What an unbelievably, incredibly interesting dude. Ive loved his music for years and didn't realise he did the artwork for his own album covers. What a total fucking legend.
One of the electronic trailblazers of that era, along with Mr.Oizo and most of the French artists that inspired the path that followed. Hard to believe that a guy whose audio production and sonic landscape was leaps and bounds beyond everything else across all music production, was treating it as something on the side. Now i understand audio production and many of the methods of achieving certain sonics, i can see that once you know how, its kind of easier, but the fact is they had the knowledge and pushed it to create something we never heard before. All without info from the internet like we have today freely. From that, they were able to provide wild landscapes, but the beats always hit harder than anything else before, while keeping some sort of groove that kept it in the dance music realm. They are pioneers whose work i always reference.
Dude is an absolute genius, his style across all mediums is unique which is unique in and of it self. A true underrated master, if more people knew of him he’d be a recognized mastermind
