Hey, not sure if this is new for the stems but it is something I just found and I didnt see you mention it in this video but You can control the amount of each stem now using the mixer within rekordbox as well as with your dj controller. With the mixer selection on you now have a button that says stems under your volume fader (CUE is above and STEMS is under the volume fader) when you click stems that allows you to reduce or increase the "volume" or amount of each of the individual stems. I thought that was great. It hasnt been mentioned anywhere and to me that is going to be a function i probably use most often in all practicality when it comes to stems. But thank you for this video it was nice to have all the new selections explained as I wasnt really 100% sure on some of the options.
You're absolutely right. The STEM ISO feature assigned to the EQ knobs is fantastic. Using shift + cue to switch the EQ to STEM ISO on certain controllers is a game-changer, and the fact that it's MIDI assignable makes it even more versatile. Personally, I prefer having that ISO control on the knob rather than using a solo/mute button, especially when mixing. A video that highlights this feature and its benefits would be a great idea!
I have an i7 8th gen Processor in my Lenovo laptop and the processor is at 98% analyzing the stem every time I load a song, so it's not usable on most computers. Rekordbox, please learn from Serato, their stems work wonderfully and with high quality without forcing the processors to 100%. Shame on the Rekordbox engineers, they should ALL resign or declare themselves incompetent. Good video review Billy, new subs here 👍
sounds like you're using Rekordbox in Export mode instead of Performance mode. Click on Export mode int he top left and change it to Performance mode. You should see everything covered in this video once that's done.
On my rekordbox on windows I don’t have a stems page under extensions it’s just called track separation and it doesn’t have many of the options you have. What am I missing here 🤣 I just updated to the newest version when prompted on start up on the application
Thanks for chiming in! The STEM engine is available on all plans, including the free one. It sounds like you're in "Export" mode instead of "Performance" mode. You can switch this by using the dropdown menu in the top left corner of Rekordbox.
That maybe so, but you can't export to cdj with djay, you can't import your serato or rekordbox crates and playlist even when using lexicon or something like that so maybe it is better but building crates and playlists from scratch and no export..... equals..... not better!
Thx for the video... i for the hell couldn't figure out how to capture drums.
Thanks a lot for this walkthrough - Really helpful for a couple of little things I hadn't found in the Groove Circuit! :)
happy to help :-)

Brilliant vid. Much appreciated 👏🏿
Yes Billy, nice review mate sounds cool , i know Traktor stems seem to be very good so far 👍
That's a whole lot of possessor required. Fun video!!!
RB7 is so cluttered, so many features behind tiny buttons or menus... But I will give this latest update a go now.
Great video!

Hello 👋 I don’t see the extensions tab in the settings nor does stems come up when typed in search bar

also make sure you are using Rekordbox 7.0.4 or later
@@BillyLane916 that did the trick thank you thank you

I realize I’m still on rekordbox 6 😅
@@vezzi1137 I was going to say it sounds like RB6! :-)
Is professional required to access these stems features because I am on the free version and don't see them.

Hey everytime I try to update my rekordbox it wont change to version 7
It’s on 6.85 and says there isn’t a new update
Maybe your processor doesn't have avx2 instructions wich 7 version requires to work.
It's a separate software so you'll have to download it from the website. Once downloaded, you'll have both Rekordbox 6 and 7 on your laptop
Just get a Ddj XP2 … save yourself some $
My iPhone 13 can handle stems with Djay algorithm 🤣🤣🤣 … try harder Rekordbox🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s still terrible compared to DJay 🤷🏾♂️🤣🤣

@@PeteSherriff you can export your Serato crates to djay inside djay pro actually lol
