Nah he's beyond k-pop. BTS went beyond the K-pop standard a long time ago. No one can say otherwise. It's right infront of everyone's eyes. BTS have proven it as a group and individually.

I was there in person. And let me tell you DT it was completely insane. So much fun. The crowd’s energy was all in it. And so was Hobi’s. Thousands of army singing his Korean lyrics. It was an experience to last a lifetime.

I'm so proud him!! He shows his individual talents successfully and also excellently represents which level BTS is getting now to the people who just look down them as a "poppy boy band hyped with only cute looking"!!!! His stage presence, charisma, swag, flow and passion are out of this world. The performance was perfect from the beginning to the ending. What an amazing all round player!!!!! I honestly feel like BTS is a true talented supergroup. I believe each of them will kill it with their solo work. They have been honing their craft for 8/9/10 years now. Hobi is a freaking beast on that stage he funked up that whole stage. Hadn't seen anything like it in years. The crowd was like 100 thousand hype men for him. We are in for some golden albums from all them.
He left his heart and soul on that stage... you can tell he genuinely loves to perform.
Best night of my life. I'm still recovering from all the screaming and standing for 11 hours squished between 100,000 people in 90-degree weather. I would only attend Lollapalooza for our boys. No other artists can get me to go back. Hope's show was phenomenal! The man murdered the stage and broke multiple records doing so. 💜
He did tell us we were going to see the real inner JHope persona. He commands the stage.
He got me speechless&goosebumps when he sang baseline-cypher1-hangsang, OMG he’s standing alone, showing his best, he is truly SUPERSTAR!! JDoooooopeeee!!! 😭😭

Hobi is not only our hope, but he’s our gift. What an incredible talented force he’s become. I couldn’t be more proud of him. Those of us who have had him as our bias knew what he was capable of, but now, we’re happy others have taken the opportunity to see just how gifted he is.
His set, as expected, was so well planned. Like the voice warned in the beginning, out of Pandora's box first came anger, despair, etc. J-hope pops out in tattered black clothes, spitting raging verses. He included songs from Hope World, that took a whole new meaning without the bright and cheerful colors. Like he was saying, "You guys weren't paying attention. This ME has always been there." Then, after the break, out pops out HOPE as promised, bright colors, dancing. The man is a genius and a consumate performer. I sure hope -pun intended- that the American snobby industry took note. These guys are much, much more than a "boy band". Each one of them has more talent in their little finger than most the 💩 coming out of LA. Take note Grammys self-serving circle. These guys know who they are, and are out to prove it.

This was the best concert ever. It was on my birthday. This was the best gift ever. He has been my bias since 2018.

Just for reference LA PTD was 70,000. Lollapalooza on Sunday night had over 100,000... I was at both and let me tell you the energy was the same. the same amount if not more people saw J-hope in Chicago. It was such a beautiful moment during Daydream, when we screamed "wild and Free" and his face the only time he really "broke face". That look of love and acceptance.
Yes! I have rewatched Daydream over and over just to see his face. It so heartwarming that hearing us sing his song made him actually break stage face :3

I am Hobi biased with 6 bias wreckers. I sat and watched this with tears of joy running down my face. The guys are run down by critics so much and Hobi came out with all guns blazing! He killed them all. I am so proud of him, I can't even put it into words.
He does look as if the stress and worry has made him lose weight though. We know how much he puts into his work and hope he can relax now.

I can’t stress enough how proud I am of Hobi. He literally did an amazing job of holding his own concert, and I wish I could have made it. I’m happy that he did this because it showed how much of his own following he had and the number of people that came to see him shine. Army came and showed out like I knew they would,💜and Hobi did his thing, and that's all I've got to say. Oh, and don't worry DT, we'll make it to the next concert that comes up.😂

I stood towards the back. I had my ARMY bomb but I knew I wouldn’t want to be squished or boxed in. Couldn’t really here all the crowd sounds but him, yup I heard Hobi. His presence traveled and filled the space.
Imagine him being nomineted for an US award for Jack in the box and they put him in a "K-Pop"-category. I'm gonna be soo mad. I love K-pop! But this album should be treated like any other hip-hop/rap artists out there!

