I think scicraft really shines when its forced into tight constraints. The large projects are very impressive, but often so inaccessible to many players. Creating a constraint such as time that forces your projects down in scale makes your carefully considered efficient solutions far more accessible at the level of complexity the general public can follow
I'd really like to see that idea taken even further, to see you try to shrink your impressive builds to the minimum size. Like, what is the absolute smallest an iron farm can be, and maybe how do the rates compare to the next smallest? Seeing machines stripped down to their bare minimum is really helpful for understanding their core functionality, and of course makes building them more feasible in shorter times

This is gonna work like a guide for me, I usually get burned out when I have a couple farms killed the elder dragon a house beacon and best gear. But here we get like 10 farms per episode that I can use as a guide: what to do in Minecraft.

Late but not 10 farms, more like 2 farms per day but it creates 100X of what a late game farm should

Here's the mobs for a mob cap= zombie villagers, (easy) withers, (dangerous) and shulkers. (Quite easy 1.17)
You say shulkers are a pain. I’m assuming you forgot about shulker breeding in 1.17?
@@rafe99e83 oh yeah, that pain of transporting shulkers is easier now that they can set up 2 shulkers and let them hit on e and the other to get a new shulker
@@figlen4834 the pain of transporting one (you only need 1 shulker) is the same, but you need 70 per person for a mob switch. Easier that zillagers imo
Just make a shulker farm like Cubicmetres, bring one shulker in to start it, and you have all the shulkers you need.

I really badly wanna build a multi item sorter but the server I'm playing on currently runs off of my friend's mac so I'm not allowed lmao
This would be a perfect opportunity to give yourself a challenge. Season 2 should be on bedrock edition.

Does anyone know how they convert the villagers into zombie villagers?? I see a zombie under their villagers, but I'm not familiar with that design and how it works
You need to play on Hard difficulty, otherwise the villager just dies. You put the zombie and villager in the same place the zombie goes to the villager and converts it to a zombie villager.
To cure u throw a potion of weakness on it and feed it a golden apple.

My first thought is that there's a sticky piston under the block the villagers are on, + a trapdoor between that block and the zombie?? Appreciate the reply tho, someone might find those information helpful :)

@@owsawm6837 Each villager has a lever in front of its work station, so I'd bet you're right.
Kdender was streaming, and on his way back from the melon farm to the main base you could see the underside.
Basically, they are just standing on a block that gets retracted down when they want to convert them, and there is a trapdoor to prevent the villager from leaving, and the zombie from getting in.

this is peaceful challenge without the peaceful.
You should do a sped up version of your intro song for the next episode, make it feel like you're in a rush to complete everything quickly.

Scicraft blitz: how much can we farm in a month
Also Scicraft blitz: Sugar cane farm has water line every other block, instead of 2 blocks between water lines.
It's so small detail, but it pains me :D
smh not even in a semi-diagonal pattern with 4 suger cane per water hole

Are you guys going to release the world when this is over? I think it would be a good resource for simple early game farms.
It would be great if it the world were released, would love to tour it once it is done
they covered most of the "simple early game farms" in the first 24 hours. By the end of the month, I assume there will be very few farms on here that could be considered simple or early game.
@@SheffiTB yeah that's true, but if they don't remove these farms it's still a good resource. Plus since they want to farm all renewable items, it'll be convenient to have all those farms in one world.
He said on-stream he was likely planning on releasing a world download at the end.

World record for fastest dragon kill is around 10 minutes for singleplayer, so first day for a whole team is not that surprising.
The "update" style video is nice for this, but having at least some stream clips would be good too. Maybe just a few clips here and there for relevant bits if there's anything interesting.

the duping glitch with anvil is still there in 1.17.1 are you going to dupe wings just to minimise the effort as well as file size
They've actually stated before that they don't like to use general item dupes
The only exception is sand because sand is still not renewable surprisingly.

The dupes for shulker shells and sand we're not general item dupes the sand dupe was a falling block entity dupe, the shell shucker was a entity dupe I think (I don't know about how that one works entirely)
@@CaedmonOS they have shulker boxes fill with shells in a 15 slot llama get them down to half heart then sent them to the end but have a lava source to 'kill' them before entering.
2:41 I've explored such zombie quad iron farms, and i'm pretty sure this needs some modification to work optimally. 1, Put an open trapdoor on the inside of each villager cell to push them slightly toward the center, making sure they're always in range of the zombie. The margins are pretty tight. 2, Run the zombie visibility on a clock. The villagers don't update their "golem last seen" timers in perfect sync, so one of them can summon a golem before the rest are off cooldown and mess everything up. I have settled on 35 seconds blocked, 5 seconds visible, though i'm sure there are even more efficient setups.
I think we can all agree this is a quick and dirty setup for scicraft anyways xD
I'm very positive about the fact that most of the things we saw in today's episode will be replaced entirely by much much more efficient setups as soon as they have the resources and the right schedule to do so.

@@ovencake523 The new iron farms all rely on the same villager holding module repeated over and over with platforms where you spawn the golems and immediately remove them from the villagers' detection box. The thing that changes within all the designs is the zombie/husk/pillager holding cell. Said mob can either be stationary, just like in this scicraft blitz episode, where the zombie is stuck in 1 place, or it can be set in motion via minecart rails (for bigger designs), or a minecart in water streams (for smaller designs). As Enkvadrat said, gnembon uploaded a fun farm episode with a super layout, but you can obviosuly create a custom one experimenting with some rail system arrangements, and obviously, you can do what you want with the killing chamber, even though lava is the best option.
Will you consider putting the vods of your stream on your second channel mr mango?
The vods are at least available on twitch, but it would be nice to get them to youtube too.
Ikall 85 drains a monument in 24 hours. I am confident you can build and use a flying machine within 10 minutes to do the same

hey mr. ilmango, i have an idea to improve the hoglin farm: what if soul campfires were put at the bottom where they fall to increase how quickly they die? this may have already been considered and discarded but just an idea :)
The only issue I can think of is that it would cause more client side lag due to the particles.
judging by the completly full chest i kinda doubt they need more food or leather atm and knowing them they will probably build a much faster farm at some point anyways making small improvements on that one not necessary

@@octoburr426 When I found out how much more damage they do I swapped out all the regular campfires for soul ones in my farms too. It's a great improvement in some farms
It normally does not matter how fast they die, as the mob cap is not going to get even close to beeing full. Either way and like others have sad it, this is just a crude starter farm

Loving this new series. I tried watching scicraft content before but it was way over my head. Being able to watch the peaceful series from the start really helped with understanding more about technical minecraft. Looking forward to watching this series with that knowledge to have a greater understanding and appreciation for what you do.

@@somaannn it’s been an easy game forever, it’s not the team’s intention to genuinely challenge the player. unless that player chooses to make it harder through settings provided, the game is just meant to be convenient, relaxing, and creative. Manipulating mechanics is very creative in my opinion, and they were probably altered in the past due to them being far more efficient at performing their task in game.

Most likely one of the seed utilities that tell you where the slime chunks are located
Tweakeroo (Mod from the same author that made carped as well afaik) has a feature that allows a slime chunk overlay if the seed is known to the mod (seed can be entered to the mod via command). I guess they also use tweakeroo
