I have seen them a couple times and they are incredible! We are seeing them again in May and I am so excited already! I have sold all of my friends on them... great band!!!
I treasure this cover - Post Malone's Circles was one of my best mate's funeral songs (It was the last song he liked on Spotify). This just hits so differently.
Do you want to know why? Some of the songs he plays are written on accoustic guitar in other genres! I know a guy who writes songs for him and other people- and they often are rock songs at first. Allergic is probably the closest song he has that sounds almost exactly how it was written as it's sort of the same tempo and feel and everything
Ragnar has a lot of great moments and songs where he is lead vocals a few more to check out that are amazing songs would be Your Bones off the first album and then also under a dome off fever dream is also a great one that I feel kinda gets over looked but every song they put out has been amazing in my opinion so I’m bias :)
OMAM is an experience. Any fan should see them at least once. My wife and I flew to Denver from Atlanta to see them. They are really good live. And in many venues you can get really close to the stage.
Showcases Post Malone's songwriting ability, somewhat surprisingly. I did like a lot of Hollywood's Bleeding, this song included, but this showcases a simplistic emotional quality to the melody and lyrics of the song that too many would go against on the basis of high gloss production with trap influences
@@ninjamaddie I can't see Parker having anything to do with this track. He's not listed in personel on wiki nor is he listed on Genius as having any involvement. Am I missing something? edit: turns out Parker had nothing to do with the track it was just a rumour spread by some journo websites.
This band impresses more and more with each time I hear them do anything. I can relisten to a song I have heard 10-15 times and I'm impressed again but for yet another little layer of IT being exposed to me. Of Monsters and Men being revealed to me, ha right. The only thing revealed is the fact I am a true fan As far as me getting to know more who this band is deep inside, I believe I am often left more confused then I was. But I promise also that much more committed to them and their IT . . .
@@justaskinbag yeah, it's the name of the segment on their radio show. So the guest will do a version or cover of someone else's song and then one of their own song
I never really listened to a song that sang about a situation I can connect to till I found this one. It’s sad, but I’m also relieved I’m not the only one who has experienced the kind of feeling that this song portrays.
I'm so happy that they decided to record it on studio and released this as a single. I have listened to it everyday when it came out, now I still listen to it at least once a week. So good. PS: triple j if you promise me one more Of Monsters and Men cover I'll have a subscribe campaign arranged on your behalf
this band is so freaking awesome! so glad they came to detroit many years ago and brought the full band with the horns! this version is incredible lofi feel
One of the coolest covers I ever heard! I didnt know what the song was so I searched it and whoa, its so different and im digging this cover than the original 🥰
We need a proper OMAM tour so bad! I had tickets to see them for the first time before the world closed down 4 years ago and am still waiting for that day to come!
Like a Version has been going weekly since 2005 on the Australian radio station JJJ. "The idea of Like A Version is pretty simple. We invite a musician or band into our studios, tell them to bring their instruments along, stick microphones in front of them and ask them to play one of their own compositions as well as a song they love by someone else." - they are also interviewed. Local talent, as well as visiting Internationals are invited. And there are some amazing 're-imaginings' and covers from this show.
🍻💙
cheers to you posty 🍻
ily posty❤️

Posty youre breathtaking
Posty love u sooooo sooooo much. Keep rocking stage my man!!❤️
OMAM does not get enough recognition for how amazing they are.
Facts. I've seen them live three times and hopefully will many more times.
@@TheCrazyCloon twice myself, both times they looked like they were having a great time on stage.
I have seen them a couple times and they are incredible! We are seeing them again in May and I am so excited already! I have sold all of my friends on them... great band!!!
Their bank account disagrees.
I'm about to see them for the first time in May 😁
I treasure this cover - Post Malone's Circles was one of my best mate's funeral songs (It was the last song he liked on Spotify). This just hits so differently.

Losing a best friend had easily been one of the hardest things to deal with I'm sorry for your pain this was an awesome cover for sure
❤️❤️
Sending thoughts and prayers your way, I’m so sorry for your loss 😔
Wow 💔 I'm so sorry for your loss.
They manage to make it genuinely sound like one of their own...
You’re right, their cover is so awesome. There is little sadness with in but also a happy good feeling.
Frankly, any Posty song can be adapted into any different genre. This one works terrifically.
and they all sound the same so you could use this version for all of them too!
Heard a mashup of Jimmy eat worlds "the middle" and "sunflower" and it was pretty rad.
Vampire Weekend doing HIS sunflower is spectacular

I Fall Apart In Ohio mashup with Hawthorne Heights gives me strength
Ragnar þórhallsson never gets enough credit. His voice is so soothing. I love the parts of the song where he gets to sing unaccompanied.
He is so good thats why I like "stuck in gravity" he is lead and its just amazing. I think he leads in "Empire" as well.

Those male vocals are dope as f***. Love this band and I love this version. Well played.
Nanna’s voice is unbelievably controlled at the beginning. How lovely

The song feels so different presented like this, it really suits the ballad format. Love it!

Cian Grant spot on. songwriting.
Kevin Parker’s (Tame Impala) involvement with the track has a lot to do with that I reckon.
💯
@@ninjamaddie I think that may be a myth despite how similar Circles is to Tame Impala stylistically.

this sounds like the song that plays at the end of a coming of age movie
loooool
i got the exact same vibe man.

YEEEEESS its overdue honestly

They in fact do.

The moment Nanna hit the first words of the song, i swear i had chills... this version just makes me wanna melt away into the unknown. so beautiful 😭
I don't think I have played a "Like a Version" this many times since Meg Mac covered " Let It Happen". This is brilliant.
The number of times I replay this in a day is unforgivable
I'm absolutely floored how much this song is elevated by this performance. Makes me love OMAM that much more!
They dont know how clean and great their cover sounds!!!! Incredible sound!!!! On repeat!!!
This is what covers are all about! Brilliant 👌🏼
Of Monsters and Men are one of my biggest inspirations for music. I love everything they do!
this sounds so cool, like a movie trailer or something especially in the beginning

Nanna is looking more and more like Bjork, that's crazy.
crazy nice, i guess lol
I clicked the video because of this and was rewarded
Beautiful.

Agreed very nice and beautiful.
When is this gonna be on spotify?
Never. Still waiting for Nothing But Thieve's masterful cover of When The Fire Goes Out, or Chvrches's cover of LOVE. by Kendrick Lamar :(
I wouldn’t say never. I’d say probably in a month or so.
Usually a week from when it gets put on here so Friday, just depends on the licensing
Video to mp3

Sweet harmonic sound and harmony...and that Bass resonates to perfection.

Of monsters and men is one of the most underrated bands ever and circles is a great song choice for them
Love their tone and voice... only they can sing like this.

I think dancing in the dark was their best remake.
