Bond Film: #14
Synopsis:
Agent 007 (Roger Moore) races against time to stop a power-mad industrialist (Christopher Walken) who plots to kill millions in order to corner the world's microchip supply. From the Eiffel Tower to the top of the Golden Gate Bridge, James Bond can't be stopped! - Развлечения
No one has ever ripped a fire axe off the wall better than Max Zorin (aka Cristopher Walken) in real life or cinema.
He was pissed!
The moment he smiled before he plummeted to his death.
Max zorin he is terminated
🪓
How come he never auditioned for So I Married an Axe Murderer? Lol.
Zorin to his pilot: More! More Cowbell! More! Do it!
MORE! MORE POWAAAHHH!!! MORE!!!
.....BABE!
3:09 John Barry, you will always be a masterpiece.
Agreed! I love how Zorin looks so enraged there and then the villain music starts.
This whole sequence is great, no matter what people think about the rest of the movie
The rest of the movie was great too!
The whole movie is a masterpiece. This is an example of one prominent movie critic calling it shit and everybody else conforming to that analysis.
1:23 is actually an impressively-looking stunt. No tricks, just a brutal collision
This soundtrack is perfect
It’s amazing don’t think I’ve seen another fight scene with music this good
Gives me chills everytime.
The john barry affect he was a master of his craft
roger moore best bond ever by a street ❤
I love that he laughs before he falls
realllllll baddd mannnn😂
Yeah it shows just how crazy the man was
Zorin and Mayday were some of the best villains of the series
He went out like a G.
Think Walken would have played a fantastic Joker
I've often wondered whether or not that was in the script or did he just improvise it on the spot.
Either way it's GENIUS.
Wonderful exit scene for roger..thank you roger and rest in peace.
Find peace in heaven James Bond💐🪦
When Mr. Walken said "More Power" the first thing I thought of was "More Cowbell"
Who laughs just before they die? No one does psychotic like Walken...👍👍
Ikr and don’t forget the main villain from Tomorrow Never Dies. His pain receptors were reversed so he feels pleasure instead of pain when harmed. That’s why he basically jizzes his pants when he gets stabbed lmao
@@Haven6419He’s not the main villain, he’s the main henchman. Stamper
I love him in True Romance, sitting across from Dennis Hopper: "I'm the anti CHRIST."
What if Will Dafoe did it though who played Green Goblin, but if he played a bond villain in general he would do great I think
@@wallaceandgromitfan he did it for the Bond videogam "Everything or nothing"; actually he is supposed to have been a disciple and friend of Max Zorin :D
3:25 Christopher Walken shows total badassery with that tiny jump and landing, his dance background clear, plus commitment to a most ridiculous scenario...boss!
4:43 And several years later:
Bond: "Ah, yes, Zorin! We've played bridge together! He lost!"
You sure you left enough comments?
Brosons Last actual role was in that everything or nothing was ace
I was thinking about that too, I love that game when I was younger!!
That would've been a classic Bond one liner.
@@commandingjudgedredd1841 - It was from one of the video games.
Such a unique way to rip the axe off the wall.
Only Walken could do that.
@@georgehenderson7783 hahaha! You see him in the ending scene the cemetery of KING OF NEW YORK
@@C_AVATAR
"Hey you" - BLAM
@@georgehenderson7783 hahaha!
One of my favourite James Bond movies ever. And so underrated to.
Roger Moore my favourite James Bond. R.I.P. 😢
Roger Moore is the Bond I grew up with in the late 70’s-early 80’s.
I only saw a few Bond movies but I like both Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan
This is what I miss about James Bond movies. The over the top plots and ridiculous villains.
I think a return to this style should be attempted.
I enjoyed Craig’s tenure overall but I think it’s time to make it like the Moore/Brosnan era again. Put the fun back in Bond.
@@horrorfanandy4647 THANK YOU.
ESPECIALLY in Craig Era!Bond movies
Me too. Cant beat the older films.
Did you…watch No Time to Die? Cos…like…that’s an over the top plot with a very ridiculous villain.
