It's the only time in the show's history where you can hear a whole track with vocals playing in the background. They did play the tail end of a Stevie instrumental once but that's all I can remember them doing musically. So it was VERY cool when we heard young MJ's voice coming through the TV Screen!
On the episode when they had the party before planning to move to MS, you can hear the song "Movin" by Brass Construction in the background at the end.

That was also harrowing to Penny's sadistic mother mind games. Penny's mother was lucky they didn't have the internet for Penny to give her another the recorder with the tape for her to replay their conversation. Penny did that to remind her how evil she is during her last conversation with her precious daughter. I didn't understand that then but I do now as an adult.
I remember a Good Times Fan saying something like,"That sexy nightgown Jeffrey "bought," for Penny already made me think Jeffrey was creepy even before I ever "met him. You don't buy a sexy nightgown for a damn CHILD! Another Fan replied something like,"I thought I was the only one who thought Jeffrey was creepy. I'm surprised Willona didn't assume he was some kind of creepy pedophile and dump him on the spot! "
