that ToTK's beginning also features them encountering Ganon. At this rate? We can place *Echoes of Wisdom* either... 1) After Oracles of Ages & Seasons but before ALBW. 2) after ALBW & Triforce Heroes but before Zelda 1. 3) after Zelda II, but before ToTK's backstory. 4) or after ToTK in general! There are *many placements* to this game it can go based on what we see? But I cannot wait to see the mysteries Aonuma has for us here. 😁
I was always opposed to a playable Zelda but looking at how they're doing it for this game, i like it. They've changed the gameplay enough that it's not just reskinning link as zelda, she's going to have a different playstyle and her own personality through gameplay. i hope she has more personality in the story though because zelda being a blank character like link just wont feel right
I love this so much! Playable Zelda? Hell yeah! Classic lore that feels new and interesting? Double hell yeah! Adorable packaging? H-E-double-hockey-sticks to the triple yeah! This wasn't on anyone's bingo card but I'm here for it!
i cant wait to spend hours collecting all of those objects only to use maybe 20 of them 😂 the completionist in me is like wooooooooo shit to do and the gamer in me is screaming NOT MORE GRINDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tri sometimes has and extra triangle floating behind them. So that seems to be what we will upgrade. And its obviously connected to the echoes. Every time you use an enemy echo the triangles go away
I'm so hyped for Echoes of Wisdom!!! Playing as Zelda is incredible!! I also love the aesthetic of it being from Link's Awakening, the art style is adorable. One thing that stood out to me too was the fact that they said each playthrough will be different based off of what the player has Zelda copy with the Trirod, its gonna be so fun messing around with the mechanic. The story looks fantastic too!
Thank you! It's so good to see people hyped for this game. I did say shortly before the direct I thought we were going to get a classic style Zelda game rather than a 3D large scale one because Nintendo are typically quite savvy at not over saturating their library with too many remasters (especially when they could hold high value for later releases) and it had been a while since we saw a top-down game. I never expected them to make one dedicated and focused on Zelda though, that is so awesome and I can't wait to see what kind of gameplay these games have to offer.
I just want to point out... You mentioned "This ganon is only in the Downfall Timeline", but the Ganon art you show immediately after is from Four Sword Adventures, which occurs on the Child Timeline. That version of Ganon has shown up in both of those timelines. How do I think this will fit into the timeline? I want to think that it will probably either be after FSA or be a merger, just like BotW and TotK appear to be. But, let's be honest, the Zelda team has made it clear that "we make the game first, then think about its timeline placement." It's entirely possible that even they don't know when this would occur, and once it comes out, they'll just pick something once people beg enough. Even TotK didn't keep to what BotW established, and that was literally a sequel to BotW. I just have no hope for the Zelda team to keep trying to stick to the timeline, and... I hate to say this... but that might be for the better. They accidentally created a timeline back in the ALttP/OoT days, and it's been a pain for them ever since. If they think they can make better games without needing to adhere to a timeline, I say let them do so. Not like we expect Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Star Fox, or any of their other series to adhere to a timeline... right...? -looks at all the "Mario timeline" "Metroid timeline" "Star fox timeline" etc videos-
For me the timeline placement is either in the downfall timeline at the end or in between alttp and awakening, either at the end of the downfall before the theorized convergence of timeline, either it's after totk in the theorized demise timeline with events happening parallel to the alttp era, or either it's in between oot and alttp and it would explained how the dark world and lorule were created with the void eating hyrule. If it's the case then this event might have happened in the child timeline too creating the twilight world there.
While I am sick of Timeline debates, I hate the idea of a merged Timeline because it makes no sense. I would honestly be okay if they just made a new timeline separate from the rest and just said they are all on this. I like Zelda lore but I wish Nintendo cared as much as fans did.
The Myth of Link: Echoes of Wisdom looks like it'll be a fun game. Different from a 'regular' Zelda game, more puzzle focused seems like, which fits with her Wisdom Tri Force piece.
Finally a Zelda game where you not only play as the famous princess, but can now sleep wherever you want, for free, because you get the ghost of a bed to place wherever you need a few minutes of rest. Amazing!
