Sticking to my 1210s, nps

Switched from Ableton to Pioneer just recently and what can i say the rekordbox 7 update is just crap. I can't even import songs or folders as a complete playlist. On rekordbox 6 it still works just fine.

Dude it’s not even a question, pioneer will remain the flagship gear. It’s the allure their devices had for years and still have. Sorry dude but nobody really interested in stem separation. The CDJ 2000 already was top notch and a CDJ 3000 wasn’t even needed, that how good THEIR invention was. Denon will always be a copy cat to that product Pioneer put on the market. You a prat if you believe Denon is going to take over the market 😂

This is complicated stuff. Pioneer is behind now, that's true. But i did some investigation and there are people telling denon play-cue buttons are failing quickly. If you are club/festival owner first of all you need robust equipment able to handle drunk dj abusive button hits etc instead of "more features". Denon needs to work on quality to become standart. What i see is some djs switch to xone mixers and this is where pioneer is starting to loose slowly.

Y'all saying you don't like using a set of CDJ's until you get to the clubs and festivals and realize that's all they have. It's a lot easier to learn how to play on those at home than try to get your decks on stage and everyone looking at you sideways in the process. Do I particularly like pioneer? Not at all, especially how they release fucking rekordbox updates on Fridays right when I go to check my sets for the weekend. Am I going to buy a set of pioneer cdjs and their latest mixer eventually? Fuck yeah until I see some significant industry shift away from them. Not getting caught with my pants down in front of a shit ton of people.

i can download it and it’s on my desktop but when i go to open rekordbox it doesn’t open anyone know how to fix this

I still use my CDJ 1000's with my Rane TTM 57 with Scratch Live. I just don't do the updates. If I Have to play on a XDJ Xz at the club, I use it with the newest version of Serato I can get away with. I just cancelled my Rekordbox Creative subscription because they have never fixed the issues with the analyzation issues that they have, where the beat grid is off on over half my tracks, and I'm not willing to sit there and manually do it. i also tried out the Rekordbox Video plug in, and honestly it was not worth the money. I am just sticking to Serato.

Yet the club standard by djs around the globe is pioneer dj. … only ones to complain or entry or mid level djs. Who will continuously find something to be dissatisfied about. In one thing or another. It is what it is.

That's why I stopped using Pioneer and continued to use Traktor which is a full blown licence. With Traktor Pro 4 they moved away from the subscription model altogether.

Nope , not "we" , 2 technics , 1 S8 & Traktor 2 & 2 cdj 1000 mk3 ... & yes digital vinyl , sold all my not sustainable old cracky 12 inch vinyls , .... yes I can cue , beat match , even loop , remix , stems & effects on the fly for more than 8 years ago ... There's nothing new 2day , it's only automated more than I has to be ... Rest my case

This is because the company was bought by a private equity firm. This is what they do to the market leaders. They buy them and then pull this shit.

I get the appeal for some Pioneer products for some DJ's - I would use Pioneer if that's all I had with no problems.. CDJ or a Pioneer mixer with serato vinyl.. - but I use a Rane product and technics 1200s and serato if I need to interface with digital files since I have a backbone of real vinyl cuts . What they are doing is sick in a bad way these subscriptions are so greedy and they spy on you through these transfers as well.

just buy a turntabel. nobady can stop you to play one vinyl after another.

Just use VDJ, it works out of the box with all hardware. and its perpetual! I have a VDJ license since 2011 and it works fine and updates without me have to pay anything

I played on a pair of Denon's a few weeks ago and they god awful. Never again.

7 years ago I got on the Denon Prime boat, a single SC5000 and Engine DJ (music prep only), I understood the road map Denon was laying out. Not being shackled to a laptop or services put me in control, haven't looked back since, haven't touched any DVS or DJ software, all my music local not on a service. I'm in control, not a corporation. Convenience is a trap for DJs and the industry knows it.

Their official statement on this was lame and I'm calling B.S. on it! They say they are putting energy into new technologies, but funny how they put energy into the tech to allow older gear to work once you pay to play.

