    We all Hindus must feel proud of our ancestors and of our hindu identity because it was the decision made by our ancestors to remain hindu , live hindu and die hindu, even after so many atrocities committed on them they keep on fighting over thousand of years , for what??????? ---- to keep their next generation hindu , and what are we doing now ??? Think my hindu brothers think

    • @RamRam-gs1so
      @RamRam-gs1so 6 лет назад +5

      @Rashmi Ranjan Swain it will continue if some ground rules and some bold decisions not taken in time , I think Hinduism is taking some last breaths now , we hindus must be united now , beacuse if we don't fight unitedly now then our hindu identity our culture all will vanished in some coming years ,

    • @RamRam-gs1so
      @RamRam-gs1so 6 лет назад +10

      We should organise national hindu conferences within 4 months to decide about future elections , all should vote a single party , and we should keep on demanding different things from govt, to stop cow slaughter , love jihad, land jihad etc,
      100 crore hindu should unitedly demand hindu rashtra now , it's very important for us ,

    • @RamRam-gs1so
      @RamRam-gs1so 6 лет назад +3

      @Rashmi Ranjan Swain but the reality is that politics have already seperated sikhs,jains,Buddhists ,and recently lingayats, and now they r planning for dalit separation , if we don't break dalit Muslim confederacy , it can be very serious problem for us in coming days ,
      Break dalit Muslim conferacy by educating them about these jihadis at individual level and hindus should break their so called ghatjod at collective levels by doing such things ,-
      1: organise protest for changing the names of places named after brutal Mughals and suggest the name of Valmiki, Ravidas , and Ambedkar , Muslim will oppose it and Dalits will see how they r against them , if names change ,it will b one of success and if don't change then still is a success because Dalits will be educated about these jihadi 's real evil face
      2: educate Dalits how jihadis have committed atrocities on them ,give then examples from past ,how ravidas ,a Dalit was tortured by sikandar lodhi, and i think hindu should make a short film on this subject at least just to educate dalits against jihadis
      3: whenever u find some crime done by a muslim against Dalit ,then make it a international news by regularly protesting for saving dalits from Muslims ,
      All such things will be very beneficial for hindus for bringing back Dalits to their real dharma and breaking dalit Muslim conferacy , we should break it brother otherwise it will prove very unfortunate for the future of Hinduism

      @Rashmi Ranjan Swain only increasing population is not the solution , we r still 100 crore but not united and that's why our identity is in threat , no matter we increase to 200 crore but our problems will remain same as it is today, unless we r not united and educated , what will be the benefit of having more hindus if all will keep on converting into Islam and Christianity , we should demand unitedly for anti population law , only two children should be allowed and if any one violate it , should be put in jail for 5 years and penelty of atleast five lakhs should be put,
      Second we should demand for anti conversion law , and hindu should demand for hindu rashtra that's it , then all our problems will remove but we can only achieve it unitedly so let's unite and demand

    • @RamRam-gs1so
      @RamRam-gs1so 6 лет назад +1

      @Rashmi Ranjan Swain I m not saying for decreasing our population , yes we should keep on increasing but but but even this population keep on converting by Muslims and Christians , I also belong to western up, Meerut , an incident happened recently with my husband , there was a Christian in train giving bribe to hindus of lakhs rupees and criticizing Hinduism for converting them , my husband gave him all answers of his criticism , but he disappeared very fast from there and that's why we r not able to catch him but even in BJP s govt , condition is worse , this is just a single example but actually this is happening all over our country ,
      This is the only time to force govt, to pass anti conversion law and anti population law also , here in gurugram a judge 's family is killed recently by a Christian as they refused ro convert but still we hindus r not protesting ,

