The cost of living in New York has always been higher than the rest of the nation. California is probably second now, but it has never been as bad as New York. Americans are increasingly becoming very health-conscious, and restaurants and food manufacturers are keenly aware of that; hence, the decrease in saltiness and sweetness in our foods ALL across the board. I particularly enjoyed this video because you were comparing Jollibee in the US to the Philippines', something I've always been curious about since I haven't tasted the Philippine version in eons; I'm glad to hear the Jollibee here is not that different. Keep up the good work, Jessica, love your videos!
Nah, western food is generally bland for Filipinos. I always eat at local Dennys here at PH, and it actually is bland compared to normal Pinoy foods or even pancake house for comparison.
It's good to see Koreans from the Philippines na nagrereview ng taste ng Jollibee in the USA, at gusto ko Rin na may Ph peso price na nakalagay di na kami mahirapan magconvert Ng dollar to PH peso. Hi burger queen bees, I can see in Lia's eyes that she really enjoys in what she is eating at Jollibee and she's amazing. Holding the yum burger with her fingers (kamay-kamay) while munching on it. You know lovely ladies that in every Jollibbe branches in any part of the world is that they adapt to the consumers of the place like in USA is they lessen salt taste for old people to have their meals as well as sweetness for kids. The taste varies and sometimes totally different in any country comparing it to the Philippines. In Europe they use different cheese for their spaghetti as well as meats in which they use local meats for their patties. Salamat Jessica for another informative episode and please be aware of your sorroundings going around big apple city.
I think the reason why is because it's for foreigners who are more accustomed to international tastes, whereas the local Jollibee is still mainly marketed for kids. Still jelly with some of the stuff they sell internationally that NEVER made it locally like the iced fruit beverages and the halo-halo!!! (Please don't get me started on the halo-halo sundae, that's good but an abomination)

I hope Jollibee doesn't neglect the quality of their food here in the Philippines. Many have noticed that the quality has decreased since they have opened their international branches. Many love yumburgers 🤣 because it just taste like classic homey vibes it reminded us of childhood basically (same with jolly spaghetti) and compared to chicken sandwich which is more expensive, yumburger is much cheaper so a lot would go for yumburger than chicken sandwich. Also there's a popular meme about yumburger which is the langhap sarap meme where yumburger havers would open the yumburger in the middle of the bus where everyone else are gonna be craving for it and would be hungry for it, some would even open it directly in the a/c of the bus so that the smell or langhap sarap would really spread throughout the bus 🤣
The chickenjoy here in the US is more bigger but less salty. The jollibee spaghetti, palabok tastes better in the Philippines. The fries here is better and the gravy is somehow the same. The pineapple juice also is a winner here
Because the main market in the Philippines is the working classes who are encourage to come grab a meal on their pay day. In America, you have a more discriminating market spoiled with choices that adhere to higher standards for what is basic and for the masses. So no doubt, their serving sizes will be less oppressive and quality control would be more impressive. But we ❤ Jollibee.

You ladies are so beautiful! Jolibees famous in Philippines though I never went to PH yet, I am in Michigan, there is Jollibees south of me I must try and give them a review because I am a google maps local guide. I never went to N.Y. either but my sister had noved there and married a man there and they have come back here in Michigan and lived here in Michigan many years now. It ooks masarap and the Jollibees mascot I think is famous too! Mabuhay! Sarap!
I rarely try jollibee since there's no jollibee here in Mountain Province. Me and my family mostly eat jollibee in Baguio City which take 6 hours to go there, and we only taste jollibee 2× everytime we go there for Christmas and Vacation. I tried the spaghetti it was delicious, and I tried the chicken, it was not that crispy but it was good. There was no Adobe Rice though. But everytime one of my parents go to a seminar in Baguio, Launion or anywhere far. They bring home spaghetti, with chicken, and yum burger, and also mango pie. These foods traveled 6 hours coming back, and when I tried the spaghetti it was same but we had to heat it up since it was cold. I tried the chicken, it was cold and we had to hit it up a little, and it was not that crispy too and it was salty, I also tried the fries, it was hard and salty but the mango pie was good as always but It is not crunchy. Well its understandable if they're not crispy and they're cold, since we are very far from other cities with jollibee. For my wish today since its my Birthday. I just hope that jollibee will make branches all around the Philippines, not just in cities, but also in some provinces. So we could enjoy jollibee all the time and we don't have to go far. Because they made jollibee in other countries but still haven't made branches all around our country. So I wish that one day, they will make atleats a small branch here in Mountain Province
Jollibee in the US is pretty much a taste of home that'll cost you an arm and a leg 😅. Also NY still have Aloha and Jolly Hotdog? I'm so jealous. In CA: for several years na; no more Aloha, no more Jolly Hotdog, no more pearl coolers, no more burger steak, no more breakfast silogs and no more adobo rice😭
you two lovely ladies just went to my dream travel spot. If I could only go to one city before I die It would be NYC because my mother used to work there as a caregiver for almost 10 years until she got sick and had to go home and died peacefully here in the Philippines. I wanna go to the places that she visited a lot like that subway station in queens as she used to ride it weekly to Manhattan where the Lady she was taking care of was living. the timing of this release is Amazing as it was her Birthday just last week. God, I miss her so much, I remember we used to talk to her while she's waiting for the train in the Subway. someday I will go there and relive her experiences in honor of her memories.
