Is this only made for outdoor use? I was hoping to install it in my campervan and vent through the floor
The heat is for indoor. If you are going to run it inside, you MUST run the exhaust outside.
Lights look great! Bronco is coming along nicely.
Thanks!
I bought the lights from Auxbeam and we wired to AUX switch 4 because the research I did AUX 1 is got the most volts or watts going to it so I saved my AUX switch 1 for either a light up on top or on a new bumper. Good video though! You have a new Sub from me!
Yea, I looked at that before we wired it up. I wanted to start on the end switch, so that was part of the reason I went with the one I did. I may end up moving it around at a later time. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
First off, wash your engine bay. Secondly, what’s the deal with the dude at the end?
Lol, yea... i need to. Oh well and I have no idea who that is.
Might be as easy as installing a footman's loop on either side...then run a strap with a cam buckle over the top. On a side note. If you get a chance, think you can take some measurements? This camper is on my short list to buy. I run a Set Power PT45 (dual zone...amazing) and it's just a hair bigger than yours. Curious what the max length, width and height would be to fit. Looks like a bit of room to spare on height...maybe a tad on width. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I am currently working an alternate way of securing the fridge. I'm pending some off-road use before i will publish the video, so that will come mid next month. As for measurements, you have just under 23 inches of depth to play with, about 19.75 inches of height, and 17.25 inches of width to play with. My research led me to the fridge seen in this video but if you find a larger one please share!
Hello, "Bucking Off-Road Adventures" I was analyzing your channel and saw that in your channel have some problem, That's why your channel is not much growing and not getting much engagement, If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. If you tell I can tell these problems. Where can I tell? Here or ig or where?
If you want to discuss further email me
Major upgrading in lighting! Can't ever have too many lights at night!
Man, you have no idea. The inside was SO dark!
I rdered one, but it didnt come with the AC adapter. Can you send me the specs or maybe the part # that came with your heater?
Sorry for the slow response. Mine came with a Model: RT-200FJ, which has an input of 90-132V 50-60Hz, an output of 13V +/- 0.5C at 10A.
@Buckingoffroadadventures thank you! Great video BTW
Great looking wrap! It's just missing some mud 😂😂😂
Never mind, commented too soon 😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
I got mine setup with the jackery. If the unit is not plugged in and on the jackery will sense a low wattage pull below 10 and shut off. I trick it with a lamp plugged in to keep the port active
That's a pretty good idea!
I have the TB2, how do you think they compare vs each other? If you're familiar with the TB2 version that is😎
Thanks for watching and asking. I am familiar with the TB2. It's a very nice packaging. I have the older version with the fuel tank externally mounted. That aside, the one in this video and the TB2 are both 8KW heaters so they have the same I ternals. So it really just comes down to personal preference. I will say that I do like the side exhaust more vice the bottom exiting.
Was the DC output to the heater an off the shelf part or self made?
A mix of both. The heater came with a DC connector pig tail so you can wire it directly to a battery. I purchased the plug off of Amazon and just wired it up.
Nice job on your review!! Not looking at this model but it still has the quality of construction the other units do, no mold, no rot is perfect for a true off road unit. Again well done!!
Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated!
Do you know if the display can be removed and located in a different place? I have the same unit, but I didn't see anything in the instructions regarding that.
How far are you trying to move it?
Lol water crossing? Yeah sure pal. You drove over a puddle. Lol
Creeks mostly, and yes... it's water. Thanks for commenting.
Are you able to run it off DC Cigarette lighter for startup and running ? Would be nice to stay in DC for battery to last longer.
@tallpaull9367 I'm 99% sure you can as it came with the wires to connect the DC cigarette lighter plug. I have not tried it for myself yet though.
@ plugging it in is easy. Some units draw too much voltage and watts for cigarette port, need to be plugged into AC on power station
Appreciate these vids. Hoping to get the 14RKB next year so the more info/tips I can soak up, the better lol
Thanks! If you have any questions specifically let me know and I'll do my best! Definitely more content to come with our ROG!
i just got the vevor 5k all in one setup and my jackery 290 will not power it using the cigarette lighter port.. i went with a heavy duty cigartette lighter port but it will not bring it on.. connect right to a battery and it works flowlessly
That is odd... I have two hcalory 5k heaters and have ran them both on the jachery 290.
@ I got it figured out. I had a blown fuse in the cigarette male adapter. I upgraded it to a 20amp fuse and that fixed my issue. I bought a new battery that is going back to home depot tomorrow
@@NewHopeCutzandLawnCare awesome! I'm glad you got it figured out. I'm sure it was frustrating.
Nice beard! I'm glad to see you and Mike out adventuring!
Thanks! It was a good trip. Maybe one of these times you can join!
*UPDATE* After hitting the trails, I found that the mounting bolts did not work. I'm working a new mounting option and will post a video once finished.
Looks yummy!!!!
@@BrianGib85 of course! 😁
I said the same thing about the ROG’s, almost perfect. The fridge needs to be a cooler style fridge/freezer combo and fit at least a 50L. And then Arctic Turn windows instead of the pop outs they use. For the price, they can work those in.
Definitely snuck over the border!😂
@@StandAloneAdventures 🤣🤷♂️
Use some chalk to help with making template. Rub chalk on those pegs then lay on cardboard, easy to clean off with a wet rag when done
Chalk would have been something good to try. Solid advice!
