    Fun fact: Mad Jack’s vocal effects (as well as the maniacal laughter in the music track) were stock recordings by Clarence Nash, who was the original voice of Donald Duck. That’s why Mad Jack sounds a lot like Donald.

Though not so little anymore since for some reason they decided to give her a BIG growth spurt for later games like Diddy Kong Racing DS and Barrel Blast, making her look more like a teenager, and also looking a lot older than her big sister. Honestly I really don't like the redesign at all and I have no idea why they did it.

The one that I had serious trouble with was the Dogodon in the Fungi Forest boss rom. He made me his bitch for over a year before I figured out how to beat him (throwing Chunky's Heavy bunch a million times? How come I didn't think of that sooner?). After that the rest of the bosses were easy (puffer fish aside, but at least I didn't have a time limit like the Fungi Forest).

    This is what i call a damn good boss battle.
    You are afraid of the boss, cause he or her, will fuck your shit up if you don't know what to do.
    The music too, it's god damn genius, the tones used in this track are emotional and fightening, again, makes you afraid of the boss.
    Now, that's how you do bosses right, you implement strategy, skill and with to defeat it.
    and you have to get quicker each time you gain a hit.
    I have not seen a good boss battle since 2001.
    Today's bosses in games are like this: Shoot this, shot that, molest this ting and win.
    What happened to good boss design like this?

      i mean he DOES shoot fireballs and lasers and can turn invisible.
      i think the invisibility might play a big part in his rejection.

    If they actually remade this game, do you know how freaky Mad Jack would look bursting out of high resolution darkness? Your sibling, who may not even be in the same room or house than you would jump out of fear!

    I think there's a reason why this boss was "optional" until the end of the game (since you didn't need to defeat him to get to the fourth level); he was that hard to beat. I had to beat him for my friend. lulz.
    But I still think he was the most fun one, especially if you fight him at a bird's eye view. Oh the good times.

  • @7chaoemerald
    @7chaoemerald 13 лет назад +1

    I think I've figured out why Mad Jack was considerably harder than the other bosses (minus K. Rool). You actually don't have to get the 3rd boss key to progress to the next area since Frantic Factory and Gloomy Galleon are unlocked at the same time. So, in reality, you really didn't have to get the key until it was time to unlock Hideout Helm.