    • @vvanamali6286
      @vvanamali6286 6 лет назад +9

      +Vaibhav Kumar, you write, "Pope must apologize for what the missionaries HAVE done". Why the past tense usage? Missionaries are wreaking havoc even as we speak. All of us must educate ourselves and spread the word regarding the sinister Joshua project ( www.scribd.com/document/62474753/Evangelists-Preparing-for-the-Harvest-Tehelka-Expose ) and its ONGOING consequences ( swarajyamag.com/magazine/how-they-are-harvesting-poor-souls-in-rural-bihar-even-using-violence-against-children ).
      Shefali has not mentioned the North-East demographics changes. Here are the data from official records:
      In the North-East, Christians were 0.83% of the population in 1901 and are now 16.94% in 2011; minus Assam and Tripura, the corresponding numbers change from 2.68% to 68.42%. According to official census, Christian population (a) in Arunachal Pradesh rose from 0.79% in 1971 to 30.26% in 2011; (b) in Manipur it was 2% in 1931, 12% in 1951, and 41% now; (c) in Meghalaya it was 6.16% in 1901 and 74.59% in 2011; (d) in Mizoram it was 0.05% in 1901, whereas in 2011 it was 87.16%; (e) in Nagaland the percentage increased from 0.59% in 1901 to 87.93% in 2011.
      This expansion has continued unabated since 1951. The tribal populations of Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland have now become almost entirely Christian. This is hailed as, "a great success story" in the Church literature (see "Witnessing to Christ in North-East India", edited by Marina Ngursangzeli and Michael Biehl (REGNUM EDINBURGH CENTENARY SERIES, Volume 31, Regnum Books International, Oxford Centre for Mission Studies, St Philip and St James Church, 2016).
      For the whole of India, as per the 2011 census, Christians form 2.3% of the population. But this latter number hides the tectonic shifts in the population in that region because the 2.3% number is arrived at by dividing by our huge population. Christian hide behind the 2.3% number to avoid shining the light on the wildly unnatural demographic changes in the North-East.
      From OFFICIAL govt. records, during the period 2001-12, the total foreign contribution to NGOs was 1,03,724 crores; 70% of this money went to Christian NGOs. During 2010-11, 220 million dollars was received by just 6 Christian NGOs. No Christian NGO declares publicly the details of their expenditure. If these NGOs had nothing to hide, they would declare everything publicly and shut the critics up. But they don't. Their silence speaks volumes.
      See the article, "Anti-conversion law must stay: tribal groups" ( www.thehindu.com/news/national/anti-conversion-law-must-stay-tribal-groups/article24301138.ece )

      Couldn't agree more. The Incan King was first forced to convert into Christianity and then burnt alive. In the name of God and religion barbarism was legalized. Its sad that our history books are not well rounded and cover the histories of the world. Most of us don't even know about the witch hunts on their own women folk by the Christians. Yet some on in India Christianity is seen as the face for women empowerment. While in actuality this is a hijacked cult that doesn't really respect their own women. No woman has been legally elected the pope in Vatican, why? There are stories of one woman Pope from around 1000AD, but she had to conceal her identity and dress as a man to be the Pope. Apart from our own history, we have to also be aware of the world history. So no one can ever oppress us again.

      I am a Goan. Half Hindu and half catholic. Allow me to dispel myths spread by those so called religious nationalists who are spreading hate and bigotry in India, presumably on behest of their masters in Rawalpindi and Beijing.
      1. Goan Catholics are not of mixed ancestry. They are 100 percent Indian by descent.
      2. The mixed race Luso Goans are a very small minority, and most of them live in Europe today as fully integrated European citizens. Don't confuse them for Goan Catholics.
      3. I have never met a Goan catholic who considers himself Portuguese. The Portuguese were white Europeans, and no Goan catholic had any cultural similarities with them.
      4. Goan Hindus and Catholics are aware of the horrors of the inquisition. But they both accept that nothing can be gained by beating ourselves up over stuff that happened 300 years ago. The perpetrators and their victims are long dead. There is no one to punish or comfort.
      5. People like Shefali Vaidya have no real concern for the suffering of the long dead victims of the inquisition. These terrible events of the past serve only as propaganda tools to divide and radicalize. While she may be after the political gains that such radicalization offers, the real beneficiaries are our enemies who sit in Rawalpindi and Beijing - for whom there is nothing better than an India that fractures it's unity and integrity on lines of religion

While she may be after the political gains that such radicalization offers, the real beneficiaries are our enemies who sit in Rawalpindi and Beijing - for whom there is nothing better than an India that fractures it's unity and integrity on lines of religion.

    There is one important point to note here. It may not be understood by many Indians but it calls for research. And that is while the Portuguese where Catholics and admittedly where barbaric in their approach. The present wave of proselyting and converting that is going on among the Dalits, Tamil Nadu and North East is mainly funded and backed by various Protestants denominations funded by various US and Europe charities who are in turn backed by very powerful groups. It is important to note that while Catholic and Protestants are both Christians they have virtually very little consensus between them. So it really boils down to who is backed by the money in the present age. While the Catholic church was very powerful politically at the time of the Inquisition (incidentally there were many chapters of Inquisitions all over the world Goa being one of them) at present the Catholic church is losing a lot of followers in Europe where it is based and is not quite as strong as the Protestant movements that are flourishing backed by the US. If we turn our gaze towards the Vatican we may miss out the fact that most present day missionaries in India do not hold any allegiance to the Vatican and the Pope and many even consider him the Anti Christ. This is not to apologise for the crimes of the Vatican but just noting that it is important to understand where the current threat is from. It is also important that our policy makers be more proactive on conducting a census of the current foreign funded NGOs operating in the country and finding whom they are backed by.

