What do you think about these two rooms ? Is it cheap for you or a bit expensive ? 🤔

It's not expensive..but it's lacking much of the comforts of life...living in the Philippines is a big Sacrifice and we can sugar coat it anyway we want but it's not a Good place to live or retire...I live in Mexico..I paid $89,000 usd for a 6 bedroom house that is 3000 SQ Ft..5 bathroom ..and 3 minutes away from the beach by foot .. Gasoline is..90 cents and the weather today is 68 degrees...

No that rent is too much…you can get a better price than that actually P6000pesos is fair enough for a transient like you. Keep looking and pray during your search ..there is more good people than bad ones here in the Philippines…good luck, be safe.

not bad at all if you live from different country and just renting it for vacation but a room only for $178 is too expensive since its too tiny. 5,000 or $100 you will be able to have an apartment with own kitchen and living room. but yeah thank youuuuu for showing us Sam and Arnaud!!!!!

I would rather pay more at Mactan New Town for the convenience, cleanliness, peace of mind and comfort...You've done ur down sizing and sacrifices when you moved from France to Philippines....sometimes you have to choose ur peace and sanitary over trying to save money

Thats why we stay in Mactan Newtown because of all the conveniences 😇

It is not cheap for the Philippines. Trace Martires has rentals for $80 -- $100/mo. and it is an hour S of Manila. Many expats rent very long term and spend their own $ to fix them up to make it to their comfort level. Usually costs maybe $1500 to suit you. -- Cebu is not cheap - it's 2nd biggest city. -- The 2nd one looked furnished nicely but a bit too expensive I think. -- It takes 'a lot' of searching to find the good deals - and - asking locals who usually know where they are. 🤔

Everyone wants to live a Different life...some people can live simply and others need more luxury..I had the Advantage of seeing the Philippines from a different way..I was in the Philippines the Average rent was $35 usd and $5 for a maid or housekeeper...this was for a 2 bedroom house in Cebu in a time maybe there was 30 Foreigner there ..The days of Great location Great Rent and Great Rentals are over in the Philippines...You live in a Country with Brown Out .Low water Pressure and Heat hotter than Hell...so it really makes no difference to pay $179 a month and $200 power bill ..in all my life of 55 years I have never experienced even one brown out in the US ..and for the last 8 years I lived in Mexico my power bill has never been over $65 usd ..in the Philippines you get what you pay for and for $179 a month you don't get much ..but in the Philippines this is normal