It's really about the quality of produce. The US strictly implements the regulations & standards w/c lacking in the Philippines. Even in the food truck business there, you can expect high-quality food.
I believe the texture of the patties in the US is close to how the patties were back in the late 90s early 2000s in which the meat is more chunky and beefy compared to the ones today.
Corruption in the Philippines has ruin much of its food culture. So perhaps it was better in the 90s and the days when that tiny piece of pickle was not replaced with that mayo dressing for the hamburger.
Everybody loves yumburger in Philippines. Especially when you eat while your riding in an aircon bus geez. You can actually see and hear people's mouth watering.
Memories of my 2014 trip to NY :). Been there at Jollibee Queens with friends. Amazing to see elderly and Filipino crews there. Food serving is large compared to what we have here in PH. Love the spam pandesal sandwich.
Jollibee is my favourite food place, I'm sad because its a 2 hours train journey for me to get to the nearest Jollibee's but I never have time to travel that far. 😞
I remember when i went to USA someone told me to dont convert dollar to peso if i want to enjoyed my trip. I'm just like Jessica and my reaction is also like crazy in every dollar i spent.😂😅
The prices are killing me. I can literally buy a whole bucket of chickenjoy here with a lesser price than that single Aloha Yumburger. godbless being in the motherland
it's actually priced fairly if you consider the minimum wage in NYC is like ten times higher than that of Metro Manila. the price is pretty reasonable.
Don't worry lia, for me, yum burger is also the best!😂😂 Also the quality is better. The price is much more expensive. Skipping the statue 🗽 is sooooo introvert behavior. 😂😂 I'll do that too
PETITION TO HAVE JOLLIBEE STORES IN SoKor! 🇰🇷🤤🇵🇭 Kung in-adopt sa US yung taste preferences natin, soon pag may Korea baka may ramyeon na yung menu hehe why not 🤭 Sana all nakakapagtravel ✈️
hahahaha.. I actually like yum way way way more than a mcdonalds burger... also, even without factoring in the price, I like yum burger more than a whopper jr... so I'm with Lia...
Lia is right. Jollibee philippines now get their tomato products from China. They used to get it from my dad’s company Northern Food Corporation and was produced in Ilocos. Now, McDo gets theirs from NFC and so the taste is closer to what Jollibee’s used to be.
Jollibee fans Lia andJessica, New York is proud of their NY style burgers. You can compare that to Jollibee that's if you both want to try it. If you're going to the park, it's not advisable to go there during night time.
After not having Jollibee for such a loooooooong time, I cannot tell anymore if NY Jollibee is same as in the Philippines. I was just happy to have it so accessible for me in NY. It's yummy to me!
I've always wondered how Jollibee tasted overseas, but I just could not find a video of someone familiar with the Pinoy version reviewing it for some reason. Thanks so much for putting this out haha.
Jess i never pictured you as introvert. Never imagined a gravy sauce dispenser. Finally found a Ph local who tried foreign Jollibee. Also before looking at Maps i found there's locations in Brunei.
I think since it’s in the US, the meat & chicken quality is different (better quality). That’s what I noticed too when I travel outside of the US. Even one of the BTS members said that Korean food in California is much better quality than Korea.
Just love how Lia genuinely loves the yum burger. And I do agree with her where the burger is good in Jollibee but when it comes to spaghetti it’s better to have it with McDonalds.
Two things I love about jolibee back in Philippines was the fries (when it's newly fried) and yumburger. I'm in Bahrain and they have Jolibee here as well, but the yum burger doesn't have the same sauce but somehow still taste like the original I suppose lol. Team Yum unite xD
Mostly if the company gives free meal to the employees, they give yum burger not because it's everyones favorite but because it's cheap. When I attended a seminar in the Philippines and if there is a free meal, they give away yum burger but if the budget is a little bit bigger, they give out chicken joy.

...your a Korean with Pinay heart, Jessica. While abroad, still you seek Philippine Jolibee food chain. We love you, "kabayan"...❤...
The prices are killing me. I can literally buy a whole bucket of chickenjoy here with a lesser price than that single Aloha Yumburger. godbless being in the motherland
Food variety in the us
it's actually priced fairly if you consider the minimum wage in NYC is like ten times higher than that of Metro Manila. the price is pretty reasonable.