Having the max fan on and pulling the air out usually takes care of any condensation for us.
I've tried opening it slightly without the fan on and it didn't work. Maybe if I turn it on low it will. I'll give it a try. Thanks!
Loosers. Camping in your mom's back yard lolol
Great setup
Thanks!
Hate I missed this trip. Looks like you guys had a good time!
It was fun. Hate ya didn't make it.
We needed more body heat.
🤣🤣
What is your battery setup? I have regular 12BH and it comes with lead acid battery. Only been out once with heat on with no issues so far but I feel the need to upgrade to lithium or LFP or two in the future
Hello! Thanks for watching. We have one lithium battery that does OKAY. I definitely see us getting one or two more over the next year. Until then, we carry a Jackery 290 and Jackery 1000 as backup/reserve power. The one battery alone won't last two full days without some sort of charging. For example, I went on a trip this last weekend for one night. Left the house at 100%. Ran the fridge, lights at night, and the heat and the battery was at 30% by the next morning.
Where did u get ur beefy wire connected to the ciggerette lighter?
Its just the wire it came with and a 12v cigarette lighter connector from Amazon wired up.
Thanks for the review, it sounds like a solid setup!
We enjoy it. Thanks for watching!
Awesome video, I feel your pain on trying to put away the pop-up...they deploy nice and easy but getting them back down is a trick!!
Lol, right! This video was the quickest I've EVER been able to fold it up.
Cool video starting to think about getting a ROG 14 1st question how long have you had your 12? Second question how is the build any issues?
Thanks for watching! We have had our ROG for about 5 mo ths or so. Build quality is outstanding. Any issues that I have experienced have been dealt with with ease as encore customer service had been amazing. Thst being said, no significant issues that were not able to be worked through.
Great video
Thanks!
We’ve had our walkabout original for a couple years and absolutely love it. I used to want a camper but once you go 23zero you don’t go back. I would love to upgrade to this larger bec my only thing is is that the original walkabout is a California king and we would like more room for our family of 4. I’ll never get a tent that’s not blackout again and the quality for these tents are wonderful.
I went with the turbosmart and lived it. Added the k&n CAI and it sounds like a little diesel sometimes.
Nice! I'll have to check the turbosmart one out. I wasn't sure if I'd like it so I went the cheap route. Figured no loss if i hate it.
We've got a little local bronco club if yall are interested. I can send you a link on FB
@Buckingoffroadadventures tbh it sounds good. I'd run that one unless it gives you issues.
Mud flaps will help
@michaeltavis1030 mud flaps is an option but I'm currently assessing what I can put on the trailer it's self to block rocks.
Man, that campsite looks oddly familiar 🤔. Looks like a fun trip! That overlook had a better view this trip it looks like!
Lol, yup! I told everyone I was going to have to tell you that I used it again.
I recognize some of these spots from the TTT videos I've seen. I'm going to make it to one eventually. Working OOT makes it hard to do!
Some of them have definitely been hit in previous TTTs. Thanks for watching and hope ya can make it out sometime!
Nice video I can’t wait to see the full set up out on the trail!
Thanks! Me too! This next weekend should be fun!
Awesome video
Thanks!
Whiz when are you coming out with us?
@@jeepsbeforetime when I find an XJ or 4runner that isn't 5K. I'm trying to find something that runs amazing but is beat so I won't feel bad for beating the tar out of it!
Where does it exactly start/ begin/ entrance? SNP off Woodlawn?
Great video sir, thank you. Im new to overlanding and will be heading off with my wife and dog this fall. I bought a newer Jackery explorer 300 plus just because of this video. I only camp a handful of times and will wait for cooler temps because i refuse to sweat my ass off at night when sleeping and fighting off mosquitoes. My 12V cigarette power cord for jackery will be here tomorrow. Looking forward to testing out the new HCalory diesel heater with it and preparing for some fall camping out of the new RTT on bed of my truck.
Awesome! I hope you have a great time with the wife and dog. You're right, the summer heat can get pretty brutal and makes things all around less enjoyable while camping. Thanks for watching!
Used mine this past weekend! Loved it!!! Worked perfectly at 9200ft
Awesome! It's a solid piece of gear!
hey mate, im thinking to get a similar tent. can you pack it away with bedding inside?
@TheDrays83 some bedding, yes. We put a queen-size blanket and a fleece blanke in there.
Awesome we cannot wait to see what this season holds!!!!
Nice rides!
Thanks!
I thought Jerry did at least 15 amp hours for start up and shut down. I thought those Jackery only have like a 10 amp power start up.
I'd have to read up on the specs to confirm. All I know is that it's worked many times without issue.
@@Buckingoffroadadventures My Vevor diesel heater is rated for a max of 15 amps, it probably only has a chance of hitting 15 amps when the glow plug is on when you first start it. If your heater never tripped the Jackerys 12v then it never went passed 10 amps.
Curious why you chose to nutsert the tracks to the floor vs welding them in place.
Thanks for asking. I chose to go that route simply so I would have the ability to remove it if needed.
Do you think this tent would work for 2 adults and five children? Thanks.
If you have very small children, possibly. I probably would not recommend though. My family of 4 fit with plenty of room, maybe space for one more (5 total people). For reference, the sleeping area is about the size of a California king bed.
How has this been holding up for you? Need to get me one for a cross country trip.
Great! My only complaint with is is the lid.
Great! Only complaint with it is the lid.