      @@smitaswarup7998 Yes actually we did. About the caste system and Sati which is why those evil parts of our society are considered bad and illegal now.
      We should now realize that Abrahamic religions are political ideology that controls people and is not tolerant towards different point of views and has disgusting concepts like "conversions" which gives a person a religious identity. WHY is that? The only thing a person needs is a national identity or a cultural identity. Secularism can't exist by giving people "religious identities" that have its own stupid laws such as "blasphemy" and promotes "god superiority" which is a non-secular exclusive concept.
      Faith is personal and should be pluralistic in nature so that it can accommodate multiple pov without superiority concept. So bring back the dharmic culture of Hindustan that encouraged following different paths to reach whatever definition of god is for you. It includes any god/religious path - such as Jesus or Krishna/ atheist - since there would be no "religious identity".

    The inquisition was a trial of faith that largely affected those who claimed to be Christian in faith. I come from a Chrisitan community that left Goa and moved South into the Konkan coast of Karnataka because of the Inquisition. The migrant community that suffered severe persecution under Tipu Sultan still survives and identifies as Catholics with a unique blend of Gaud Saraswat Brahmin customs, language, food and culture while practicing the Catholic belief of Christianity. There is castism too that is practiced, a reminder of our caste based Hindu ancestry. Yes, the Inquisition was fanatical and everyone knows it including the Catholic Church but to paint this unjust practice as solely affecting people of the Hindu faith and not the freedom and human rights of ALL people including Indian Christians esp when you understand that the Inquisition is a trail of faith for converted Christians to prove that they were not practicing a corruption of it, is pure manipulation to fit into a particular narrative. Shefali who claims to be a GSB, surely does not understand the diversity of the community and India in general but is brainwashed with a one-track Hindutva view of Indian history. It is sad that sponsors like Inox, Mirchi, the Govt. of India, have given her a platform to spew her one-sided perspective of history. Read through the propaganda! We are many religions, beliefs and cultures under one nation. That is the beauty of India.

    Before the Portuguese arrived, Calicut was reported to be larger than Lisbon, and the people of India, even though "heathen," were recognized to possess a complex civilization.
    The Christian missionary enterprise in earnest started with the dogged efforts of Don Henry the Navigator ( 1394-1460), the third son of the king John I of Portugal. Henry was a militant Christian fired with a bitter hatred for infidels. He was obsessed with the idea of reaching and converting Indian, and believed that he had received a command from God for this purpose. He had at his disposal the immense wealth of the Order of Christ of which he was the Grand Master. In 1454 Pope Nicholas V issued a Bull granting to the King of Portugal "the right, total and absolute, to invade, conquer, and subject all the countries which are under rule of the enemies of Christ, Saracens or Pagan...."

In Kerala the Syrian Christians and Knanaya Christians are also taught wrong history by the Colonists. The poor faithfuls still believe they are decanted from Jews and St Thomas. It has been proved that they all got converted by the 15 th centuary and some by the intermarriage between the Arab traders from ancient times. As you have mentioned it is still haunting many of our youth as the Churches still cashing money on “Endogomy “ theories which is alive with non residents.

    I am a Christian. I am not Catholic, I belong to the Orthodox Church, We believe to be the original Indian Church since St Thomas established it in AD 52. No persecution was done as 4 brahmin families converted but tht was consensual. All that changed when the Portuguese arrived. they knew there were christians in Kerala but they were not Catholics. Hence even though we were Christians, we were tortured by them to enter the Catholic fold. Our Church history lives to tell the tale.they didn't spare even the St.Thomas Christians of Kerala, so imagine what happened to Goa. The Vatican must apologise to the Goans as well as to the Indian Orthodox Church.

