Difference is, soaps not designated for wheels strip any wax off of your wheels and they will corrode faster. Dawn dish soap or similar may work but it’s definitely not good for your wheels.
Best shit I found by accident when I was looking for a nail in my tire was LA Awesome Dish Soap. They make a blue and orange color. I used the orange for dishes. You can put just about anything in the sink and let it soak in the soap and it comes out damn near clean before you scrub it. It's a little to no effort cleaner. I got the blue and it seems to work better with grime like after working and washing hands or tools. I had mixed it in a spray bottle. I just went ahead and sprayed my rim which hadn't been cleaned in awhile with all the weather we have had and it brought it to a shine with just a rinse. No scrubbing. Best of all it only costs a damn $1 for a huge bottle.
Good job , to finish off blow it down with compressed air , then perfectly dry , want to clean your engine to perfection , brush down with kerosene and large paint brush , hose down , then blow off with compressed air , a car even 10 years old will still look brand new if this is done annually as it cleans every millimeter of gunk around every nook and cranny .

I only used them cause I bought them in a bundle off of amazon that came with those bucket grates, you know the things you put in the buckets that let the dirt fall to the bottom? This things lol I still use a brush for my actual tires though. I am in the mountains all the time and they take a beating!
Where did you get this? I've seen simular products that do exactly the same thing the red is iron removal from break dust that's what destroys wheels normal cleaning doesn't remove it entirely.

Way to many steps just to clean a mall crawler wheel. I use Auto Magic products. It should only take a couple of minutes to clean a wheel. What a waste of money on a gimmick.
