Thank god someone expressing the feelings of someone who loves our players. I hate this do anything to win mentality. People telling me I can't be emotional and have to use head not heart. Football is all about emotion for the fans. I hated what was done to Ramsdale. Who knows how good he would have been with another season of development.
The best point made in the show today is if we sign Calafiori, Kiwior may no longer get minutes to improve and increase his value.
That said: it may make lots of sense to sell him and to remove future complications in moving him on.

How can we be talking about left back options and not mention Saka!? And HAVERTZ!!!
No elite wingers or strikers in profiles admired by Arteta are currently available at an attractive price. And we appear to only want to sign players now with elite upside that’s obvious and is of good value. Calafiori is precisely such a talent.
Note: Calafiori will further strengthen us in defense, while adding superior athleticism and flexibility overlapping on the left side in initiating our attack!
He will be an awesome addition for years to come!!

Califee seemingly had a lit of other injuries and his minutes last season indicates he broke into team well into season or was used sparingly? Can we not just sign someone bullet proof at lb? Havertz and Rice had excellent availability record and lo n behold they were available. If we sign him I hope his long term health is going to hold up.

The way I see the LB/RB situation is califiori to be similar to BW but on the left and can play either side inverted (zin/BW or Cal/Timber) and be able to manage the balance and not have to play someone like a Partey in the RB position. Then Also backup/rotation for CB pairings/cups and the ability to play a more robust backline w/ both cal and BW or even maybe a more attacking (maybe 3atb again?) backline with both zin and timber on, though I'm not sure how that would play out with their two playstyles, potentially crowding the same spaces.

Kiwior is technically good, but he lacks the athleticism and quickness that would make him top level as an overlapping left back, or as a center back with great recovery speed.
You can’t teach athleticism and speed. You’re born with it, or you’re not. That said, he shouldn’t be sold for peanuts, unless we have immediate plans for the funds!
Brilliant show as per usual maybe its just me but I would love Nico Williams as he is in my opinion the nearest I have seen to a potential Henry.
Califiori is hopefully coming in so that Arteta can start rotating with equal quality so rest Gabriel or Timber/Tommi and play him and then possibly seals LB and Timber rotates with White etc and sell Zinch and Kiwior. The fear however is that it’s due to Gabriel moving to a Saudi club coz Kroenke seeing $ signs. That would be madness though and demonstrate the club isn’t completely dedicated to winning the title.
Elliot! Just wanted to empathise. I have a chow shepherd, 12 years old. For the past two years I've had to carry him up to bed as his legs can't hack the stairs anymore... But equally my lower back can't hack his weight. So you're not the only one!

No he can't. We don't play with a 10, he's not athletic enough or good enough in the final third to be an 8 in this team and he's far too xhaka to be a 6.
He can be an inside fullback but that's it.

Well I’ve sat thru three quarters of the…….what a load of rubbish, particularly from Irish
Love how Arteta ignors the elephant in the room as to why we fell off and didn't win the title or progress against B Munich. in both caseswe were undone by 1 player, david Rata. His errors against Spurs and Chelsea cost us 4 points and the title., in both cases his positioning was poor and he got beat by Mudryk over his head and a coss that nearly went over his head which he pushed back into the box istead of out for a corner and found our goal with in 10 seconds. Against B Munich, he got beat over his head again because of his poor positioning and the ridiculous charging out of his goal towards Gabriel leaving Gabriel with no one to pass to. These are school yard errors that came far to offten. I'm rewatching the season right now and am at the Palace game after Christmas. So far, about 40 percent of the goals he has conceeded are from his errors..
I believe within 2 years we will be looking for a new keeper again.
I don't disagree per se but the Mudryk goal was NOT an error from Raya - it was an absolute fluke that not even the striker was expecting.
He's a good keeper but there's certainly a gulf between him and where Alison/Ederson have been over the last ~6 years, so of course we'll have our eyes open for our potential Alison/Ederson.
@kunimitsune177 it was an error because if he had been better positioned, it would not have gone in. If he had actually meant it, It still would have gone in. Rayas positioning was all wrong, and it happened more than once on both shots and crosses. He was out of position so it was an error.

Love how fans fixate on one player for all the problems Specially with Arsenal's fans. It started with Xhaka. I bet he thanks every day he's out of our club, and thinks he wasted his time here.
Name a gk that doesn't make a mistake in a season. Heck, Bayern's all time legend chucked in his own net against Real. Raya is also a part of the best defense in the league, won golden glove.
The real elephant in the room is we threw far too many blanks in games. And couldn't score against Bayern away when it's was their defense that was weak.
Elliot didnt you learn your lesson twice now? You said we will thrash Man U, you said City will thrash Man U and then the next day you act like you didnt have a terrible take. The honest truth was that keeping Ten Hag was probably the best choice for Man U. If they dont have to play John Oshea at CB n Bissaka at LB im sure they will do a lot better.
