Aggressively tanking is similar to playing as an aggressive infantryman, just bigger. You still need to be aware of your surroundings, what weapons work at what ranges, and how you can get the drop on the enemy and retreat before they encircle you.
Going full support for a tanker buddy is so much fun. Jumping in and out of the gunner seats, and in/out of the vehicle to repair is more exciting than driving imo
Another tip is always switching to that coax to keep enemies heads down while the cannon is reloading. You never want to show weakness or vulnerability I'm constantly switching between coax and main gun, I see you do that as well.
I like how the twin .50 calls on the pacific amphibious tanks are twice as effective against infantry than the 4x20mm on Flakpanzer. The rounds fired by the German 20mm were twice as heavy and had the same velocity as the .50 cal. So twice the damage, twice the guns. Should be 4x as powerful as 2x .50 cals. But that would be ridiculous. I’m just saying the 20mm should get a buff and just give it way less ammo.
NGC 7635 battlefield logic. Unfortunately it’s not real life. in real life u can’t just get shot 5 times than get revived over and over again. I hope in the next battlefield they have a game mode that uses gameplay mechanics from the game squad for people like us who care about ultra realism

miguelzaibatsu and me and my friend constantly carry our team even when I’m not tanking so I guess I’m bad at infantry when dropping 60 kills and and 2 deaths on my best game of conquest

I didnt realise there was a name for it but when I played this game, I would bring a tank to the outskirts of objectives, with my squadmate in the gunner seats. We were so practiced at working together, I would angle around so he could gun down infantry lungeminers. Or if I was gunner and we got hit, I would hop out, throw smoke down and repair him / fight infantry as he pulled back. So many games we were in the same tank for most of the match.

A quick FYI: at 14:40 he states that you should prioritize assaults and other tanks when low on health. I think it would be wise to kill any supports aswell as they can do a similar amount of damage as the assault class. Just today I found out that shaped charges when placed on the engine can do 50 damage per to theT34 Calopie so I popped that sucker in less than 10 seconds. If it’s Tldr: 14:40 watch out for supports aswell
Tbh I really like the tank gameplay in BFV, assualt classes don’t bust me in like 2 seconds because I usually find them and just blast em. This is just my opinion though
It’s hard to find a middle ground too far and your not that useful and just farming kills, too close and you just get rocket spammed (and now lunge mines) and get murdered. you gotta Find the middle ground where your a presence on the objective and the enemy is wary of you but can’t just rush you.
A tip for light vehicle users: I find that for the light tanks like the Type 97 and Panzer 38t, it works well to equip armour-piercing ammo rather than going for a larger gun: circling around tanks, equipping AT, and blasting them from behind. I managed to flank quite a few Shermans and other medium/large tanks using this tactic, and believe it takes only around 2 hits from AT from behind to take 'em out - at least with Sherman at close range...
German Medium tank Tank Flares Shotty like secondary Main tank shell does good damage to armor, Flares lets me know where any enemy is at, when I want to push really hard. Shotty secondary lets me kill many infantry back to back, Splash damage kills infantry really fast. I go 100-0 at times with this load out.

One tip I can give is if you're using the Staghound please do not attempt to 1v1 any tanks especially if you don't have the ability to shoot them with rockets. You can be 3 shot (4 shot w/ instant repair) by any tank in the game. The Panzer 38T even has you outmatched considerably with it's APCR rounds. At least that's what I've seen so far.
I think that tanking can clear a point then protect the counter attack. But if your tank is used as a direct response to the counter attack although your not on the point it’s still essential to the objective. That’s how I play. Every solider you pull towards yourself is less killing the captures

