Hey everyone! Just to clarify, PWNAGE has already replaced the Platinum version I mentioned in this video with the Platinum SUPERCHARGED. This versions is the "true V2" that has all the improvements of the BLG Stormbreaker, but with an updated main-board that supports 8K polling, has better power optimizations and a bunch of other features. If you're interested in getting a Stormbreaker I'd get the SUPERCHARGED version as that's the top-of the line unit that PWNAGE has right now! You can learn more about it here: x.com/PwnageOfficial/status/1827044112740102551 Apologies for not mentioning the updated version in this in this review, I had finalized the video well before the announcement went live.
Glad you enjoyed all improvements Melon 👏 just a few things the BLG isn't a V2, the V2 Platinum, that just released, has 8k polling wireless + wired, increased battery performance, web app compatibility BUT it needed a new MCU structure to support all this. Th BLG is as far as gen1 could go essentially.
It's a shame. I just got the BLG Stormbreaker a couple of months ago. Would have been nice to wait a minute to get the V2 with improved battery life AND 8k polling. I guess it's still better than the predecessors before it
A lot of people have been echoing a similar sentiment. On the plus side though as of the Platinum 8k that should be the last "updated" version for a while. I think the only thing that might change on a newer version would be the jump from the 3395 to the 3950.
You can place it anywhere you want! It's installed on a slider rail so it can go pretty much anywhere you want. The reason it looks limited is because when the screws aren't tightened the ribbon cable will force the sensor back into its stock position. It seems a little limited from my footage, in hindsight, I probably should have disconnected the cable so it didn't do that. But regardless rest assured the sensor is fully customizable :)
@@mel0nFPS Wow awesome. I'll be picking up the platinum stormbreaker then because it's one of the best mice I have ever seen. But in my opinion the BLG one looks like utter trash but again it's only my opinion
@@pricetag_jawger5197 If you're going to pick up the Platinum be sure to get the 8k version that released a week or so! It has the same upgrades as the BLG but with 8k polling, web based software and some other advantages! x.com/PwnageOfficial/status/1827044112740102551
Its a good mouse on paper, no doubt the sensor stuff would be great to try but with budget options just wiping the floor with more premium options (in my opinion), its a pass from me.
That's fair. It's hard to justify spending so much money to try out an adjustable sensor where you can spend that money and get like four budget mice that have great performance. Maybe in the future will see someone make like a more budget- oriented entry price for an adjustable sensor so people can try it out. That'd be something cool to see!
I believe its still powered by the battery, but the voltage from the charger is more than the mouse can use so it evens out in away. Not 100% sure though.
You can cover them with thick grip-tape to make the sides flat. The included grips do a good job of this but aftermarkets like the X-RayPad Gecko's 2.0 are much better for this.
@@mel0nFPS i know but i thats alters the shape and premium feeling of the material. the slits are just braindead compared to honeycomp or anything that doesnt let your fingers slide in it
There is actually another version now, the platinum has been upgraded to another version that supports 8k + has all the improvements from the BLG edition. So if you're looking to pick on up I'd check the updated 8K platinum!
Unfortunately, I bought one too. How long did your battery last? I used it at 250 and 500Hz, and it was completely drained in 4-5 days. I think the battery performance is terrible, and I'm going to return it.
Hey, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues. My battery on 1k polling is around 3-4 days. I'd recommend reaching out to PWNAGE and see if you can RMA the unit or return it and get the 8K version as it has MUCH better battery life. I also know that PWNAGE was offering people to purchase just the PCB for the new 8K version so you can replace the PCB in the older models, you can consider that option too. Hope that helps!
Differing levels of surface area. I use dot skates all the time so I'm very sensitive to non-balanced skates, like the ones here on the Stormbreaker. This won't be an issue for 99% of people.

Great review as always man, B roll has been on point this vid too🤙.
Another great mouse and review!!
Fantastic review, would love to see you do one for the Sword X. subbed.
Appreciate the sub! I've been eyeing the Sword X myself, I'll definitely cover it if I can!

I wish the stormbreaker sensor adjustability had more customisability on how much you can move it, seems kind of limited

When plugged in, is it still powered from the battery or is it bypassed?

why they didnt fix the weird slits in the sides thats so bad for gripping them stable..

I love my V1. I just think there are enough improvements to spend another $150 on an upgrade for a v2

what do you mean by "unbalanced skates"?
