My Ruger LCP Max has 500+ rounds with no malfunctions and the factory 12 round mag allows me a full grip. A great closeup and personal self defense weapon. Thanks for your channel.
I love husband and wives trying out firearms together. Nobody’s out there being an obnoxious know it all. It’s real life learning together. My husband is my coach too
The Glock is superior. Also infinitely upgradable. Love my 43 , 26 , 17 and the 45 36.
It def works great! We also have a 19 and love that too
I have Sigs, Smiths, and Glocks. I can speak intelligently about all 3, and appreciate all 3. Considering the current era we're in- the political climate, crime rate, and especially the need to be able to defend the people and things that make life good, im gonna grab a Glock. I own G19.3, G17.3, G22.3, G23.3 (w/ grip reduction to remove the finger grooves/bumps), G34.4, G27.3, and most recently, a G43x, which is now my EDC. I'm going to install a waistband clip. I'm itching to buy a G42 w/ a Pierce grip extention. The Glock slimline models really have my attention. Ive never owned a .380. I want to check out the G48 as well. I'm also thinking about selling off a lot of my pistols. In the end, I'd keep the G17.3, the 43x, and the G23.3. The 23, I've had some custom work done, and also have bought all the interchangable barrels, mags, etc. A 23 can quickly become a 19 or a 32. Some folks don't realize how backward and forward all the .40 caliber Glocks can be interchanged to 9mm or 357 Sig. Not many pistols have that capability.
I have a G42 and love it.
Nice video husbands and wifes that shoot together stay together also liked that you two escaped New York to gorgeous arizona you have a fan here looking forward to more videos from you two
Welcome to Arizona, I am from Buffalo, NY been here in Tucson for 18 years I will NEVER go back there !
Great follow up. Get her a Staccato C2 she will love it.
Great video great carry for us
42 with pierce grip extensions
Great review.
I agree with her, she handles and shoots G42 better. She just needs more practice. I own one and i love it.
Your supporting hand thumb behind the slide whilst shooting the G42 had me worried though.
(Watched both videos) I don’t have a 380 but am strongly leaning towards the Glock just due to how hard it is to find a good hoster for my Ruger.
she did very good with the G42, ammunition made all the difference too! Great to see ya'll embracing our 2nd A From a lifelong Texan to the both of you, thanks for making this video because it helps the cause to show how important our 2A rights are! Stay safe and God Bless
🙏🏼
I think she made the right choice 👍. Let her know not to ride the slide forward when chambering that first round. Let it sling forward. Nice video
I have both. Let be the 42. The LCP just sucks to shoot lol I have extensions for both. They do serve a purpose.
Hope you get a chance to try an LCP MAX.
Regardless of the gun, practice practice practice.
I Just bought a Glock 42 today. I got a Ruger security 380 a few months ago but my wife decided she wanted to try it out and I got informed that I should find something else. I am not mad about even though it was easier to rack and held more rounds and had a better sight picture it was a little on the heavy slide and a little thick to CC .
I’ve had both guns you have and let me share my experience with both. The LCP is a great gun for sticking in your pocket and always being armed. The flat baseplate with the 6 round mag is the way to go, or the 7 rounders you’ve been using. With your wife, she shoots both well but the G42 better. The G42 is all of 4oz heavier loaded vs the LCP. Put a Pearce plus 1 magazine extension on the Glock you’ll get 7 rounds with this and it will feel like a totally different gun for both you and your wife. The G42 is a well made gun, the Ruger is not a bad but Glock is just better overall, plus the aftermarket is loaded for Glock pistols, holsters, sights, barrels, grips, you name it. They both make great pocket carry options, I’ve have the G42 since it came out and it’s my carry piece daily. The biggest difference between the two is Glocks reliability, that’s why I trust it. Fun videos and thanks for sharing.
Throw your black rifle coffee t-shirt in the trash. They're anti-2A. Otherwise nice video.
One thing you can try is shooting 90 grain. It has a little less kick than the 95 grain. It might make the ruger a little more manageable. I would definitely not want to carry a gun that I am not comfortable shooting. I feel like I would be less likely to use it or hit my target in a critical situation.
Lcp is 100% a “back up off me” pistol 🤣i love em actually exactly what im grabbing for my secondary myself, definitely gonna have my fiancé try a few different brands of ammo for her g42, it only jams for her. me and range officers have corrected her grip, limp wrist and all, even sent it to glock they didn’t replace anything on it either.. gonna get to the bottom of it though
My LCP2 is a real POS, jam o matic. Going to try aftermarket spring kit that is supposed to correct the FTF issues. I hope it works but I have my doubts.
I also posted on your other post that the new LCP Max is a much better gun than the old LCP>
It has hold open , much better sights and a great trigger.
