I'm learning that even the young crowds in these counties are scared to eat their own culture exotic foods lol. I'm over here in America so curious to eat these rings 😂
well, me as a young generation in Thailand. There's no guaranteed or clear evidence of eating these things is 100% safe, it's much like a lottery, since the educational are getting better and better now a day. Most of people are scared to try. I actually wanted to know the taste tho but the fact that my head knew that they were a soup of blood and cow shit's juice before becoming a plate of food? I'll pass xD
We don’t care if it’s “cultural exotic food”. We care if it could lead us to hospital or death. The education is getting so much better here and younger people know this is very risky to try except there’s a guarantee that it’s safe.
I’ve worked 9-9 for a company taking on every responsibility in upper management. I have not missed a day, worked on every birthday every Saturday missed valuable time with my family. Today I took two hours off due to a severe stomach illness and got a write up and severe backlash from the owners. Life is crazy thanks for reading.
In Guizhou of China, the content in the cows' small intestine is a popular food of which they would put into the hotpot soup base (it's called 牛癟火鍋 niu bie hotpot). More specifically, they would intentionally feed the cow with high quality grass and precious herbs before they slaughter it to get good quality of that.
Thankyou for the Chaingmai Extreme food dishes... I can remember collecting red ants for our cook, who fried them up with eggs & served with rice in 1974. I was a 4-year old white American child with Blond hair & blue eyes... The locals always wanted to touch my head and make sure I was real. A great experience I had living in Thailand before it got too Americanized.
of everything shown in this episode, I would only eat the raw buffalo and the any eggs. I've eaten COOKED bison and plenty of raw (cow) meat in my life. I've tasted caviar as well. ant eggs are not much of a stretch.

Ok I’ve mostly said- yeah I’d eat that. But today you hit my wall! No freaking bile! Also the raw blood is a little scary because of the parasites that can come with it. Your a brave man!
My good friends are from rural Laos......they make the dip with chili, rice powder, fish sauce and bile.....it's delicious.
You wouldnt want a spoon full, but with the other flavors and seasonings it gives a bitter umami. If you smell it before you try it you won't like it, once you've had it a few times it doesn't smell bad anymore but it smells very different than it tastes.
4:30 “it’s like a nuclear bomb, not one made by North Korea, like a real nuclear bomb that works” 😭😭 damnn bro didn’t have to go that hard lmaooo
The placenta actually looks really appetizing
I would've ruined everybody's trip cause I would've threw up on the table at every restaurant and proceeded to make the toilet pipes shake at the hotel 💩😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Me too
LMAO what a way with words
Oh hell yeah, Sonny! You are getting the real deal in CM this time. My family not only eat buffalo placenta, but also horse.
I have lived here over 20 years and for the first 10 years I would have a bowl of pigs blood every Friday evening. But then one day I collapsed due to an intestinal infestation.
Jesus.
Oh my
And? What else happened? Did you stop eating it?
@@maritoh.6710 Enquiring minds need to know! I guess they're still alive to tell the tale 🤷♀️
Keep up the great content! I love how whatever culture you go into to cast. You don't disrespect, you embrace it!
"why are you clapping...is it someone's birthday?"...hahahaha GOLD!
I’d try the placenta . It’s odd that it’s not meat ! And I’d try the ant egg salad. I’d be hesitant to pigs blood but I might try a teaspoonful if I was feeling brave . Great review!
The female body grows a new organ during pregnancy which is the Placenta, so Placenta is Organ Meat. His vegan comment was hilarious 😂 but inaccurate because even though nothing died its still an organ.
It's actually not that bad. I used to eat cow placenta, can be a little bit tough, but tasted just like... beef lol.
@@BreydaPereyra it’s actually the fetus’s organ. So people who eat the placenta after they have a child are eating meat with their child’s dna
hi sonny. love your show....that being said this is the literal first time ive gotten nauseous from something you were eating.
I have so much respect for you Sonny 😆 I watch every episode but this one actually made me gag ......