Walken was brilliant in this: totally mad: laughing as he was about to fall.
He laughed because he thought he was getting a hold.
Best thing from the movie.
@@qualityserviceexperts9996 no because he could not believe it.
I read that Walken just corpsed - he found it funny that he was hanging off a fake bridge about to fall onto some mattresses - and the director kept it because it fit the character.
Amazing score amazing villain roger was abit old that’s it no idea why it’s hated so much I love this one
He was laughing at the old man shouting "Maaax Maaaax" 😂
MAAAAAAAXXX! MAAAAAAAX 😂😂😂😂😂
this is the best explanation by far
Wasn’t that his father? I think he laughed at him for showing affection and care.
Dr Mortimer created Zorin in a lab petri dish bill gates vaccine and Sir Roger more mocked him about it before defected@@masterofallthelakesintown2472
As a huge bond fan, this is probably my favourite set piece.
1:42 “Moo-ah! More Pow-ah!”
Ne-Ne-Ne-Ne-Nayy!
"Go get 'em! GAE-OO!!"
Sounds a bit like Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Get to tha choppaaaa!"
Max Zorin is honestly such an underrated villain everything he does screams mad man even down to how he ripped that fire axe off the wall
especially how he ripped the fire axe lol
He and May Day were the ones who made this film stand out. Not to say the rest of it is bad; it’s still engaging enough. I just think it has a bit much of a been-there-done-that kind of feel. Hell, Zorin’s plan isn’t much different to Goldfinger’s.
@@ryanodonovan9497 Zorin wipes the floor with Goldfinger. He is the most menacing villain in the franchise.
this was an awesome Bond movie. Best bad guy EVER!! Psychotic, unfeeling and greedy. I was literally on the edge of my seat because when this was coming out, they kept saying "Has James Bond Met his Match in the promos. And the Poster was beautiful.
That’s why it’s so bizarre that this movie was rated so low by critics and even elitist Bond fans. It just proves the point never to listen to movie critics because the public knows what a good movie is.
Roger Moore and Tanya Roberts ... R.I.P.
After all the atrocities Zorin commits, it is immensely satisfying hearing him scream in terror as Hell rushes toward him in the form of the waters of San Francisco Bay.
5:06 All that ammunition in the cabinet and Mortimer had to grab a stick of dynamite
Christopher walken is brilliant I love his psychopathic ways . I wonder if he works for the WEF 😂😂
Can’t believe this film is 38 years ago!!!
6:02 I always thought, Zorin was fulla hot air, but this is ridiculous!
Christopher Walken is still the best 007 bad guy. But that's just me.😎✌️✌️
4:39 : "This is not over, BOND !!!"
"C'mon Zorin, you're bearly holding on!"
“Oh no! Silicon Valley has been crushed!”
-Max Zorin in his study when nobody else is around.
Great movie and soundtrack=one of the best in the franchise.
And one of the best villains
I think anything John Barry did for James Bond from 1979 to 1987 was a golden age of scores for the franchise. That includes Moonraker, Octopussy, View to a Kill, and Living Daylights. His work was interrupted in 1977 (Spy Who Loved Me - Marvin Hamlisch) and 1981 (For Your Eyes Only - Bill Conti), neither of which were up to Barry's level for Bond.
‘MAW! MAW POWAH!’ Walken showing the World how it’s spoken in Queens, New York! 😮
More cowbell!
Favourite ever bond fight scene, music is amazing
agree bud its still gives me goosebumps best ending to any bond film hands down the music is from another world ❤
Karma comes around quickly. Instead of paying his employees, he shot them all with an machine gun.
Half an hour later, he falls off a bridge.
Mind you, a relatively painless death compared to what they experienced. But 10 times more humiliating.
@@horrorfanandy4647 Painless??? I reckon he could have survived that......
I mean, in Goldeneye... Alec Treveylan survives a higher fall, on CONCRETE instead of water
@@Firemarioflower Yeah cuz I was gonna say, from that height hitting that water would be like hitting concrete.
@@FiremarioflowerIs it concrete? It's a metal grid supported by cables on the real dish: plants grew under it.
