Again, great demo, John! You know, everytime I watch these things and I consider getting something different then my Green Star Elite, I keep looking at all the pluses of the GSE. When I think about how I juice about a gallon every 3 days, but at one time, I never have to stop and tk it apart 2 wash the screen or anything. That thing just keeps on chugging out the juice at high volumes. The juice remains cold during the whole juicing process and the Machine never heats up. Even after running it for a very long time to finish all my juicing, with very very little pulp. And the juice is just amazing. Yeah it's a pain in the butt to clean, but when I look at the yield, the nutrient value and how it literally sucks down the greens when I put them in correctly? It's great . I would like something smaller, lighter and easier to clean of course but since I'm such a massive juicer I continue to stick with my GSE. Of course, if someone gave me a nc800 or the one you just demoed, I'd gladly take it, but at this time of my life I'm afraid I'd be dissatisfied with it. And certainly if I had to pay for it LOL. Thanks again!
Hey SusanElizabeth! :) I have the nc800 and absolutely love it. It is super easy to clean too! The only reason I didn't get the greenstar is I heard it was a pain to clean. But, when/if my omega breaks I think I will try the greenstar after all. Do lemons (acidic) react with the metal augers? Also, about how long does it take you to clean?
Just saw this video today. I am interested in Omega Twn 30 vs the GSE as which is the better of the two for the money and value in your personal opinion. Thanks and looking forward to that video when done!
Would love to see a mostly green juice off (with some cukes, and carrots), with the NC800, and maybe the Green Star twin gear juicer. Put them all in the Juice Thunder Dome ... three juicers enter, one juicer leaves!
Thanks John, and now I know I am truly losing my mind. Because I followed your link, and I not only watched that video, but I also commented on it! Green juice helps dementia, right? :)
is it impossible/not advised to juice things like strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and other berries in the green star juicer? I tried to juice them and the juice came out like a smoothie
In general berries are best eaten fresh or blended. Most juicers have a hard time juicing berries, and most make a "nectar" which is somewhere between a juice and a smoothie.
Cool can't wait. Maybe do a comparison with this Omega TWN30 even though they are not the same style. Thanks for everything you do on all your channel.
I currently have a Breville JE98XL that works great for most fruits, carrots, celery, etc. but not so good with leafy greens as you have pointed out in past videos. I would like to eventually purchase an Omega 8006 for leafy greens. Would you say that most people that are really serious about juicing own two or more types of juicers? Would it be a good idea to purchase an Omega 8006 but still hold onto the Breville for fruits? Thanks.
In the "olden days" before vertical juicers, I would recommend an ejection machine and a horizontal single auger. With the advent of the 2nd generation vertical auger machines, that one machine can take the place of having two machines IMO. See ruclips.net/video/QkUnt-YB2UI/видео.html for a comparison of the two best vertical juicers.
+DiscountJuicers.com Wow, talk about timing! I just stepped out of my local grocery store with a cart loaded of fruits and veggies after watching your videos. Thank you for the info as always, John.
I have the Omega VSJ 843 and absolutely love it! However, you're correct that it doesn't handle wheat grass well and isn't great on leafy greens. I tried juicing wheat grass one time in my VSJ843 and it completely plugged it up. You say that the horizontal juicers do a better job with greens. I know you haven't had much time to experiment with the Omega TWN30..but, so far, does this do as well as the Green Star Elite or do you think the Green Star is superior? Just based on this video, the Omega TWN30 looks MUCH more labor intensive than the VSJ843 and seems like it would take longer to clean. BTW, hearing you say that you try to eat 2 lbs of greens every day has inspired me and I've drastically increased my consumption of veggies & particularly leafy greens (probably by 75 percent) in the past 2 months. So, thank you for the work you do!
For juicing wheatgrass, first try cutting with scissors the wheatgrass into 1/8" pieces and then juice in the VSJ843 and it should work much bettter. Also alternate juicing wheatgrass pieces and celery pieces. The TWN is likely to make a little higher yield than the GSE but also much harder to use. I will soon have a comparison video on this.
I apologize, there is one of me and I cant keep up with responding to every comment. Breville (High Speed) juicers have their own set of pros and cons. IMO they mostly have cons these days. See ruclips.net/video/tEC6ehggcgw/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/eTjJCfVCjPo/видео.html for some of my opinions.
Neat video. I was thinking I wish it was taller so I could fit a taller cup under to catch juice but I guess I could just use a wider bowl. I also wish it would come in black but maybe it will by the time I need to get a new juicer. :) - Heidi
For most people, making a banana strawberry sorbet is a HUGE improvement over what they would otherwise eat.. It actually digested great for me and tasted wonderful!
Thanks for posting about the upgrades. I wish that they also increased the chute feed to NC800/900 level.
yeah, me too :)

I wish there was a way to use the 8006 motor base and convert it to the twin gear rather than having to buy another juicer.

I have the GSE and TWN on the "to do list"..
Thanks John, and now I know I am truly losing my mind. Because I followed your link, and I not only watched that video, but I also commented on it!

John are you going to do a video on the Champion 4000?
yes, I have one here. Just need to film the video when I have some time

Have you made the banana/strawberry sorbet in the NC800? If so, how does it compare to this twin auger? (sorry if I missed it in the video)
IMO the TWN30 makes a "better" in terms of consistency than the NC800. Although they both do it.
Do ship to Canada ?
We only ship to the USA and its territories.

How much waste is there upon cleanup of frozen fruit? ( in the machine)
Compared to other juicers, not a whole lot. The champion juicer leaves more "waste" inside the machine based on my testing.
I wish you would show how do baby's food, for these who have kids and these who have jaws surgery and have to eat a soft diet.
Will add that to the to do list. Any particular juicer? It would work similar to processing frozen fruit and nuts overall.

#1 Juicing Expert!?!?!? WOW! Congrats! There are 7.125 billion people on Earth. So to be #1 or even in the top million is an amazing accolade! lol
Juice off! Juice off! Juice off! Juice off! Juice off! Juice off!
thats on the list :)
John, you crazy rebel, why did you mix acid fruit with sweet fruit in your ice cream?! I'm reporting you to the raw food authorities!
