How to make a Layered Tube Dress

- Everyone would look adorable in this layered floral-pattern dress! It's such a perfect summer-spring dress so take the chance to be your own dressmaker, so join me on this tutorial and let's create together! Don't forget you can style this look by also put on leggings or with your favourite pair of high heels. And you will need these materials: Fabric: Cotton-pattern. Pins, scissors, measuring tape, chalk or a pencil, sewing machine, thread that matches the color of the fabric, elastic band.

the sewing machine she uses in her videos is a Brother CS-6000i. It's a great beginner machine. Any Brother sewing machine is actually. I honestly think the best place to purchase a machine is on amazon. They have excellent prices and choices to choose from.
Hum.. I'm gonna try to make this using a basic tube top that I have and some matching fabric I found lying around. Let's hope it works ;) Take care and nice tutorial as per usual ;)
tube tops are not for me, but a tank top would have looked cute too. =D i like it. very sweet. love the flower print.

@CRAZYICONic Absolutely. If you're comfortable just wearing a tanktop in public there's no reason not to. Tanktop dresses look great with leather or jean jackets on top.

Hey Gianny! I saw this awesome thing the other day. It was a dress you could make from picking every section of it. Like 3 different top sections, 3 different bottom sections, 4 different waistlines, and so on. Maybe you can do something with that? Because that would be awesome! i love this pattern im altering it so it has a few inches of sleves on it and its a v neck and the skirt starts at the waist

there are quite a few stretchy fabrics on the market.. The one she used here was probably Jersey. You could also use Lycra.

i was wondering if you could pretty pretty please make a video on a bathing suit skirt? or shorts? i have a one piece suit and well i dont feel so comfortable just wearing the suit so i was gonna try and make a ltitle skirt thing to wear with it you know? maybe even shorts. (idk if bathing suit shorts would really work.) But it'd be really really awesome if you did! It's gathered in the front...like there are horizontal gathers going across. By the way, i absolutely adore your style and videos!
@TheMaroonflame IDK if someone has answered this yet, but if not: step 1: take off your shirt (if its appropriate too :P )
step 2: fold it inside out
Theres your answer, always have outside (which you normally see, like the writing on a shirt) make sure thats on the inside, so when you turn it outside out, it looks normal :) hope this helped, if not ill be making a video on it soon!

I would advise anyone making this to put a hem on the bottom so it wont fray, plus it will look more finished. Or use a product like like Fray Stoppa to stop it from fraying in the future. Fabric can be expensive so why make something and have it fray away in a few days.

could you make something that used smaller pieces of fabric? it seems like that's what i always have :)
Try going to thrift stores on discount days to buy fabric. Or use bed sheets, also from thrift stores. It is a cheap way of getting fabric!!
