the vlogs are probably still my fav (esp at brown with michelle and jenny) but i think the best types of videos are ones that incorporate both the vlog style and the random talking bits
im going into my freshman year of college in august and this video really motivated me to get involved and to start seeking out opportunities, rather than just waiting on them to approach me. also, i really like your sit down videos where you give advice. you're so well spoken and i am always inspired by your successes!!! great video x
I'd love to hear more about being pre-med in general! Like what classes you're taking when to fulfill major and pre-med requirements, when you're planning to study and take the MCAT, if you're thinking of a gap year, extracurricular/research experience you're thinking about in addition to this, etc. Your pre-med videos so far have been very helpful!
Great ideas! Will make an updated video for that. If you want to hear more about the classes I've taken to fulfill my requirements, watch these videos: ruclips.net/video/pxCQwGcZGpk/видео.html ruclips.net/video/RO9vFfGXpS0/видео.html
i really like your style of editing and how informative you are throughout all of your videos, so thank you for that. also, can you please go over in more details as regards to how having an internship at stanford without networking? i'd greatly appreciate it! thank you :)
I like your unscripted videos where you (and usually with a friend) just discuss your thoughts and reflect on your experiences, whether that be a vlog or not
Love the balance in every single video you made. I have always been looking for this kinda channel where scientists try to bring science closer to the public. Keep up the good work ^^
your first day of brown classes was my favorite for sure! I love when you vlog, you come off a lot more comfortable than during sit down videos and they’re also super motivating haha
From first hand experience, high school research at Stanford without connections is definitely possible. You just have to show enough interest & persistence!
I love your vlogsss!! the ones where you show what you do in a day! It gives ideas of how to fix my schedule and balancing out studying and recreational activities and meeting up with friends :))) P.S I love it when Jenny and Michelle are also in the vids hahaha
Hey! Saw one of your videos in my feed(waking up at 5 am in the summer). Loved it so much that I started binge watching your videos lol! You're so real and honest ^_^ can't wait to see more of your content!
"no way, I love pipetting too" Also, love how you briefly talked about the podcasts! I'd be interested to see maybe a "My Top 3 Podcasts of the Month" or something. Would be dope if you provided links to them as well!
Wow another listener of Ali Abdaal! I love his podcast and I am a second year pre-med myself. I love your videos and it's nice to always see how other pre-meds are tackling the journey of becoming an MD!
love this video may!!! It really spoke out to me, I've always been so afraid of doing new things but this has invigorated me to seek failures!!! aahhhhh love ur content as always and so good to see you on the grind :)
notification squad!!!! May you're looking glowing isa amazing okay going to finish the video now after commenting first and showing some love (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎) you always inspire me to vlog my life more too :-; p.s. i love not over thinking!! by Abi something? (watched his first in cambridge video)
"The strongest thing a man can do is cry, to expose your feelings, to be vulnerable in front of the world. That's real strength. You know, you feel like you got to be this guarded person and that's not real. It's fake. " - Jay- Z I like your personal videos and vlogs more than the scripted videos. A video idea I have is what it was like to grow up in San Jose/Bay Area.
I love spontaneous, fun videos!! You are amazing! Don’t be scared to try new types of videos! I love funny videos, serious videos. It’s all interesting to me! ;)
I’m going into my freshman year of college in the fall and my end career goal is a cardio thoracic surgeon. I’ve been watching you since your Brown Vlogs because one of your friends was a previous LTG when i was in keyclub, and at the time I wanted to go to Brown :) Please talk about your application process! A Stanford internship sounds like a dream. Hope you are doing well!
question: would you be willing to do a lessons learned from sophomore year video? The videos that made me subscribe to you were definitely the ones where you give advice and are vulnerable. I feel you're like this cool wise older friend (mentor) who is so authentic and candid
Hiiiii I wish to take part in the summer research program in Stanford next summer , I'm currently in my 2nd year of biochemistry degree (I'm not pursuing a degree in us rn) , Any tipsss ??? If you haven't listened to it yet, there is this podcast called "This Podcast Will Kill You" run by two graduate students studying epidemiology and it covers different diseases and their history, biology, and status today. As a pre-med student I find it super interesting! You should check it out!
Previously you have talked about doing research at Stanford as a high schooler. ruclips.net/video/gH7wDR1gpQM/видео.html You also said for high schooler, you need connection to be there .... that means you have good connection at Stanford?
i like scripted videos, but yes strike that balance between professional and fun. Just keep doing videos the way you’ve been. Some vlogging, some scripted and I love the informative parts every time

“People don’t regret failure, they regret not seizing opportunities.” I LOVE THAT
As a high school student, I haven’t seen a lot about research, intern, shadowing advice for prospective med students, so I’d really appreciate one!
im going into my freshman year of college in august and this video really motivated me to get involved and to start seeking out opportunities, rather than just waiting on them to approach me. also, i really like your sit down videos where you give advice. you're so well spoken and i am always inspired by your successes!!! great video x
You’re ahead of the game!! Thank you this was really kind :)

I would be really-very interested in how, as a Brown student, you pursued a research position at Stanford!!
Where do you listen to your science podcasts at/What is the series called??! 😁
Apple Podcasts. They’re literally called “Nature” and “Science” (scientific peer-reviewed journals)
If you haven't listened to it yet, there is this podcast called "This Podcast Will Kill You" run by two graduate students studying epidemiology and it covers different diseases and their history, biology, and status today. As a pre-med student I find it super interesting! You should check it out!