I often enter lobbys and squads where no one is trying to help the Tankers going around and helping, luck of the draw I guess, I use the Valentine Archer and Sturmgeschütz a lot and sometimes switch to the Churchill or Tiger on occasion. For the Valentine Archer I typically find good cover behind the Stone walls on Panzerstorm. They may be temporary cover, but since most people use the standard shells and almost never the APDS or Armor Piercing. The shells do little damage to me. Another I like to do since most Assault players are a little greedy when attacking tanks, I pretend to be oblivious to them when I see them get close I stay still, possibly fire off a shell. If they're cocky and dumb they'll go for the Dynamite. The Archer has a rear-facing gunner seat I use to complete the trap for that assault player. They come too close and I switch to the gunner seat and kill them at close range because it's hard to not hit them. The smart assault players typically use their Panzerfaust or PIAT or M1A1 Bazooka and don't fall for it. Note for Battlefield V Assault players: just because you HAVE Dynamite, doesn't mean you should use it always on a Lone Tank, instead set a Trap, then shoot the tank with a rocket to get it's Attention.
in BF3 I always played support and I made a point of spawning near sniper hotspots and dropping my ammobox there in BF5 I usually play medium range assault, but sometimes switch to assault to repair vehicles and guns throughout the map. My aim still sucks but my gameplay massively improved trying to see the bigger picture and changing class accordingly Nothing as strong as a tank with a repairman as first gunner
Helpfull af been playing since release gettin bored of bf5 atm but never been good at tanks but ganna use this and the other links to try get better thanks
Being passive isn't an issue since you're more likely to know what's going on around you and be in a position to say defend a cap or stop a push since you aren't either dead/out of ammo due to being aggressive or going cap to cap with the zerg.
I usually sit around the objectives and shell the area to support the infantry, and then I rush just to the outskirts of the objective, so I have an easy escape route. And whenever I see a tank, I just rush it with my AP-shells (Using the Panzer IV), which absolutely murders just about every tank, if you know where to place your shells (i.e. tracks when approaching from the front, the side when approaching from, the side? And then finally, the back, again, when approaching from the back. NEVER target the turret, unless you want to disable the turret rotation speed.), and if you place them correctly and have a nice aim, then you're pretty damn near invincible. The PAK-40 specialization for the Panzer IV is good all around. Also for infantry, but you just need to be a bit more accurate, to hit the infantry within its splash damage kill range. The Valentine is just a tad bit different. You can just spamfire the cannon, due to its higher rate of fire, and be pretty effective. I also prefer to use the AP-composite shells here. Though just not as effective as the Panzer IV's AP shells. Finally, heavy tanks. All the same. I don't use the howitzer on the Churchill, because I wan't to be capable of taking down other tanks. So I use the APC rounds, with much higher muzzle velocity (Compared to the howitzer). And with the Tiger, just use the damn HEAT-T shells. You can potentially take down a medium tank with two shells.