    There are many ways this could've been dealt with, a battle between two is a battle between two powers, if indians had tried to weaken them aggressively, it would've ended easily. Its always wusses and cowards that cause india to fall in the name of non violence. In the end, we are just talking about people exploiting people, naturally, their way of living livelihood, their identities and inclinations, if indians had seen through it, indians could've easily defeated them. Or if indians had strengthened themselves or took alternative measures in case something went wrong, they should have protected their most important artifacts and treasures at a place of less invasion and a place least predictable for invaders to figure out and most predictable for indians to, some way in which no matter what happens its core matters are not destroyed and can be remade again or be conveyed to people through other means. it would have been india's victory. No point in blaming the others when bharatiyans are at fault. Heart is black are their murthis they say? Their intelligence as blind as tactics they took

      Proof of Inquisition is very much there.... Despite most of it was burnt after it was banned.
      If Portuguese/Spanish church' victims asked dangerously logical questions, they used words from their holy text to de-sensitize their followers about the act of pure evil that they were ready to commit.
      Then they committed the act of evil and treated it as good as it was in the name of faith.
      Practically every convert to these religions had ancestors who suffered from Stockholm syndrome

    • @clobo01
      @clobo01 2 года назад

      @@EashwerIyer Wrong the conversions started much before the inquisition was even started in fact many villages converted much before the inquisition even took place. Now the inquisition was established in Portugal and Goa primarily first for the few Jews who had fled from the Iberian peninsula and voyaged East to the Indian subcontinent in areas under Portuguese control and the Muslims of the previous Bijapur regime who also refused to convert to Catholicism, it later extended to the New converts.
      When you talk about Stockholm syndrome it would mean converts converted by force and later accepted their evil fate which wasn’t the case in-fact if conversions were forceful today’s descendants of those converts would have converted back to their native faith whatever it may have been from the 1830’s when the inquisition ended and the Portuguese empire collapsed and become secular in its colonisation. Yes individual tribunal records were burnt of those that were tried or died but their names and crimes exist in the archives and a research into archival data doesn’t support that the inquisition was meant for those that didn’t convert or for the Hindus has its perceived today.
      Today a lot of what’s written on the inquisition is more on misinformation and having a narrative that is propaganda driven.

    Thanks Shefali for your partially accurate and partially embellished version of Goan inquisitions created specifically to spread discord - your speech beggars belief. There is an old saying - a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Shame on you. I am a theologian, teacher and I am in the 3rd year of my PhD. I specialise in the history of religion. I presume that you read Latin, Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek and can vouch for accuracy of your primary sources. I am also presuming that your secondary sources in your research are esteemed historians. With regards to your introduction on the entry of the Portuguese in Goa, in case you didn't realise, the modus operandi of the human race has always been Veni, Vedi, Veci. If you go back to the bare bones of every community, you will find that conquerors used the same techniques. Should Constantine apologise to the Romans for his choices when he ordered the Chi Rho on every shield? Should Charlemagne apologise to the Avars, Heruls, Gepids for converting them into Christian ? -
    that would be practically the whole of Europe. Should the Umayyads apologise to the Visigoths and the Spanish people for converting the Jews and Christians into Islam? Should her majesty, the queen apologise to the English people because Henry VIII declared himself the supreme head of the church of England and then proceeded to order his people to swear allegiance? Perhaps you believe that Jesus should apologise for existing. The point of your despicable rhetoric clearly is to incite hatred. We have seen through history what hatred has done to the hated. Why would you choose to go down that route and curse yourself? You claim to speak for goans? As a goan, I find you extremely offensive. I would like to end on the very happy note that "Aao Saiba Poltodi venta, Damucha lagnat veta, maga saiba vatt dakoi" originates from my village. You should have sung and translated the entire song to your audience. It is a lovely happy song that I learnt as a child from my grandpa. I will pray for you and that you receive many blessings from God. I must also inform you that although I am Catholic, I love all the people of India, regardless of their caste and creed. My heart breaks for the people of India that they harbour people like you in it. God bless you.

    John Calvin, quoted by William J. Bouwsma, John Calvin, A Sixteenth Century Portrait, p. 192: “When jesus appeared, he acquired possession of the whole world; god has consecrated the entire earth to the end we may inhabit it and live under his reign.” Even lexicographic endeavors are motivated in behalf of jesus. Cf., Sir Monier Williams, Sanskrit English Dictionary. He outspokenly says in the introduction that the work was compiled with “the main object” of missionisation of the Hindu races. He writes how a certain Colonel Boden of the British mercenary troops in India left a munificent bequest with a special object, “most explicitly stated in his will,” “to promote the translation of the ‘scriptures’ into Sanskrit, so as to enable his countrymen to proceed in the conversion (read subversion) of the natives of India to the christian ‘religion’.” Sir Monier-Williams says besides that he personally made the translation of his “sacred scriptures” into Sanskrit the chief aim of his career as a professor of the Vedic language (pp.ix, xi).

The gullible mass by then has lost the connecting roots to its culture,stands exposed amidst the pack of wolves seperated from its herd.