I agree with a lot of your comments. He's set the bar so high and all the other members are better for it - although if I were any of them, I'd be happy and proud of Hobi but also really stressed for my own album & possible performance 🤣 He's the best performer I've ever seen. The way he is so genuine about his music and the lyrics/meaning/messages is really moving even if you don't understand his lyrics word for word. You're right, just the way he moves even when he's not dancing is so emotional. And yeah this is not Kpop 🤩 He's the genre.
Then you add his secret weapon... his dance ability, and there's no one like him in his generation.
He would be amazing on a world tour. I really wish for worldwide fans to see him live. He has a huge Latin American fanbase. He could perform at the North Pole and people would go to see him 💙

I lost it when Becky G came out! She is a great match for j-hope's talent & energy. I know all her lyrics to CNS by heart also and was shouting them 🤣 So fun. When he said "Shout out to DJ Webstar and Young B for the track" made me tear up. He really is such an admirable person. Becky's speech was really sweet too 🥲
I really love both his albums. I listen to them all the time and then always sound fresh to me somehow.

DT the fancams are all crazYYY! fyi the crowds' cheers and chants are all better there, the energy is hella fire! especially armys when they heard Baseline - Hangsang, they were like screaming "BITJ FINALLYYYY WE GOT TO HEAR THIS LIVE" they were shocked and their screams were totally histerical, but then they sang the song along right away on top of their lungsss🔥🔥

Chicago is a beautiful city in summer! I went there a couple of times to watch the Cubs (vs Giants) play at historic Wrigley Field! ⚾️ I was always impressed with the gorgeous skyscrapers & the river flowing through downtown Chicago! This setting at Grant Park is so beautiful, with the skyscrapers in the background!! I’m so happy for Hobi!! 👏🏼We knew he’d kill it!! 🙌🏼 DT, thanks for posting this on RUclips also, since I don’t have Patreon. Really wanted to see your reaction!!👍🏼👏🏼🙌🏼💜🫶🏼
All of this, and there was a problem with the headphones throughout the performance, and this is from the words of a person who works at the festival. He is seriously professional and works very well for himself.
I agree. He has so much to show and he's outstanding on stage. He just owns it. There are very few artists in the world who can put on a show like j-hope. It's so impressive. I'm so grateful I got to see it in person.

I think Jimin was quoted as saying he could never have done this, I believe he is 100% correct. Actually, maybe Suga could pull something like this off. The others, maybe not so much.

It was great watching #Hobipalooa with you since I've been watching it in full - daily - ever since leaving Chicago. I really hope he performs again soon, but I'm concerned that the concert in Busan in October (like he mentioned in the NME interview) is going to take up his time. He's so talented. I hope BH makes an nicely edited DVD that shows his face more up close and picks better camera angles. ARMY - ask BH for it!

I WILL SAY I WAS THERE, I WANTED YOUR REACTION VIDEO TO BE POSTED FIRST. Because when someone tells you something is great or was great it takes the suspense out of it. But yes I was there and it was an honor to be there for HOBI'S first solo performance of his solo album/career. I did have a guy tell he had never heard of J-HOPE or BTS but he now has his favorite artist of 2022 LOLLIPALOOZA , and i told him to check out other music by J_HOPE knowing it would lead him to BTS and other members solo mixtapes. AND OMG, Chicken Noodle Soup freaking rocked when HOBI and Becky G got to do their song together for the first time together. I dropped my phone several times cheering and ok i may or may not have been doing the dance.
ARMY was awesome as always I know that made J-Hope a bit nervous but comfortable . Yes, JIMIN was there . if standing on stage you turn your head to the right look up in the dark area you will see him , VIP section for certain people. Poor HOBI had a hurting neck the next morning from headbanging but he enjoyed every second of it as he always does .
But in all so so proud of the great and amazing job HOBI had done.
And as we know JIMIN was there but Suga was watching the live stream . We all knew the were all watching , And one never knows some may have been there without everyone knowing.
But you know they are all proud of J-Hope as Army is as well.

Base line and Hangsang has me addicted. Wow wow wow! This performance were fire from start to the end, not a single miss! But those 2 songs was just something extra for me (baseline has always been a fav of mine)