To be honest I have a pair of CDJs 850 (really old) and continue to use them and export music from rekordbox. Im surprised they still work and can read my RKBX playlists. I’m fine with it 🙌🏻👏🏻💪🏻

I want to say That i Love the Hardware of Pioneer, They Feel Good And They Are Just Looking Amazing but... Pioneer's Decisions on What there Are Doing are Quiet Horrible. i Hope That The Company Breaks out of this bullshit "moneymaking" Strategies and Start Making Good Products Like the old Days... That Would be The only solution to Fix this Broken Image problem. otherwise DJ's Like me That are playing in Clubs Have NO choice to Switch To Denon.. and Sadly, Denon Doesn't Make any Controllers Like The FLX10 i Recently Buyed. So People Like me Are Supposed To Use Pioneer because its the worst but Best Choice For Little amounts of Money To Play in Clubs With. and That is Horrible Sad.

I bought a VirtualDJ lifetime license in 2004 (est) and haven't paid a sub ever, for any product. I can even use any other hardware, it just works with VDJ. I can even export CDJ usb(s) from my playlists. in VDJ. I can't imagine paying a sub just to use my software, or my hardware, lol. That sucks, hopefully they kill that attitude soon.

This is why I use Traktor. Although I have to pay a subscription, it’s relatively cheap and they take a long long time to stop supporting old hardware. Plus… doesn’t take ten hours to analyse/ export tracks for use again and again and again…..

It is marketing greedy departments are going mad. They just want a new Mercedes S-Class every year. And someone has to pay for their wishes. There are millions of these bastard doing nothing but just inventing a new methods to make you pay for nothing.

I 100% agree that Pioneer pulled a tough one on us and they shouldn't have. But I hate that you tell the audience to not use pioneer and yourself say "I will do the same thing as Pioneer and keep following money, making tutorials for them". Like hypocritical much telling others to not do what you do lol.

I have a Denon SC6000 with a LC6000, with two SL1200 and a Model 1.4 mixer and it is a real pleasure to mix. The cdjs are not more apealling to me, only the Euphonia mixer seems to be really good but it is overpriced

I own a DDJ-RZX, when I asked Pioneer they said that they realized the my controller would be compatible with the innovations added in Rekordbox 7. They really believe their customers are stupid or what ?

Im a owner of DDJ 800 and for that price its a really expensive its just a mapped keyboard with really poor hardware only 2 microchips that handle USB connection and rekordbox on laptop doing everything of course 3 locked beat fx effects where u need pay 300+ dollars for ping pong , helix and vinyl brake effect and there is more locked features . Any hardware features there for that price its just a mid-range sound card and cheap PCB we just paying for software thats already locked .

Just dont buy Pioneer anymore. I left the brand 10 years ago and i enjoy every moment since than.

CDJ400 used USB stick two years before CDJ2000.

I lost all confidence in pioneer a long time ago. I ended up selling all my pioneer gear apart from my monitors. I do own the denon SC6000s and after a bit of getting used to the changes between the players I can say they are night and day. The denons are so much more user friendly and friends who still take their USB with record ox tracks on them can basicly plug in their USB and encounter no problems with playback. The players themselves will alalise all track formats. You don't even have to use the engine software if you don't want to. Me on the other hand have to re annalise with recordbox which I have always found to be really irritating. But now pioneer are just taking the p**s and have gone even further down in my estimations.

I felt like an idiot still using Traktor with x1 mk2, z1, and f1 (I live abroad, it would be complicated to have a proper big consol, so I sold everything home and bought something small) and I considered so many times switch to rekordbox, but having almost 10 years old gear bought used and still perfectly working makes me think differently now, especially after this video. Traktor right now is missing A LOT of stuff, some useful, some not, but at least seems to be still reliable.

straight facts! but I'm sorry to tell but when it comes to players, pioneer will last the only way to go - its a monopol. + touching the cue and play of a denon device gives me the ick tbh