So happy to see our princess getting her own game, also this new kind of gameplay makes 2d zeldas fresh and new. Love to solve riddles and traun my brain with this. The hype is real.
Going to be honest bud, I don't think they'll have the balls to acknowledge the divergent timeline in any of these games but it would be cool since Wild seems to suggest a unified timeline.
The more i think about it i thought that this game was set between a link to the past and the oracle games, but the more i think about it the more i am not quite sure of. From the deku tree being alive, to the gerudo being there and the windmill from ocarina of time, i think that this game is either the events of ocarina of time or it take place before the event of ocarina of time but after four swords. And that would explain why the deku tree is alive and why the master sword ain't there. But i also thought that its in the adult timeline because that timeline is about the trifocre of wisdom. Like the child timeline is the triforce of courage and the downfall is the triforce of power.
I feel kind of dissapointed. This doesn't feel like a 'Main Zelda game' but just like a side creative mini game. I can't find the right word. But comparable to Link's Crossbow training/Hyrule Warriors if you know what i mean. Not a big main story game. We can finally play as Zelda and instead of making her strong and fight (to show everyone that girls/woman can be good at fighting too), it looks like the focus is on young kids being creative. I'd personelly much rather have the TP/WW HD remake than this not 'main storygame'
I feel we are in the LbWs or spirit tracks timeline. Either way, I feel this is before BotW. And the map will hopefully shed some light on the matter. I also noticed Zonai Swirls on the cloak. Interesting and the relation to the Twilight game is Definitely here. Either way glad to see Zelda gets another chance after so many years at a Main Title. My daughter is super excited and we are probably seeing the new Zelda for the updated Smash when it releases.
Also, the parallels between the floating obelisks and stationary plateaus in Twilight princess. Versus the floating broken decayed empty space. Can't wait to discover the games fun and the new theories that will arise.
If this is indeed the gap between dimensions it would make sense to have aspects from different timelines in it as it would be connected to all timelines like a community trash can for all timelines. What if it was actually inside it?
Somewhat related as this game uses the Link's Awakening remake artstyle: Did you know there was a playable demo of Link's Awakening at the Comsumer Electronics Show in January of 1993? The only footage I know of has been put on the games Prerelease page on The Cutting Room Floor recently. I've been trying to find more footage, but I've had zero luck.
I'm very excited for a new game in this style! I loved the Link's Awakening remake and was really craving some remakes of the Oracle games but this? this might be even better! really interested in the lore implications and I'll be tuning in to hear your thoughts on it from here until release :)!
You know what I want to see in this game? I want to see Zelda fight a possessed Link or even Dark Link at some point in the game. I am kind of hoping that that is what the cover is hinting at with Link being in the same shades in the background with Gannon.
This is the land of Hyrule, the one from BotW/TotK. Was thinking about old and new Hyrule and yeah, there’s probably more in here somewhere to look into other theorist it seems some may have gloss over I wanna see myself.
I honestly thought this was just a link between worlds coming to switch which I would have been fine with since I’ve never played a DS but an all original story using the basic assets of the 2d remake style is great. They could make several new as well as remaster games in this style and I wouldn’t be sad. I’d enjoy if in the next 5 years we got a link to the past, link between worlds, oracle ages and seasons, phantom hourglass, and spirit tracks all in this style. A separate thought is this could have been a 2d remake of a 3d game like ocarina of time but as the chibi art style
Game looks good, I'm so glad it's not a remake, as I'm tired of seeing the same game which was already released 3 times. The pixel one just showed is from the Child Timeline 1:44
Mhmm... that was the first thing I saw when I notice the layout of *Hyrule Castle* here! Even the Castle itself doesn't look like the one from ALBW nor ALttP. It looks like a *fusion* of Hyrule Castle from TMC and BoTW/ToTK Castle put together! 🤭
At the title screen shown @0:32 I can see a reference to the Wind Fish in the top right of the picture. Look closely with the snowy mountain (Hebra) in the background. Can you see it, too?
