You broke the golden rule, always loosen the oil filler cap before you remove the sump plug. I know I know, it’s hand tight, but not everyone’s will be. It’s very difficult to correctly refill a bike upside down. 🤣
1) Remove the oil filler cap FIRST , as this helps get rid of the oil /drain faster!! 2) After the oil was drained out, why didn't you remove the bowl, you don't need it when you are getting the torque settings right!!

Over filled it as it takes 0.9 ltrs....1.1 after a rebuild.
It’s there plain as day in the handbook and always cross reference the sight glass
I also change the oil every year and every 2 years major maintenance 👍✌

Since I was. born in the 60's I did this WITHOUT gloves.
User manuell says 0.9 liter 10w30,..you say 1l. 10w40..
Monkey bike takes 900ml of oil
Lower is 900mls and upper 1.1ltr according to honda 👍
