Dude is both street articulate and even though he ain’t an academic he still has learnt enough to be book articulate. One of those rare breeds who can talk at Harvard and Harlem and sound as wise as the wisest in both settings. True OG. Can move with the kings and the kingpins the same.

*My older Brother used to tell me when I was younger to listen to Ice-T because he was rapping about our lives...I didn't understand it then. I was more into Chi Ali, Heavy D & MC Hammer. Wow! Wow! *WOW!* One of the best interviews I've ever seen. I enjoyed the life lessons about business too, especially about "90% of businesses fall through, best not to talk about it, wait for it to happen." Highly entertaining and informative. 10/10.
Ice-T is the man. As a fellow person from Los Angeles, it's great to hear the history of gangs. I wish he in this interview he touched more on the movement from early hip hop and electro to what he became. The 1981-1986 period and what really got him to into hip hop and what helped him evolve out of the earlier styles musically. Obviously the trend went that way like with Dre and world class wreckin cru to NWA but I'm curious to hear more about his work during the time of Killers. And maybe his thoughts about Tibetan jam/reckless and how that came about. How he feels about being a part of one of the best electro cuts of all time. I wonder if he fully knows the influence of that track on electronic community. I would love to know what Ice-T thought of the breakin days, graffiti and did he feel pressure to be from the east or west coast musically as he wss coming up.
If you want some serious, in-depth LA gang history from those who were on the front lines, check out Kev Mac Videos here on RUclips if you haven't already. He interviewed Monster Kody, Big Mumpy, Barefoot Pookie, OG Cutes, and dozens of others.
I agree - great interview, but thats the part of Ice T’s career is rarely talked about. That was the REAL of Ice T’s career and westcoast rap in general. When Electro and rap was merged and it was all about partying, battling on the mic and dance floor and having fun. Before gangsta rap
Ice T ain’t from LA he from jersey came to LA in high school he was never a banger never a factor and definitely not an og so yaw can believe him but LA ain’t buying that shit he was a break dancer a army dude then a studio gangster he don’t look act or talk like a LA nigga wannabe og
When chosing the being hard walk of life, there are two certainties to be acknowledged. There's always someone tougher crossing your path someday and if you make it to a decent age you end bitter because you may have respect for your age and history, but you wield power no more. Not?
I will always support Ice T. Remember in his nice car that he got pulled over on the New York Bridge, police towed his nice car because he didn't have a tag. Fly ass car.

Sounds like you'll need to link up with Ice and do it yourself! Lot of deep rich history right there... Would love to hear that!
@@Wk-xq5zg original gangster. Go listen to eminem u noob
Always been a fan, Ice T seems like such a chilled dude.
Life isn't about being hard. It's about being smart
When chosing the being hard walk of life, there are two certainties to be acknowledged. There's always someone tougher crossing your path someday and if you make it to a decent age you end bitter because you may have respect for your age and history, but you wield power no more. Not?
I grew up listeing to ICE-T and ICE Cube. Great interveiw!!!
I will always support Ice T. Remember in his nice car that he got pulled over on the New York Bridge, police towed his nice car because he didn't have a tag. Fly ass car.
Loved this interview! Ice been my favorite rapper since I was a kid. Always appreciated his game...