I can't be happier that the first playable zelda game is in easily my most favorite style of zelda game (link's awakening remake is an easy 3rd fave sry twilight princess) my guess is this will be in the "inevitable convergence" timeline, just not as far down as botw
We do have what appears to be Hebra (LTTP Light World Death Mountain in Japan was actually called Hebra; it was only outside of Japan where both the Light and Dark World Mountains were called Death Mountain), and there's at least 5 different settlements we have confirmation of in-game so far. We have Castle Town, Kakariko, Gerudo Town, a water-based settlement in a jungle, and probably a Zora settlement as well (where the two Zora factions are fighting; the swamp settlement could belong to one of the tribes, or a different group entirely). We also see a Business Scrub (but I think its outside Kakariko Village) and the Great Deku Tree. With both a snowy mountain and volcanic mountain, one could have Rito and the other has Gorons. A forest settlement could reside outside the Great Deku Tree's grove, but this grove does more highly resemble OOT/LTTP. OOT because its isolated from any proper settlement, but LTTP because of both that isolation and the fact that there's some sort of pedestal here. If we do have a forest settlement here I think its probably either Kokiri or Deku Scrubs (though Deku Scrubs have never been associated with the Great Deku Tree in any context except the non-canon Cadence of Hyrule) as this forest doesn't have the structure of any Korok Forest we've ever seen (Koroks always live in the immediate vicinity around the Great Deku Tree, and we see nothing like that here). Tri-Force Heroes does also have "Kokiri Clothes" as an outfit option, indicating that the Kokiri may still exist near the time period of Link Between worlds. My guess is that the swamp settlement might actually be for the "River Zora" while the "Sea Zora" will have a traditional Zora's Domain. Its hard to say if Deku Scrubs get their own location here; they've only had their own home in Majora's Mask, otherwise they usually just appear all over, with the flower pods individually being their homes. (The Lost Woods in general is their home in FSA, but they largely only appear in the Lost Woods in FSA.)
HUGE LORES! Lots of explanation, too! Hyrule Mountain range is different. We have Snow Mountains to the East instead of Death Mountain being there. A Volcano section that is to the West! Deku Scrubs River Zoras and Sea Zoras together arguing about who should govern, whom? The Great Deku Tree with the Master Sword Chamber around him, without the pedestal 🗡 A Fairy named "Tri" which has 3 triangles on it's head i.e. huge implicator of Tri coming from the TriFORCE or IS the Triforce! It has an ability to alter reality by replicating ANY PHYSICAL THING to recreate them to the world. It even gives LIFE to them too! And ofcourse the mysterious Dark Dimension that we see at 5:40!
I like the lore and the timeline and if Nintendo didn't want fans to care, they shouldn't have released books that give an official timeline. I wish Nintendo would decide if they care or if they don't. Just give an answer. If they don't, great, stop releasing an updated timeline in new books. If they do care, put some time in addressing it. I just hate that Nintendo seems to want to make everyone happy and as a result makes nobody happy.
There is no timeline, Nintendo has shown time and time again that they don't care about the timeline they just make fun Zelda games. Thank you for coming to my hot take ted talk.
I'm all good with a puzzle based game but a part of me hopes the game isnt basically a puzzle game. Only cause I know for a lot of fans, myself included, the draw of a Zelda playable Zelda game is being able to show how much of a "badass" she can be as well.

In Spanish that is funny because we call a jail cell as "celda", so Zelda is in a celda (both pronounced like "thelda" in spanish Spanish)
Gel sale, lmao
There is also a purple barrier in the Ganon fight which could mean you can play as Link.
Zeltik did an analysis video that points out how Tri has triangles floating above his/her head. These decrease by the amount of triangles on the echo pictures as you cast them. Tri must be upgradable to progress the story.
Did anyone else get the feeling that during the ganon fight at the beginning we will play as link? It looked like gameplay and not a cutscene
Since Link has that purple glow in in the shot where he's next to Ganon, I wonder if Ganon will possess Link this time instead of Zelda. Now you know how it feels, Link!
Am I crazy or does the bow Link used to break the crystal looks a lot like the construct bow from TOTK?
IT IS THE *ZONAITE BOW!* You're not going crazy, that's identical to the Zonaite Bow.