Previous bf games had a limit at ammo so you had to wait for it to recharge the ammo basically unlimited, here in 5 you have to actually be careful and spent your ammo wise and then you have to go back to resupply,
Well, no matter what tank class you have as a solo player you cannot prevent the "here I am " gunner from spawning into your vehicle and shooting at trees and random objects so that by the time you encounter the enemy they know full well you are there.
If you get an enemy standing on your tank and nobody has shot them off, look for steep terrain and drive off it. When they fall off they immediately die giving you another kill.
@@kyodairiker war thunder is not better at all The grind is annoying you have to pay a lot more money if you want to just get all the tanks/planes in one tree without wasting a year of your life and 1 shot can end it all making it not new player friendly the graphics are worse and you can’t customize like you can in bf5 for example you can’t put a new turret or new armor (yes I know you can put tracks but that’s it) also the skins are not interesting and you can only put 2 3D decals unless you pay $10 a month so war thunder is so much worse
Also if you have a gunner in a tank, don’t just sit sideways lobbing rounds into the distance leaving the gunner staring at a brick wall or embankment. It’s very frustrating.
I want to see more squad play. An example is two assault players, one medic, and one support. This would be good for tank hunting. Assault would bring all AT weapons, medic would bring all smokes and health packages and support should bring an ammo crate with and AT pistol with LMG for quick shots on enemies. I feel like this is the strongest tank hunting squad! I feel like this would give any tank player a run for their money!
Shepherd Wu I can see that, with that said the point of the support in the squad is the keep the group filled with ammo and bog down enemies trying to stop the two assault classes from doing their job. The support should only jump in if completely necessary. The assault class has the best AT weapons, so use it to your advantage. The medic btw should be healing/reviving (duh) ;as well as hiding the assault from moving up.
I love being a tank gunner/repair support player Its frustrating when a tanker goes rogue, meaning they solo push, get swarmed and we lose a great asset. BUT teams that support the tank and tanks that support the team are damn near unstoppable turning their snipers into easy kills and our assault players into objective capturers
I like your video, I’ve been a tanker since bad company and cod 3 and waw I love tanks in battlefield games and yet I still have trouble lol despite many defenses I get taken out by ground troops faster then anything else
Without infantry protecting you, once you're within 100 yards of the enemy you're basically insta-killed. The assault class is way to powerful to overcome and main cannon splash damage is horrible. I resort to using the Tiger more like an Anti-tank sniper, as opposed to something lethal able to push. Kind of a bummer.
In my opinion if there's one thing BFV got right it's tanking and piloting. Sure, it may have been done better in previous titles but that doesn't mean it is bad here. Plus older games are either dead or have a playerbase of only hardcore players that don't really leave room for newbies or casuals, which makes casual play on those older games a bit more difficult in my experiences. That's not to say BFV doesn't have its fair share of sweats but there's usually a much more casual playerbase so hopping on for a quick match is pretty easy.
I’m abit of a natural tanker I’ve got military in my heritage ground and Air Force. And the best advice is with tanking in Battlefield 5 do not be timid fight like it’s your last stance and don’t try and outrun infantry. Stick to you guns and don’t be close to infantry use your tank like a high powered sniper if there’s a large enemy garrison. Push up with air support to an objective to scatter infantry and destroy heavy positions then when retreating start co orditnating retreat after the 1st shot because the second will come and then you’ll have to move, if your in a larger tank like a Churchill 6 pounder or tiger stay put and fire back use your armour advantage because an awful gun isn’t really a problem when you have good armour and also a key tip from war thunder angle tigers are great always stick at a 30, 40 degree angle with the front plant and they’ll most likely be a glance and you should be alright
I have a tip for infantry If you down someone at the near end of the match stay on them for a while because if a medic tries to revive you can mow them down instantly
Almost every time I get in a tank, I at least get 15 kills on average. I've gotten 50-0 games just punishing the enemy team. Or I get outsmarted with only a few kills
I dont understand why I cant chose my soldiers gun.. You always have the same gun when you exit the tank.. You should be able to chose a gun. Maybe limit what guns you can have but atleast make choices..