@@Firemarioflower doubtful. Few gave survived that fall from bridge height. Falling all the way from the highest support cables would be impossible, I would think.
Max was so pissed that he couldn't think straight could he? I mean, he could've taken Scarpine's gun instead of the axe.
3:09 I love this tune. It's like a mix of OHMSS and AVTAK
It’s so brilliant, the wailing guitars have a decadence about them that is symbolic of Zorin’s out of control mania, to the point where even his subordinates are falling victim to his lunacy.
@@DeepScreenAnalysis Just like that 👍🏻👍🏻
……Zorin was an enhanced human, he could’ve survived. By all that is Holy they need to revive Zorin while Walken is still alive for James Bond; the Return Of Zorin.
well even if his back and spine didn’t shatter from the impact from hitting the water from falling that height, he would’ve drowned
THE WRATH OF ZORIN!
If Alec Trevelyan can survive that super high fall on a concrete radar platform, Zorin can survive a similar height into the water.
@@Firemarioflower Yeah but Alec's back was broken from the fall which is why he couldn't move when the dish collapsed on-top of him
Zorrin fell into water, so even if he survived that fall his entire body would be shattered and he'd drown.
@@mckenzie.latham91 Exactly because from that height hitting the water would’ve felt like concrete.
The front projection to mimic the upper spans of The Golden Gate Bridge is awesome.
1:31 This is where your plans hits a snag, Zorin!
My favourite James Bond movie, Grace Jones, Christopher Walken and Roger Moore, Patrick Macnee and Duran Duran.
This clip is right on SHED-JULE
Funny how the only thing I remembered from this movie was Zorin's (Christopher Walken) laugh before he dies!
Carl Mortiner being the last villain standing is actually very symbolic because as a Nazi doctor in the death camps he is the reason Max was born psychotic. So Carl watching his greatest creation die and then trying to kill Bond himself is a reminder to the audience that all of the evil happenings in this movie trace back to him, as the real architect of horror. Whether Carl actually loved Max like a son as this implies or simply viewed him as his greatest achievement is up for debate.
miss you..sir. Roger Mooer
Famous last words @5:35: ne ne ne ne ne!
I wonder if Christopher Walken wakes up every day, looks in the mirror, and thinks, "Damn, I'm creepy as a MF."
4:36 Take a dive, Zorin! You need to cool off!
Alternatively, Zorin as he falls goes : "This not over, BOND !!!"
Nothing like a quick dip after a hard day in the mines.
Could he have survived?
@@yrooxrksvi7142 Wanna bet?
He fell 200 hundred feet off a bridge. There is no way he could have survived that
5:23 Sorry, doc! This is where we cut our losses!
This ending was intense.
Stacy still looks perfect like after the fire escape and the mine escape she still looks stunning that’s talent
Watching Zorin trying to grip around a large diameter "pipe" before falling is anxiety inducting. It's one thing when the hero or villain dangles with a firm grip from an object that they may climb up from. A cable span? Impossible. You know death is guaranteed, yet the struggle.
There's a Bond video game where Brosnan mentions "playing bridge" with Zorin. "He lost."
Whenever I think of this movie the first thing that comes to my mind is,
"MAX!!!"
And then the insuing fight between the old geezer and the pilot over the sticks of dynamite before the airship blows up.
one of my favorite bond scenes
Max! Max!
More! More power!
3:07 You're not going anywhere, Scarpine!
This will hurt him more than me.
More! More Power! More!
Do it!!
Great action scene
Rutger Hauer could also have played the part of "Zorin". But when Hauer told them to make a mirror version of 007, the party was canceled.
Thinking about it in my mind, Rutger Hauer as a Bond villain was the greatest thing that never happened.
He would have been phenomenal, and would have fit perfectly both in a Moore film, where he could go over the top, or in a Dalton film where he could create a truly menacing villain. He was such a versatile actor, it’s a shame that never came to be.
