  • This is my unboxing and initial review of the hcalory HC-A01 diesel heater.
    The Mr. Buddy Buddy Heater has been great but it's time for an upgrade to something safer and a little more practical.

    Hcalory (HC-A01)
    It's a really good product
    I'm using it, too
    It's better to use a converter to combine the discarded waste exhaust heat with a hot water boiler
    There are a lot of videos in my condensate

    Nice vid mate, just got mine the only thing im stuck on is attaching the exhaust does it go on the inside or outside of the housing on the case as seems same size . How are you powering it im hoping to run off a cig lighter on power station.

    • @bargainmodder
      @bargainmodder  9 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching!
      For the exhaust, on the outside of the box, I slide the exhaust pipe inside of the one attached. Try using a screwdriver to hollow it out a little. At around the 5:01 mark in my video, you will see me to it, although it's quick.
      For power, I am running it off of a 12v cigarette style plug on my overland trailer, which has an AGM deep cycle battery, but I'm sure your power station will work just fine.

    I am having a hard time with mine. I bought a plug adapter to tie the positive and negative to the plug, and I blew the 20amp fuse. Jumped in between a 20-30amp fuse, still blows. Removed the plug at the end of the cables and just attached the positive and negative to my car battery. Still blows the fuse. Did you run into this issue?

    • @bargainmodder
      @bargainmodder  9 месяцев назад

      Weird. I did not have this issue at all.
      My recommendation would be to inspect your wires. See if something is causing it to short out. If nothing stands out from what you can see, you could always pop open the heater it's self.
      I know these things seem to be hit or miss on issues. Hope you can get yours figured out soon.

    I've seen other videos that the green hose should be replaced with a thicker white hose

      I have seen those reviews as well. It certainly wouldn't hurt, but I haven't had any issues yet.

    Hi, Thanks for the video. What was the drill bit size for the fuel line hole?

    • @bargainmodder
      @bargainmodder  8 месяцев назад

      My pleasure. Thanks for watching. As far as drill bit, I'm not sure. I guess I should have provided that information. I just started small and worked my way up until it was a tight enough fit to get the threads to bite into the plastic and screw through.

    does this heater comes with 120v plug or 12v socket ? do you have to purchase extra adapter to plug ?

    • @bargainmodder
      @bargainmodder  8 месяцев назад

      It comes with a 12v wire with pig tails to connect to a battery. I purchased a 12v cigarette plug style from Amazon and wired it together so I can plug it into my jeep or overland trailer.

    I purchased this a week ago. However I'm having trouble with leaking when I installed the nozzle into the tank. At first I thought it wasn't tight enough, but it still leaks very slowly after tightening where the line is wet with diesel. Does yours leak by any chance?

    • @bargainmodder
      @bargainmodder  7 месяцев назад

      Mine does not leak at all. Did you make sure the o-ring gaskets are on the inside and outside of the fuel line attachment on the tank?

    • @Rob81818
      @Rob81818 7 месяцев назад

      @@bargainmodder yes i have both the o-ring installed. I also re-tightened and left it overnight, but the line ended up still wet to touch with diesel so there's a small leak coming out. As a last resort, i applied silicone seal around the nozzle outside so we'll see if that works.

    • @bargainmodder
      @bargainmodder  7 месяцев назад

      @RobMascarinas that is odd. Hopefully, your silicone idea works. Best of luck! It's a great little unit.

    Bonjour, pouvez-vous me dire si il est possible de faire fonctionner la valise couchée sur le côté? Pour mettre dans le double plancher d'un camping car qui mesure 20 cm de haut. Merci. Bien cordialement. Philippe.

      Hello. I do not believe the diesel heater can operate on its side.

  • @BeyondWrittenWords
    @BeyondWrittenWords 9 месяцев назад +1

    Exhaust pipe going upwards, many diesel heater videos condemn this, it suppose to results in some carbon cumulation? So would it be better to let the exhaust pipe to run downwards

    • @bargainmodder
      @bargainmodder  9 месяцев назад +1

      Interesting. I'll have to look into that. This model is designed to route it the way I did but that's not to say it's correct lol. Thanks for the input! It's worth assessing.

      Curiosity... why do you say that? They are very common, and there are heat guards through to prevent melting.