Brilliant and well done and thank you for your work, showing and sharing. London UK.
The background song at 3:46 suspiciously sounds like Zipper by Brock Hampton. You thought we wouldn’t notice but we did
I'm a Thai person, I don't dare to eat and don't want to eat this menu. The food you eat is regionally specific. I respect you very much
I think I will be too afraid to even try raw pig blood. Appreciate how you tried all of these
I have to agree. I am willing to try a lot, but RAW pig blood seems like a great way to get terrible parasitic infections
No sir, buffalo placenta is a no go for me forever. I wouldn’t even try the own placenta of my wife and child. Nope, but sonny I appreciate you showing me this. I would have never imagined lol
I love Thai food, but some of the dishes in this video look so weird that I want to try them out of curiosity. 🙂😊
Ant salad is amazing in bkk some of the restaurants serve them in a copper/gold pot to the table ant soup is the best as well 👌
I agree I’ve always loved wierd food, like balut I absolutely loved it and I had bull testicle soup in Egypt... haha love crazy stuff
Sonny and greatest food gang: I keep wondering how exactly I got addicted to watching your work! I'm retired RN so have the requisite strong stomach for watching but I'm completely picky eater with huge range of NOOOOO way foods, I do love watching you eat them, Also, fave cohosts-- Calvin, Thuyen and Andrew! Stay strong!
i’d gladly try it cooked. i love liver. eating dodgy things like that raw is just asking for disaster
I'm learning that even the young crowds in these counties are scared to eat their own culture exotic foods lol. I'm over here in America so curious to eat these rings 😂
It's not the food that we're afraid of, it's the parasite living inside it.
well, me as a young generation in Thailand.
Another great video 😄👍
Sonny I’ve always wanted your job, but man this episode was hard 😂
Ant eggs are also a common delicacy in Mexico😍 so buttery and delicious
I’ve worked 9-9 for a company taking on every responsibility in upper management. I have not missed a day, worked on every birthday every Saturday missed valuable time with my family. Today I took two hours off due to a severe stomach illness and got a write up and severe backlash from the owners. Life is crazy thanks for reading.
this man's stomach can withstand *anything*
Love Thai food!!! Hopefully I get to see Thailand in few years with my kids
I feel like now he has the strongest immune system ever known to man.!
Till he gets TB or worms, no.
4:55 fresh buffalo blood, meat, bile, and spices that pure love yummi
Thank God they cooked the placenta. I thought he'll eat it raw 🤣
Sonny is so adventurous that even his local tour guide is tasting her first...everything. 🤣
🥵😉
I think we know what Sonny thinks when the ‘local expert’ isn’t around to see out the episode.
What do you mean?
What ?
Huh?
???
Confused.
Gift is the gift that keeps on giving
Gift is so beautiful and sweet, she was a real gift to the show today. And, way to go vegan, Sonny. 😆
Thank you so much😍💞🙏🏻
@@giftgaeureka4151 thank you for taking the time to respond. 😊
I love watching this show thinking to myself "yeah I think I could try that.."
I watched today's show without that thought crossing my mind at all.
of everything shown in this episode, I would only eat the raw buffalo and the any eggs. I've eaten COOKED bison and plenty of raw (cow) meat in my life. I've tasted caviar as well. ant eggs are not much of a stretch.
The polish have a blood soup. Its from ducks blood. Two ducks worth of blood, one whole duck, and family secret, a sliced green apple. That shit is banging. I ate it growing up, loved it, you should try
The ducks blood is cooked for a while though, long enough to basically melt the apple
As a Thai, I would suggested everyone to also have antihelminthic drug after taking such meal. This menu contains harmful bacteria though.
The lady cooks and owners reminds of my Aunties and relatives in Cebu who own and operate their own carinderias (Filipino name for small eateries), ever since Covid I have not seen them, hopefully I can visit again and eat their food again. I wish for good health and safety to these lovely Thai restaurant owners.
Wa na ni balik ang sabawan atbang sotto bai
