for a extra 2 and a half minutes you get a better yield! That's not really that much time plus I find juicing to be somewhat calming and relaxing when I'm at home 2 and half minutes is not going to kill me for a better juice with more nutrients
Do you have any scratched and dented ones or ones that fell off the back of a truck, rolled down a hill, slammed against a dumpster but still work? I need one of those. My Juiceman Jr had a early retirement now my 10lbs of carrots don't know what to do with their life. lol
The vsj843 is in my opinion the best all around juicer available...Never mind the stalling with hard veggies...The fact that you spent twice as much time juicing with the TW is pretty telling..
It seems like the twin gear omega is similar to my GSElite. Volume is high and the juicing and clean up time is high also! LOL. Question, what do you feel is the comparison in volume with the Omega NC 800 and the twin gear omega you demonstrated here? Do you plan to do a juice off/clean up time with them also? I am thinking of replacing my GSE with a NC 800 simply to simplify my clean up and juicing time, even tho my GSE produces amazing juice. So clean and the volume is wonderful(which is important for me since our organics are expensive here).
+Susanelizabeth Turner The comparison between the NC800 and the TWN30S would depend on what is being juiced. On carrots, the TWN would likely win. If juicing straight greens, the NC800 would make less foam in the juice, and potentially more yield. Of course clean up time in the NC800 is less than the TWN30S. I will put GSE vs NC800 on my list to film. Here is a video 8004 vs GSE-5000, the 8004 model is very similiar to the GSE-5000. Each of those units have their own set of pros and cons. Yield depending on the specific recipe being juiced.
I would love that comparison as that is what I'm considering. Only because of the cleanup time and the amount of pressure that it takes to push through my carrots. I normally drink 4 eight ounce glasses a day so that's quite a bit of juicing I do every three days. And at times it exhausts me... the whole prep, juicing, clean up. THX, John!
+DiscountJuicers.com I've watched this one since it's the older model. I'm looking forward to the NC 800(or900) comparison with the GSE , if you do one. Thx, John!
That's an impressive yield difference on carrots. How about doing this same thing again, only this time with pineapple to see if the twin-gear still wins on yield. I know it's not supposed to, but only a test can provide the proof.
+Richard Gray In my opinion, the VSJ843 would win in that test. The main fact is that pineapple is really soft and not that fiberous. This type of fruit juices poorly in the Twin Gears as that style machine needs the fiber to push the pulp thru.. It would likely in a juice off that would not easily be finished as the pineapple would clog the TWN30S.

I appreciate your work John.

Great video John! I would love to make purple carrot juice with my Kuvings Bigmouth, but we pretty much only have the regular orange ones here.

What's a good juicer for pineapples? I own the omega J8006
+sara L I would recommend the Omega VSJ843. It juices pineapples the best at this time in my opinion.

Wow! The VSJ843 is so quiet!!!