You keep the LCP and get her the LCP Max.
trash
I have big hands as well, small side arms are tough to manipulate. I really liked the Glock 42x with an extended mag plate. If you keep having issues try polishing the feed ramp. As far as failure to fire squib loads happen with "inexpensive" rounds or reloads.
After the new AMMO it ran great- i will def keep that in mind though!
@@BVCTactical I don't know a ton about firearms because I live in Commiefornia. I won't know how to behave if I move to a free state lol
Beautiful area of the country - looks like a city below surrounded by hills - where is it, Phoenix?
The Limp Wrist 🤣😂😅
My wife and I both like to shoot I took her to the gun store let her hold just about every pistol they had in stock and then let her pick 3 we rented them and went to their range what we both found is she likes and shots full size and compact very well but subcompact or micro she might as well throw the gun at them . She likes the 17,19,22,23, and can't get along with the 42,43,26,27. She good to go with security 9 series but not the lcp series.she told me lcp stood for little crappy pistol . She also carries in a purse but she puts the strap over the opposite shoulder around her upper chest or she will do the fanny pack don't know if the info will help anybody but it's saved me a ton of money
I use the Ruger LCP Max with the 12-round magazines and a rear night sight over the Glock 42. I own both pistols
Glock 42 and lcp max. I have both and they are both great guns. If I want to pocket carry I go lcp max if I want to go deep concealment iwb I go Glock 42. Other than that I carry a shield plus edc. Having said that the max is superior to the original and lcp2. It t holds more rounds and is just a little thicker around grip to help manage recoil which is not bad. I’ve shot 800 rounds through the max with no problems at all.
the newer Ruger LCP Max is a big improvement, put the MCARBO upgrades on and it's a different pistol. Mine is the bee's knees.
Travel on the Ruger’s trigger looked excessive for both of you. The Glock surprisingly looked much shorter. As someone who front pocket carries, I would suggest using a good pocket holster, and not risk keys and what not getting near the trigger. Good luck! 👍🏻
The trigger pull is the safety
@@bonesaw8744 interesting. For me that would rule it out as a carry gun, good luck.
The trigger can only activate when “pulled” it’s far from a hair trigger. Pay attention to having a firearm in your pocket and you will be fine. Be careless, uneducated and play to much pocket pool and you get a hole in your leg….
If you can try to carry the gun on you not in your bag or purse , that's the main focus of bad guys on ladies and if some dumb ass grab your bag also got your gun.
I agree 1000% but she loves that damn purse. Told her to keep the lcp in it for that reason🤠
Now I watched you shoot the Glock, and saw your left thumb wrapped around the rear of the slide on your strong hand. Have your thumbs ride forward on the left side of the gun. That’s the proper grip for those small pistols. You must be relatively new to guns, but nothing wrong with that.
You have some good eyes! I was messing around 🤣 trying diff gripping methods.
Failure to lock back would be a deal breaker for me. In a heated situation, is it a misfire or empty? NO TIME FOR EXTRA THOUGHT PROCESS. Stay alert, stay safe.
I agree
LCP Max would be a way better carry for the wife.
She needs to learn not to ride the slide when loading the guns. Also, you should never put a gun in your pocket w/o a pocket holster AND that pocket should not have anything but the gun in it. Some of your gun handling looks unsafe to me. FWIW I’ve owned my LCP for years, hundreds of rounds of all kinds & never a single failure (maybe I lucked out?). Mine is carried w/the 7 round mag & a Hogue grip sleeve to help w/my XLG hands.
Get the LCP
MAX….
🗑️
Glock 42 all day. Slightly heavier, but absorbs the recoil better. Much more accurate gun than the LCP. The LCP doesn’t have a slide lock on the last round, which is a fail.
For sure.. it is awesome!
Get magazines for a LCP 2 and it will lock back. They are the same except the LCP 2 has a notch in them holds the slide back. They are interchangeable.
lcp is a beginner's gun!!! lcp is a cheap old honda civic, and g42 is a newer honda accord. More refined.
Love the g42
LCP MAX is the best deep conceal pocket carry 380….The only double stack micro 380 on the market takes it out of the old Honda Civic class….12+1 gives you 13 rounds in a gun that weighs only 10.6 oz.
Hahaha no such thing as a beginners gun.
No offense but she needs proper instruction. Finger in the trigger guard while checking if empty. Assisting the slide as it goes forward. I sell firearms I hate the lcp.
Those rugers are awful..however the ruger lcp max much better gun for the same value.
the idea comparing Glock to Ruger is a joke
U get what u pay for
It's not a contest. G42 is way better in every way.
I own both. They both have pros and cons.
That glock forty two looks like a sweet gun for a woman
I bet she would hit more with a tad better trigger control, but not bad!
