Nice review! I met up with Jeff a few weeks ago to see this car and it really does have a nice spec. As a T owner myself I learned from this video about the 1lb of boost pressure in Sport, thanks for that? I can hear more spool but didnt know the stats.
I’d love to see Porsche develop a 912, engine from Cayman S in the 911 priced 1/2 between the two, manual only, no options. I think 1/2 way between the two would be $92,550. Hell, since it would be designed as an every day driver and not a track car, run Michelin Pilot Sport All-Seasons. Anyone?
Sorry Tommy, but all of this “like a GT3 talk” only comes from people who have either never driven a GT3 or can’t afford one. A 911T is NOTHING like a GT3. I have a 992 Carrera S and recently went for a drive in a new friends 991.2 GT3 in the mountains above Phoenix. The difference in driving dynamics is night and day and and I have only about 40 hours of track experience. All I’m saying is in the Porsche community, be careful telling everyone your “options” or “mods” are the same as a GT3 unless you are completely sure lest or you’ll get flamed to death. Keep up the P-car videos, I’m really enjoying them!
Thanks for the note! The options Jeff spelled out are indeed shared with the GT3. In this case, also, it’s not about being able to afford one. It’s about the convenience of being able to drive a fun car with the whole family :)
The T does feature options that were only available on GT3 or GT3RS such as Lightweight glass, Bucket seats, Fabric door pulls, RAS (Rear Active Steering), reduced sound deadening. Matt Farah has a great video driving the T back to back with a GT3 - based on his thoughts the driving experience is definitely not night and day. The GT3 is a special car with much greater capabilities, the T is a great all around sports car especially if you have kids.
All they're doing is paying for these Carerra T Promotional videos so that people get "crazy" about an "Entry Level" 911 and forget the Insane price increases on all 911's across the board. Porsche's are no longer worth the money. They used to be only a few years ago. You could get a really nice used Turbo S for $130k and a New one for $200-214k now only a few years later New Turbo S is 300k and over. They have had around a 33% price increase. Stop buying Porsches. They also are killing the "shortage of being able to get a Porsche for all it's worth. They aren't producing as many cars for the demand and they are Price Gouging their customers. Let the Porsches sit and the prices will get reasonable again. I was going to buy a Loaded 911 Turbo S & a Cayenne Turbo GT but then the price increase happened. They aren't worth it.
@@TommyLGarage right but I can buy a low mileage C6 or C7 Corvette and have it tuned and re do the interior and blow the Porsche away. For less than half the cost. And yes Porsche is a better built and more refined car I've owned 3... but they are overpriced by 30%
I know you now have your own Carrera T which you like better than your old M3 , but have you driven a new G 80 and what do you think about that car compared to the 911 T?
I have that shirt, they need to redo it without the dead pedal. they know who they are :) A girl at a register asked: "what does the Lego thing mean?" I coded out cold start on my M3 because it sounded horrible, then Porsche does this, that turbo whistle would make me smile every time.
991.2 the gem in the rough, only to be remembered after its gone
True !
Stunning green colour on that 991.2. Lovely car!
I agree!
@@TommyLGarage what color / product is the wrap? I've been looking for a similar look.

very bad wrap , looks very bad
Definitely
Such a beautiful car. Love the midnight green. Nick Murray would love this color.
Lovely color for sure. Not bright enough for Nick :)
Nick has killed two 911 991s...Getting this green Carrera T beauty would be the hat trick.
I know you now have your own Carrera T which you like better than your old M3 , but have you driven a new G 80 and what do you think about that car compared to the 911 T?
Yes. I can’t stand the look of the G80 no matter how amazing it is to drive.

APR. $2500

Those burbles are so annoying.
They can be disabled
So what is the difference from 991 T vs 991,2 T?
There is no .1 T only .2