And I tell you what else? The cloak Link wears, is the same one from ToTK! 🧥
@@Zeldatheoristb211 Glad I wasn’t the only one that found similarities
@@Zeldatheoristb211 It's not the zonaite bow, it's just a color similarity. I'm guessing it's some kind of a steel bow, same color as the Master Sword, Hell maybe it's the Hero's Bow since the Master Sword seems to be similar in color.
It's not zonaite though. This is apparently a sequel to Link's Awakening, and the BoTW Timeline doesn't start until well after the end of all the other timelines.
@@megaman37456 it is unknown what timeline this game falls into, therefore it is also unknown whether this game is a sequel or not.
notice how tge zora architecture is the same as in totk‘s water temple
can't wait for this game! definitely was not expecting this from the direct but VERY pleasantly surprised :)
such a pleasant surprise!
Absolutely! And that it's coming out this year!!! Its incredible I can't wait :D
@@Zeldatheoristb211 yeah i feel like FSA doesn't really fit in the child timeline
but i also think hyrule gamer might have just had an oversight because this is the best sprite for ganon
@@Zeldatheoristb211 Sephiroth Did Talk About That In FFVII Rebirth Where In That Game Theres A HUGE Crack In The Sky
I wonder if this would be the game where the timelines converge? Would be a fun twist, we'll have to see
They already did with BoTW right? That and TotK are the end of the timeline where the three converge.
I think it's funny
when you show beast ganon It's the design from zelda four swords adventures the only game he's in not in the downfall timeline😊
If the "Downfall Timeline" was just all set after FSA in the Child Timeline, it wouldn't look anywhere near as out of place.
it's official but what you said would make more sense and That's why we need a new timeline
Another thing is?
0:44
In the opening shot of Zelda looking at the Horizon at the plateau, it looks like she's *unfamiliar* with the world at first?
@@davisbowe8668 Retcon? or *Reality altering....* 🤔😏
Don't be surprise if you see Ritos in this game because already we know the Great Deku Tree is there and the *Master Sword chamber* is also there with it 8:04, just without a pedestal 🗡
2:31 That's a *ZONAITE BOW!!!*
The design, color, and shape of it is exactly like the Zonaite Bow!
Look it up, and compare it?
I could see it! I definitely got that vibe too when watching the trailer
I was always opposed to a playable Zelda but looking at how they're doing it for this game, i like it. They've changed the gameplay enough that it's not just reskinning link as zelda, she's going to have a different playstyle and her own personality through gameplay. i hope she has more personality in the story though because zelda being a blank character like link just wont feel right
I missed watching your channel. I've been here since forever and now it was a good moment to be back! Amazing video, HG.
I love this so much! Playable Zelda? Hell yeah! Classic lore that feels new and interesting? Double hell yeah! Adorable packaging? H-E-double-hockey-sticks to the triple yeah! This wasn't on anyone's bingo card but I'm here for it!
I'm so here for it!
i cant wait to spend hours collecting all of those objects only to use maybe 20 of them 😂 the completionist in me is like wooooooooo shit to do and the gamer in me is screaming NOT MORE GRINDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm hoping we get some building aspects like Minecraft/Dragon Quest Builders.
Such exciting news! Great video! & Thanks for the feature!
Im here, early as ever. AND WHAT!??? A NEW GAME ALREADY YAYYY 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Very excited! Great showcase all around, really. This AND a new Mario and Luigi game. Geez, Nintendo. 2017 all over again
now Link is a damsel in distress lol
The song is the key. Remember where it needed to be played backwards from one trailer, or speed up in breath of the wild. It’s in the song.
Not like we expect Mario, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Star Fox, or any of their other series to adhere to a timeline... right...? -looks at all the "Mario timeline" "Metroid timeline" "Star fox timeline" etc videos-
oh absolutely if they can't figure out where to put thier own zelda game in the timeline don't bother at this point
Considering the great Deku tree is in the game I'm wondering if we'll see Koroks again or if it'll be Kokiri 🤔
For me the timeline placement is either in the downfall timeline at the end or in between alttp and awakening,
either at the end of the downfall before the theorized convergence of timeline,
either it's after totk in the theorized demise timeline with events happening parallel to the alttp era,
or either it's in between oot and alttp and it would explained how the dark world and lorule were created with the void eating hyrule. If it's the case then this event might have happened in the child timeline too creating the twilight world there.
