- They can be little troublemakers, but I would never kill a mouse. When I released some mice I had caught, I made an unexpected discovery. Another little bird in need of help crossed my path, I had no idea what had happened to her.
Also in this video, how to make your own mouse trap, it's the best mouse saving mousetrap for catching them alive, a 100 year old design I learned form my opa (grandpa in dutch). I love him, he would have been 117 years old today :)

This video means a lot to me. A little mouse introduced herself last winter and made it clear that my house was now her house. She was a wonderful quarantine companion, and I’ve been missing her every day for almost a year. She would sit and groom herself on the rug while I read on the couch. 😭🐁 She was simply exquisite.

probably. i mean usually parents pass their love for animals over to their kids.. same for grandparents and grandkids.. my grandfather and my mother love animals and so do i.. i grew up being taught to love animals and we literally have a ton of animals at home and always have when i was growing up..

Tom Cat also makes a very good live trap. I live in a place with very long winters, so when we catch a mouse during the winter we keep them in a tank I set up until the weather warms up and there’s food available outside again, then we take them as far from any houses as possible (ideally at least 2 miles) and let them go someplace near a water source and lots of vegetation and hiding places. Really interesting little creatures 🐭
I also use Tin Cats. I take them to a 3 miles wide park 20 minutes bus ride from home. Much better place than my cramp apartment.

A man with a kind heart! Bless you sir! My Dad was like that too and I learned from him. We had a bunch of rats in my small subdivision. Many neighbours put out poison which killed other animals as well as the rats. I was angry but found out the survivors were now in my yard. I bought two metal traps and worked for a couple of weeks to catch and release each one into the forest near me. Only one got hurt out of all of them but I stilled released it. I’ve never had such a good feeling as I did when they were all safe in the forest. Poisoning is bad because they suffer and because it’s not always a rat that you poison. Had a squirrel in the trap one day and I just let her go back out into my yard. She still hangs out there and is not as frightened of me. It’s a great feeling to have a little friend who listens to you talking to it instead of running away. I’m now an old lady and still helping where I can. Lol🥰❤️🇨🇦

Wild mice yes, domestic mice with vaccinations do not. The most common misconception & stereotype is mice are dirty. This makes domestic mice incredibly hard to rehome, or adopt out

He was well known for his relaxing voice and wholesome demeanor, as well as his incredible oil painting landscapes. In his show he would often talk about his love for nature; he looked after deer, birds, and squirrels (and even brought some baby squirrels on set a number of times while caring for them)

First person that I've ever seen who relocates mice instead of the popular option. Very pretty bird, the robins here have green feathers with red feathers on their breast. Still, you're such a awesome person.
100Tatanisha that guy that does mousetrap Monday relocates them if they’re native species and if they’re invasive he uses a humane poison that’s safe for other animals, then he sets them out as meals for wildlife

When i was a kid we had mice in the garage - we caught them and let them out in a field several miles away.

You can also use a large bowl filled with preferably peanut or sunflower oil when the mouse drops in it gets slippery and can’t get out without help
