You are finding elena weird bcoz stefan without humanity was not shown properly. He showed humanity too many times during that time whereas elena without humanity is first perfect representation of what actual no humanity means.

caroline isn't much older than elena like a year so they are a pretty even match if it's damon or stefan against caroline or elena damon or stefan should win because they are much older elena already knows how to fight more than caroline because alaric was helping her be trained as a vampire hunter whilst caroline had no fighting experience before so yeah, i would say elena actually had a bit of an upper hand or they are about even a year really isn't much lol

As Rose told Damon, after a few centuries the humanity switch loses its effectiveness and practically doesn't work anymore. As a vampire, the younger you are the more the switch is effective, but that "separation" fades away after a few centuries until you can't turn it off anymore. Klaus and Katherine are very old, they can't turn it off. My guess is that since vampire abilities get stronger with time, their emotions do it too, and after a few centuries they are too strong to be switched off.

Imo Nina played a " No-emotion " vampire better than all of them. I always questioned the different versions of each actor and I always found some part that exhibited emotional behavior. Her? Naw, she's just gone.

If Elena had turned off her "older" humanity as a vampire, that is, she was not a neo vampire with experience and strength of vampire "aging", she would have been terrible she would have seriously hurt everyone. This is typical of characters that are too good but if they turn bad they are badder than the bad guys who always have been.
Klaus might have sent minions after Tyler. If Klaus had more important stuff to do then he wouldn't be trying to keep Tyler away from mystic falls. I thought it was unfair how Klaus had targeted Tyler when Stefan, Damon, Elena and bonnie were just as much to blame because they too have betrayed him repeatedly.

I like Elena without humanity she is no longer dramatic, and above all she has no inhibitions, she says what she thinks, she is more true exactly like Stefan, but I would have liked that with humanity access Elena confront Caroline not at this level of killing herself but I loved that finally Elena if she said something about her putting herself in his life and being nosy with warm humanity it would have been ideal.