I hope they do decide to go with more of a merged timeline approach going forward. I am absolutely sick of the timeline debates lol
Amazing!
Why is it that no one has yet mentioned how Link's bow looks a LOT like a Strong Construct Bow from TotK?
True that
could be a prototype to it
So happy to see our princess getting her own game, also this new kind of gameplay makes 2d zeldas fresh and new. Love to solve riddles and traun my brain with this. The hype is real.
My belief / hope for this new title is the merging title of the 3 timeline split leading to the Wilds Era.
I’m hype can’t wait
First we had Princess Peach saving Mario and Luigi, now we finally got Zelda saving Link and all of Hyrule. I can’t wait to get this game!🤩
What if this game is at the end of the downfall timeline and the rifts actually cause the merging of the timelines leading into the wild era?
I think based on zelda trapped in a crystal, this picks up at the end of link to the past as a sort of alternate timeline from that ending
Yes ooh my god! Finally someone agrees with me about the timeline placement.😁
Could this be the game that connects the timelines though?
The map also seems to resemble botw
Mhmm... that was the first thing I saw when I notice the layout of *Hyrule Castle* here!
Even the Castle itself doesn't look like the one from ALBW nor ALttP.
It looks like a *fusion* of Hyrule Castle from TMC and BoTW/ToTK Castle put together! 🤭
I am hyped.
Zelda fans we are feasting!
I wasn’t expecting a new Zelda already but I’m all for it
It think it'll be a 2d version of Totk. Open world, open solutions. Aonuma said that's the new way and we aren't going back to the old.
At the title screen shown @0:32 I can see a reference to the Wind Fish in the top right of the picture. Look closely with the snowy mountain (Hebra) in the background. Can you see it, too?
Link usually gets to go on 2 adventures. I hope zelda gets another game where she also leaves hyrule
So excited! Can’t wait for the music!!! The world!! The Zelda! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I can't be happier that the first playable zelda game is in easily my most favorite style of zelda game (link's awakening remake is an easy 3rd fave sry twilight princess) my guess is this will be in the "inevitable convergence" timeline, just not as far down as botw
I really hope the Ritos are here, since they are my favorite clan since Botw.
Gonna be honest, i was hoping for a master mode for TotK or TP remake but this looks like it's gonna be really fun.
I did ask Nintendo where the cats were in Hyrule, and there they are in EoW!
Now let me pet them, too!!
Yeah this game came out of absolutely nowhere, hoping it's a fun game
Me too!
If I could like this video 1000000 times, I would. You said what I thought exactly

It's called a Tri Rod because Wand of Gamelon was taken.
I really hope this has some deep lore implications.
I'd love to play as shiek for a bit.
HUGE LORES!
Lots of explanation, too!
Hyrule Mountain range is different.
We have Snow Mountains to the East instead of Death Mountain being there.
A Volcano section that is to the West!

River Zoras and Sea Zoras together arguing about who should govern, whom?
The Great Deku Tree with the Master Sword Chamber around him, without the pedestal 🗡
A Fairy named "Tri" which has 3 triangles on it's head i.e. huge implicator of Tri coming from the TriFORCE or IS the Triforce! It has an ability to alter reality by replicating ANY PHYSICAL THING to recreate them to the world. It even gives LIFE to them too!
And ofcourse the mysterious Dark Dimension that we see at 5:40!
Shiek is exclusive to Ocarina of Time and doesn't exist outside of OoT canonically.
enjoyed this video and can't wait for this new Zelda game 😁
Can we please give the timeline nonsense a rest ???
agreed!!!
Never
I wknder if this will pave the pathway for playable zelda in their "major" games for the loz series. Im so excited!!!
It won't. This is clearly a spinoff.
Can't wait for this little gem. 😊
standing on a cliff and look at the overworld should be in every zelda game now
There is no timeline, Nintendo has shown time and time again that they don't care about the timeline they just make fun Zelda games.

I have high hopes for this game.i just want dungeons and music, and puzzle solving and treasures. Is that too much too ask for?
Nintendo did, at one point, express a desire for their princess's to compete with disney princesses, I think I saw somewhere
