      It varies on the ability of the athlete and exercises you are using. I have had success with as young as 6 years old but we mainly focus on stability exercises and learning the movement patterns. We use no resistance or the lowest resistance for everything when we first start. Once they are around 9 years old some of them can actually do the same stuff as some of the 12 year olds, but that is a case by case basis. Most 9 year olds can not do that. Typically by 10 years old they are all good to start doing all the exercises and even use medium resistance for a few of them.