@@horrorfanandy4647 I Mean I Like Rutger Hauer Don't Get Me Wrong, But Him Playing A Bond Villain I Agree 💯 With You Was Greatest Thing To Never Happen Truthfully I Just Can't Visualize The Late Rutger Hauer In A Role Like That.
David Bowie turned down the role as was considered and Walken was offered the role of Zorin.
@@scottknode898 Woow! Bowie made a good 007 opponent.
@@rolfagten857 would have but he never actually played a Bond villain but was considered and t for Zorin as wanted to be in Labyrinth instead. Bowie said he wasn’t interested anyway as wasn’t a Bond fan and didn’t like Bond films.
4:34 When Max realized, that he didn´t like a huge pipe in his face...
This is perfect!
Maxxx! Maaaaaxxxxx!!!!
Best Bond villain!
Bring bag Max who survived the fall. Great idea. Walken is still Alive and ready to go.
Max Schreck in *Batman Returns* (1992)
Damn right
How did Bond and Stacey get down from that bridge after Zorin was killed and the balloon destroyed? That's the question as it's never explained.
Pretty sure they have a maintenance ladder in the corridor of the pillar. I don't remember though so I might be thinking of another bridge.
I would just walk down on top of the cables
There's two skeletons still at the top of that bridge. 😭😭
They dived into the massive Olympic pool below them and swam to the finishing line
MI6 sent helicopter
Thanks
Man, Bond lucked out with Stacy.
best music ever by a proverbial distance in any bond film ever made hands down amazing maybe followed by living daylights but that orchestra music is just perfection could listen to it all day ❤
"Theres never a cab when you want one."😄😁
Who keeps a minibar fridge full of banded sticks of dynamite on an airship?
Someone who is a blast
1:25 that bit is my favourite part of the film.
This movie gets a lot of shit but I still find it way better then Quantum Spectre and No Time to Die
Craig doesn’t have a very good track record.
It was a mistake to make James Bond a poor man's Jason Bourne. Hopefully they'll get it right with the next actor/portrayal.
Awesome
5:42
Long live Zorin Industries.
I heard at that point his stocks blown up
More cowbell! I mean, more power!
And the traffic still moving on the bridge after that !
5:37 Boom-voyage, doc! Have a blast!
That old man is a lousy shot 😆🤣
I love you Tanya Roberts.
Zorin my second best Bond Villain after Sanchez
I just noticed the AUTOMATIC WEAPONS in that safe there... all these years watching this scene and he chose dynamite the nut haha
He was probably blinded by rage after witnessing the death of his adopted son/nazi experiment.
Zorin needed more cowbell
Licensed to Knot! Also, “VTAK” features the beautiful Dunsmuir Estate shown in “Phantasm!”
More Powerah!
4:22 I'll take this!
damn stacy kept those looks in that 70s show!
It needs more cowbell !
I like how even Scarpine finds Zorin a bit too psychotic
1:42 more cow bell, we need more😂😂😂
They don't make em like they used to..
大好きなクリストファーウォーケンが敵役になるとは夢にも思わなかったなぁ~😮😂
I guess Zorin must have probably known how that business associate of his must have felt, the one who "dropped out" of his meeting..
Anyone want to speculate on exactly WHY Zorin needed to have multiple sticks of dynamite on his airship? 🤔😄
He thought his plan was the boom
by far and away THE BEST bond ending of ALL bonds ever made and the music? from another world goosebumps ❤
"Neneneneni!!
So two big roles Sting missed out on? I believe they wanted him for Kyle Reese, another great character. But Christopher Walken was brilliant in this.
"Moar moar powa! Moar, do it!!!!"
1:00 hahaha 😂
Well now, Stacey, regarding your question
if Zorin is crazy or not ....
The American Cop who crashes multiple police cars here always reminds me of Andy Scipowiz from NYPD Blue so much . I don't kmow whether he was inspired by a standard stereotype of a newyork or San Francisco patrol cop or captain but he seems very somilar to Dennis Franz's character from NYPD Blue.
If you think about it, it actually did hurt him more than Bond! Lol
Wow. Unbelievable ..wonder how they shot this..😮😮😮😮
