- A few weeks back I reviewed a whole lot of tiny ultraportable watercolor palettes and I said I would bring them out for urban sketching This is the first of series and I brought Magnetic wooden palette out for a test sketch.

I have this one, use it out for plain air, and is great.
I have just ordered one. Will be perfect for Plein Air watercolour sketching. I use minute amounts of pigment. Last time I went sketching I only used the left over paint in my palette. So this will be perfect.
Hi Alice. Well...That looks like a very convenient and easy to use portable palette. Not to mention that it is made of wood and it will last forever. As I"ve have already mentioned on other comments I have almost abandoned sketchbook in favor of clipboards because they are more light weight and more convenient when I'm painting multiple sketches because I don't have to wait for the paper to dry into a sketchbook in order to move to the next. I draw my next sketch while the previous is drying.
That’s my favorite palette for Urban sketching (not that i have many) I find it very portable and convenient. A few days ago painted a flower painting very difficult for me with that small palette. I really really love it

Very creative using the water from your drink :) Great looking wooden palette, but not so practical.
I bought 2 of these on Aliexpress and an even tinier one with just 8 pans more recently. It is quite a well thought of design for a travel palette. I have used mine recently and generally like it.

Super cute pallete and I really like your sketch. This may defeat the purpose of a tiny pallete, but what if you brought something small and lightweight, like a plastic lid from a yogurt container, to use for mixing? This and one extra clip could easily fit in your kit, and it looked like enough room on your board to add this.
