    I currently own this guitar - I have owned custom shops from pretty much every single brand you can imagine, I have owned guitars well over 4,000 dollars.
    This guitar beats all of them in terms of tone, playability and tuning stability. The guitar is gig ready right out of the box.

    I'm so tempted. I have the California Classic (in blue finish) and it's one of my favorite guitars because I love the tones. I also have a PT Special (in purple) and I love that one too with its warm sounding P90 in the neck. This PT Classic ticks all the boxes for me and I'm afraid I won't be able to stand the temptation.

    What's awesome is knowing that ESP owns Schecter so if it's a MIJ build then it was built most likely at the same factories as ESP/Edwards/Navigator.

    • @dreammachine86
      @dreammachine86 7 месяцев назад +1

      Would've thought that would be the case but having a look at this on the Schecter website, it says their 2 MIJ models are made at the Fujigen factory that also makes all the Ibanez Prestige stuff. It's cool that Schecter actually mention the factory and give it some praise. I have an Ibanez Prestige AZ atm but I prefer slimmer necks so I'd love to try the Schecter MIJ models one day. They don't have necks as slim as their ultra-slim C shape they use on the lower models but the specs clearly show them to be a little slimmer than the AZs. Also think I'd find the 14" radius more comfortable than the 12" on the AZ.

      @@SchecterGuitarTV those are close, but they lack the modern carves you see in the PT special and have limited finish options. If you combine the features of the PT special and jack fowler sig in a T shaped guitar, you'd fill the gap in the current market for a modern T.

    I do love the profile and feel of my Schecter necks. Did Fluff happen to mention the finish on the back of the neck? The specs don't mention if it's gloss or satin varnish or unfinished. Shame it's a maple cap with maple veneer, maybe I'm way off but it seems like for list price of $3300 and street of $2300 it shouldn't be a veneer.

    • @dougboal7425
      @dougboal7425 5 месяцев назад

      I don't think it's a maple veneer because of the arched top. Guitars with veneer tops tend to have flatter bodies and less dramatic curves. The website describes the top as a maple cap with no mention of veneer.

      @@StupidGuitar if you want MIJ FGN exists too and will run you about the same as a Ibby "premium" tier build. Plus those buttery frets, FGN makes fretwork that all else is measured against (for good reasons). "Expert" tier FGN can run 1800 USD to ridiculous custom shop prices for ridiculous custom shop quality axes.

  • @thomastucker5686
    @thomastucker5686 5 месяцев назад

    The price seems extreme for a Diamond Series guitar. The weight seems too much also. Where a guitar is made says nothing about the quality. Japan isn't special. I returned 3 2023 guitars made by Fender Japan, because the fretwork was so bad and one neck had dirt in the finish. The Japan myth is just ridiculous. The guitar company determines the quality of the instrument, not the crafters just following orders. If a guitar company building guitars in China, tells the guitar manufacturer to make top quality instruments, the Chinese workers will make perfect guitars. If the same company tell the Chinese companies where to cut corners, those instruments will be built. US guitar makers do turn out stinkers, if they choose, like Gibson did in 2011-13 and Fender lately. I am an ambassador for Schecter guitars, however I have a bone to pick with them and my last guitar, which is a Solo ii Blackjack. I actually have more than one bone. I am looking for a guitar company that I play exclusively in the studio and live performance. Schecter is a contender and Fender isn't even in the running.

      Came here to see if anyone posted this. It's a fun fact IMO that their first signature model was Pete Townshend (you misspelled it lol) and it's still going. That's probably the longest running signature model of any guitar made except Les Paul. Check the Eminence Front video - that's my recollection of the first time I really saw/noticed Schecter on Pete's headstocks. I don't know why, because I never got to try one, but I always wanted one of those black teles, and I still don't know to this day if those were full Schecter builds, Schecter necks on Boogie Bodies, or just Schecter necks on Fender bodies. But something about them just grabbed at you differently.