If you get an enemy standing on your tank and nobody has shot them off, look for steep terrain and drive off it. When they fall off they immediately die giving you another kill.
Thank you (or should i say tank you 🙃) for this nice guide. You made some really good points, which i will try out now! ♡
Those mine clearer rockets combined with main cannon are devistating when aimed at other tanks
Hearing thunderrun in the background was nostalgic
World of tanks player: interesting
͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
Ean Naven war thunder player: what in the hell is this
war thunder is better
Cosmonauts Jam I play PS4 and war thunder is way harder for me, BF5 is way more simple and has better graphics imo
@@kyodairiker war thunder is not better at all
The grind is annoying you have to pay a lot more money if you want to just get all the tanks/planes in one tree without wasting a year of your life and 1 shot can end it all making it not new player friendly the graphics are worse and you can’t customize like you can in bf5 for example you can’t put a new turret or new armor (yes I know you can put tracks but that’s it) also the skins are not interesting and you can only put 2 3D decals unless you pay $10 a month so war thunder is so much worse
@@humanhuman5024 You right but I like war Thunder better
Also if you have a gunner in a tank, don’t just sit sideways lobbing rounds into the distance leaving the gunner staring at a brick wall or embankment. It’s very frustrating.
I spent more time destroying tanks than stying in them, unless the tank driver is blind, it's quite difficult to bust tanks
Thanks for the quality content Art, i really appreciate it.
AT pistol is not as effective as AT mines, I usually just put AT mines near the tanks and detonate them
Shepherd Wu I can see that, with that said the point of the support in the squad is the keep the group filled with ammo and bog down enemies trying to stop the two assault classes from doing their job. The support should only jump in if completely necessary. The assault class has the best AT weapons, so use it to your advantage. The medic btw should be healing/reviving (duh) ;as well as hiding the assault from moving up.
They need to fix the broken hit-reg in tanks already. 90% of tank vs tank fights involve dusting.
Is that what happens where I see the emeny shell fly just over or past my tank and it still damages me?
I love being a tank gunner/repair support player
Its frustrating when a tanker goes rogue, meaning they solo push, get swarmed and we lose a great asset. BUT teams that support the tank and tanks that support the team are damn near unstoppable turning their snipers into easy kills and our assault players into objective capturers
Can you please do a ultimate pilot guide?
I like all the load outs but the APCRs on the Tiger will eat any light armor and sometimes two shot churchills
Miss ya dude. Hope all's well in your life!🙏
I’m abit of a natural tanker I’ve got military in my heritage ground and Air Force. And the best advice is with tanking in Battlefield 5 do not be timid fight like it’s your last stance and don’t try and outrun infantry. Stick to you guns and don’t be close to infantry use your tank like a high powered sniper if there’s a large enemy garrison. Push up with air support to an objective to scatter infantry and destroy heavy positions then when retreating start co orditnating retreat after the 1st shot because the second will come and then you’ll have to move, if your in a larger tank like a Churchill 6 pounder or tiger stay put and fire back use your armour advantage because an awful gun isn’t really a problem when you have good armour and also a key tip from war thunder angle tigers are great always stick at a 30, 40 degree angle with the front plant and they’ll most likely be a glance and you should be alright
tanking in bfv is harder than my .... sometimes
Tanks are big slow tho in bf5
Try playing tank in War Thunder
I have a tip for infantry
If you down someone at the near end of the match stay on them for a while because if a medic tries to revive you can mow them down instantly
I reached top tier in WT so a game with a history of fast af tank turrets shouldn't really be that big of a problem for me
To become a chad Japanese tanker you must of put tank in the tunnel for max sneekiness.
Almost every time I get in a tank, I at least get 15 kills on average. I've gotten 50-0 games just punishing the enemy team. Or I get outsmarted with only a few kills
I would think ima Sherman cave sweeping you would use a flame thrower on you’re tank
Love getting to use the Sherman 6 times in 1 iwo jima game, just to be bum rushed by 2 or 3 tanks every time.
Gotta be smart
Tip: valentine archer in the corner of the map to snipe tanks
I dont understand why I cant chose my soldiers gun.. You always have the same gun when you exit the tank.. You should be able to chose a gun. Maybe limit what guns you can have but atleast make choices..
Am I the only one who noticed the trees coming through the walls at 4:12?
Yeah his game is possesed
5:18 Its chassis is missing
Dude should definitely be narrating National Geographic
in the top left you seee 'REVIVE PLEASE'.This is an EPIC problem in the game, well everyday life there is NO COMMON DECENCY anymore!
I prefer the Puma over the Panzer T due to it’s speed but comparing the Puma and the Panzer T, which one is more durable?
Good chunk of info well done...
The Sherman I had everything on the right side for loadout
I got a Masterclass ad for this video, lol
As an experienced tank player I agree 🐼🖒
Infantry can do some work without a tank but tanks struggle without infantry
My top 3 are: Churchill crocodile
Churchill mkviii
Panzer 38t
11:58 this is a really risky move because you risk losing your tank and also the dumbass teammate might steal your tank
For those saying 'you are cheating blabla wallhacking' I hope this video gives you some education
Loved the vid. Really great tips.
Awesome Vid you should do one for planes
That tank going in the water lmfao
In panzerstorm i killed a tiger that was not angle so i took it as advantage
Amazing content!
You know im not the greatest tanker in bfv but usually when i hop in one im super agressive not coming at spawn and i hardly get taken out buy enimeis its all in the smoke launchers
Thnx for the tips
Tanking in BF5 2024 get the tank, go to the edge of the map as far away from the capture zones as possible, camp there loose the game, flex with yout K/D.
That’s it 😀😍
no one going to talk about that grass or foliage at 4:04?
Love the vid but i dont think theres a stabalizer on tiger h
Thanks 👍
I want to know how the range finders work
I know this is a 1 month old video I been trying to get help but I don’t see videos on it but when I remove all my hands of the controller my tank moves on it own I don’t know what to do it ruins my gameplay with tanks
what if my enemy is watching this video
damn :')
