oh my GOD i'm glad to see someone say what i'm thinking instead of yapping about rb being a supposed "industry standard". if this software is an industry standard that is a damn sad industry
One thing I don’t like about this new. Upgrade is that there are settings in record box that don’t even work with most controllers or cdjs there is no plug and play existing functions
Thank god that the problem is universal, i also thought that i forcefully have accepted a subscription 😮❤ I also wait for when they release sync for songs that change their BPM. Literally the free djay on phone already has that feature
VDJ is really underrated. Supoorts a bunch from the oldest to new controlelrs. Need to use the most obscure one that VDJ does not support? Yes you'll have to spend hours trying to understand their inexistant documentation, but it's doable.
It's meant library organisation (analyze music, create playlists, set cue points etc). When done: put your music on a usb to use on pioneer equipment in clubs. The performance mode came years later: perform your DJ gig with a controller (without exporting to usb) A lot of things you can do in the export mode, you can now also do in the performance mode. I agree, It has become a bit confusing since they their functions overlap for 85%
@@deejayplaza ye besides when I'm exporting onto a USB, I don't understand what export mode is for. Does anyone actually mix in this mode? And if so... why?
@@emcdaveeBruv sorry to get kinda rude about it but is it possible you're deaf AND blind?? He literally just answered your question one comment above 😂
The greed from the software industry is out of control. It's like you want to buy a house but everyone will only rent to you. You rent the house and find out you can't use the toilet unless you pay an extra fee.
@@hearmenow909 That's not a problem. If you know how to use a Denon, you also know how to use a CDJ. Buttons are in different spots - take 5 mins to figure it out and done.Same goes with Serato vs. Rekordbox vs. VDJ etc...
@@hearmenow909 Same old argument. If you can use a Denon, you can use a Pioneer. CDJs take like 5 mins tops to learn where the buttons are. I play in clubs (on CDJs) all the time and I absolutely hate them.
I think that they are slowly going to lose the “industrial standard” status. Literally every software from the competition has some significant advantage over Rekordbox. VDJ & Djay & Traktor Pro 4 - no subscription, once you pay you own the full list of features Serato - it comes with many dj controllers as a standard, also does not forces you to pay a subscription For the CDJ/XDJ users there is Denon’s Engine Dj software If things do not change they will rely on fans and people who got so used to their software environment so they refuse to change

I don't feel the need for automatic cue point generation, so no need to pay a subscription.
The hardware unlock is enough for my DJ'ing.
Is it really Native to Apple Silicon or running Rosetta

it's universal indeed
Is it worth upgrade if I had sound issues with currently playing tracks while analyzing library tracks at the same time?
if your cpu is too slow, maybe
I'm new to this. Should I download older version and stay away from v7? Looking to use free version for now.
stay with 6.8.x version ... more stable for live performance ! i don't recommand the 7.0.x versions right now
i dont understand, is rekordbox 7 an update your supposed to pay for? i don't have an option to download it, anyone know something about that?
Don't bother. But Pioneer (Alpha Theta) also bought Serato.... now that Pioneer is on the decline, they're trying to get every penny they can.
Yep sure do...whatever you do DON'T DOWNLOAD IT
I'm sticking to Serato
I don't think it will help you much, since it is owned by ....
Hasn’t had this issue
Or DJay Pro

it is Totally underrated!
Why should i pay huge sums for something Virtual dj already have for one time affordable purchase
exactly my point!
Where can i find the analyze - auto cue function? I tryed it in virtual dj. And searched for hours. 🥲
Do u know where I can Find the auto cue function in virtual dj?
@@chromvtic you should be placing your own cue points instead of relying on an algorithm to do it for you
I will say though, having hardware unlock tied to your account and not having a controller plugged in is probably the only nice change

Heard the voice - immediately new it was Dexxter Clark
haha. famous or infamous?
Is this automatic update to 7? Or not necessary
no not necessary in my opinion
May I know how to downgrade it?
Can someone explain to me the purpose of export mode?

it's like buying an Iphone more than 1000€ when androids phone do better for half price
This is why I dumped them for Denon years ago
Only problem is ,Denon isn't the standard in clubs.
