Wow the 13 tips really helped me visual some issues we have in our home! I had worked with an interior designer years ago and she asked us to paint some shelving black on either side of a birch door. She said not to paint the door but she did say to paint the moulding around the door black(which we never did do the moulding). We did do the shelves and they look great. After watching your tips it was so obvious that we need to get the moulding painted! Your tip on the same color paint around the room on the moulding and on the skirting boards. Thank-you so much this was awesome. Yes, more tips going forward would be great!
I am already on board with all of your tips! A well decorated, tidy home is my happy place. Lighting. Lighting is SO IMPORTANT to me. Ghastly bright or mismatched lighting can literally bring me to tears! 😉
Couldn’t agree more! I never really gave it much thought until our new home - my husband went on a rampage switching all the bulbs out and it truly makes a huge difference!
Yep. A new trend is the "minimalist lifestyle." Living by bare bones. A way to not only cut many expenses but also to save money which will grow wealth. But is this good for you? As I told my own subscribers, I contend that instead of having an existence of "minimalism," living in a shack and a sleeping bag, you should adopt the mindset instead. In other words, you don't have to deprive yourself and suffer to have the minimalist mindset which will give you money to invest. The minimalist mindset person will buy only what he needs. He won't go in the winter without a coat but will by the cheapest one that does the job--not the designer label. He won't buy a 50K car when he makes 80K a year. He'll buy the 15K Honda Civic used one and save money on a lesser car payment, insurance and gas. He doesn't go to TGI Friday's every week--he goes once a month and grills at home the other three weeks. He brings his coffee from home and doesn't spend 4 bucks twice a day at Starbucks down the street from his office. See the point? You don't have to live like a monk. The minimalist mindset just cuts down on the unnecessary. If you do this you will find that not only do financial problems disappear but you will grow a ton of assets on the side. Hope this helps someone out there---Charles
Charles, well stated! Hopefully, others will read your message and grow their wealth and future. By the way, my spouse and I apply that strategy; it's quite freeing and contributes to independent wealth! 😊👍
Great one as always! I’m here for ALL of ur tips, especially the keeping things tidy, clean and “taking care of ur stuff”. Something so simple yet so impactful. It shows how every tip was so well thought! TY once again for a great video! Stay blessed!! 🤎
I LOVE the suggestion of painting the walls and skirtings/architraves (as we call them in the UK!) the same colour. I have always done that stuff gloss white and I am so over it! I'm just about to start building a house and this video gave me so many ideas that I've taken note of. Thank you :)
Great information thank you for sharing with us! In my personal opinion you have one of the best looking homes and style on RUclips I’m also a fan of iluvsarahii’s home and a few others - I also don’t like a lot of stuff/clutter everywhere - and I’ve always decorated my home in neutral tones with minimal accessories hoping to achieve that expensive look without breaking the bank - now I’m thinking about repainting my trim work to match my walls!! Appreciate the inspiration!
Omg Libra Queen! I started following you months ago since seeing your Vigda Ikea curtain track video and I love all your content, style, and most importantly your energy! So not a coincidence we are both Libras ♎️✨
I just found your channel and love it! I’m slowly moving towards modern minimalist in every aspect of our home. Question? I have lots of custom shaker style trim around every window, door and closet. It all matches of course and is bright white. I’m getting ready to have our home painted now that most of the decorating is done. I love your idea of having the trim and walls the same color. So 1. Does this mean baseboards too? 2. Would I want to paint all my custom shaker molding around doors/closets the same on the wall? 3. We have 5” poly wood white shutters throughout the home. Would you also paint the shutters to match the wall or leave them white? Sunburst shutters are expensive and I want to make sure they would look okay blending into the walls and trim. 4. Finally, I love the black front door. I don’t have any windows around the door, but we do have the white shaker molding around the sides and top. Would you suggest painting that black too? It’s a smaller medium size foyer. Thank you SO much your great advice and for the work you put into helping all of us 😊
We painted at home all white about three hrs ago now I wanna go for a little more warm/neutral palate something with a little brown and gray undertones but anyways Sarah love your home
@@rubyoro0 no clue looking now and it soooo hard to choose.... I bought a book of paint swatches but some seem too ruddy.... some too grey.... haven't found the perfect one yet
Your home is so beautiful and calming. Great inspiration. Thank you for sharing. Could you let me know what colour have you used in your walls? Thank you 😊
Sarah, thanks for all the great ideas. I am definitely going to keep my spring decor to the minimum! I will keep in mind all your tips when decorating. Enjoy your evening!
Hi Sarah, your home is so beautiful .... thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. Because of you, we implemented the Ikea media console and Ikea frames into our home. We are thrilled with the modern, clean vibe it has added. I noticed you have new chairs in your kitchenette area. They are so pretty! Would you mind sharing where they are from? Thanks so much :)
I agree with all tips. I love white sofa and white rug but my messy toddler always ruined them with her greasy fingers. I’m tired of yelling at her at all time so I have to pick something more practical than stylish. Not by choice :(
Your stems by the foyer, are they the same ones from before? How long do they last? I am also in Atlanta and thinking about going to check out Cutflowers. They look great!
Hi Miss Sarah, new subscriber and I love your style!! Could you please tell me who makes your bedroom nightstands, also I've had the Studio mcgee olive tree for months and I'm definitely going to put it in another planter! Thanks!
Hi beautiful, I’m fixing to repaint my whole house and I was looking for some ideas. So I rewatched your awesome video! 💫 I have some wood beams that were previously painted by the old owners, do you suggest painting them all the same color as the walls?🤍🤎( we would sand the beams but the ceilings are very high and it’s not a project we want to tackle now🙃)

Sarah, can you post the video on how you painted your bedroom vase with paint and baking soda? I would love to try it to bring texture to my vase.
I will try to remember! It’s equal parts paint + baking soda. Super easy!

Walls are satin (or eggshell) and trim is semi gloss 🖤