@@carloregalado7751 likewise the rent and ingredients and supplies
Ganyan kasi presyuhan sa ny. Kaya may kasabihan na kung ayaw malula sa presyo, wag iconvert ang pera 😂.
In the philippines few people r only chosen to have a thigh part or big part.
Don't worry lia, for me, yum burger is also the best!😂😂
Also the quality is better. The price is much more expensive.
Skipping the statue 🗽 is sooooo introvert behavior. 😂😂 I'll do that too
i miss Lia, i remember binge watching your vlogs cuz of her. lets gooo
PETITION TO HAVE JOLLIBEE STORES IN SoKor! 🇰🇷🤤🇵🇭 Kung in-adopt sa US yung taste preferences natin, soon pag may Korea baka may ramyeon na yung menu hehe why not 🤭 Sana all nakakapagtravel ✈️
if I pass 4000 watch hours and 1000 subs, I will review every single Jollibee branches in Mindanao.
hahahaha.. I actually like yum way way way more than a mcdonalds burger... also, even without factoring in the price, I like yum burger more than a whopper jr... so I'm with Lia...
Lia’s so freeeaaakin cuuutee! I have smiled so much seeing her cuteness overload for the Yum Burger.
NYC Jollibee = Premium ingredients and hence higher cost
PH Jollibee = less premium but the taste that every Pinoy already loves /and knows
Lia is right. Jollibee philippines now get their tomato products from China. They used to get it from my dad’s company Northern Food Corporation and was produced in Ilocos. Now, McDo gets theirs from NFC and so the taste is closer to what Jollibee’s used to be.
Jessica is gorgeous as always but Lia's cuteness and genuine love for Yumburger is such a joy to watch ❤
First time commenting in your video just to say that I'm with Lia ❤, #teamYumburger! 😂
iba talaga mga korean filipino na to ang gagaling mag lasa lalo pag pagkain ng pilipino ah kabisado nila lalo na bulalo at sisig 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Jollibee fans Lia andJessica, New York is proud of their NY style burgers. You can compare that to Jollibee that's if you both want to try it. If you're going to the park, it's not advisable to go there during night time.
I am with Lia here. I like Yum Burger too.
I love Lia - her taste buds is like my 9 yrs old niece
After not having Jollibee for such a loooooooong time, I cannot tell anymore if NY Jollibee is same as in the Philippines. I was just happy to have it so accessible for me in NY. It's yummy to me!
I really love your vlogs you are so respectful and natural
I've always wondered how Jollibee tasted overseas, but I just could not find a video of someone familiar with the Pinoy version reviewing it for some reason. Thanks so much for putting this out haha.
May I ask where did Lia get her plain gold bracelet from? Thank you! Great video Jess!
I'm with Lia. #TeamYumburger
The disrespect to yum burger. There are literally memes of people opening yumburger in UV to trigger people 😂
Jess i never pictured you as introvert. Never imagined a gravy sauce dispenser. Finally found a Ph local who tried foreign Jollibee. Also before looking at Maps i found there's locations in Brunei.
Omg 2mins in the video. And I already love you guys. The vibes😂🙌 #thankyou
Damn your super CUTE Jessica Lee 🤩😚😍😊😘💕❤️💞
Still watching 💪💪💪 February 6, 2o24
I think since it’s in the US, the meat & chicken quality is different (better quality). That’s what I noticed too when I travel outside of the US. Even one of the BTS members said that Korean food in California is much better quality than Korea.
Jollibee is elite like not even just for glazing. It's elite no cappp!
If the US price is several times higher than the Philippine price I will be very surprised if the quality is not several times better as well. 😊
Hi, Jessica! Your videos comfort me everytime. It gives me warmth. You really have the spirit of a Filipino. Please, keep making creating videos!! ❤❤❤
Yes! I agree with Lia. Team McDo spaghetti.
I'm not a fan of burgers, but Yumburger taste different. It's really delicious.
I like Jessica revisit Jollibee again, but it's NYC this time and not Philippines, I wonder how Korean-Americans visits Jollibee (ewan ko ano yun 🙎)
same lia, i like mcdo spag.much better for me. is it strange i love the sourness in it but now it change a little bit.
The lip pointing is so Filipino 8:38
after this vid Jollibee should get Lia to endorse the Yumburger ANYWHERE!😄✌
YEHEY!!!! I saw Lia again! How cute she is!
Lia looks like this girl in a K drama I have seen. It's titled "Forecasting love and weather". She looks like Chae Seo-Eun
Not Lia being so passionate about yum burger😂😭😭
Mostly if the company gives free meal to the employees, they give yum burger not because it's everyones favorite but because it's cheap. When I attended a seminar in the Philippines and if there is a free meal, they give away yum burger but if the budget is a little bit bigger, they give out chicken joy.
Lia’s kawawa looks is classic when first thought there were no yumburger😂
