I loved this recipe! I am so glad you use your own recipe of mixed spices! So many RUclips cooks use “ taco seasoning “ and it’s awful! You did a great job! I’m going to try this! P.S. frozen green chile tastes better. Because I live in Texas, my supermarkets always have fresh roasted green chile, so I use that.
thank you for dicing an onion right keeping the core on. That is my number 1 beef as a chef for these internet cooks. Im a chef and despise half of these ppl but I love your dessert ideas and your proper techniques. subbed. EDIT you did garlic also? wife material yo EDIT AGAIN LOL salt the onions!!!! it brings out the water and helps them caramelize fast per chef john always salt the onions first so you dont have to at the end
This soup has been our family’s traditional meal for Halloween night. All the babies love it. It’s usually cold out and this makes you feel warm and toasty when you eat it.
That looks delicious! I make something similar, but I add some flour at beginning to make a roux. This makes a thicker soup. Now that I think of it, some people might call this chili. 🤷🏻♂️😁 I call it soup and it’s great on a winter night with homemade cornbread.
Hi Sam Wow looks great 👍😋 I bought some ancho powder the other week after watching your chili recipe Look forward to seeing other recipes you use it in Thank you always
I’ve heard that lightly toasting cumin seems and grinding them yourself is superior to buying previously ground cumin. I’ve done it this way for so long I really don’t remember if it’s better, but it makes me feel like a haute cuisine chef, so I keep doing it. It probably helps a little. Please consider making mulligatawny soup this winter. There are lots of different versions and it typically requires a longer than usual list of ingredients for soup. So, you have a wide path for experimentation to create the ideal SSR version. When I had it in Korea on a business trip it included curry, cream, potatoes, apple and chicken (probably dark meat) and who knows what else. It was delicious. I wish that I had asked for the recipe.
That does sound fancy! I will have to try it sometime. Haha 😆 yes I have the mulligatawny soup on my radar, but I’ll be honest It might be a bit as I am in full-blown holiday recipe mode right now.
That looks so tantalizing! 😋 I have to admit that I use Clubhouse seasoning instead of all the spices in your list. But you are making me think to give your recipe a try.
I will be making this tonight! And I want to buy a Dutch oven soon! What size is this one? I can’t decide between 3.5 and 5.5 but I’m leaning towards the 5.5. 🤔
Looks yummy, but a question.... ibwiuld use ground turkey as I don't eat beef. Can I use chicken broth instead of beef broth? How will it affect the flavor?? I would like to make this soon. Thanks
Yes, you can definitely use chicken broth instead! Beef broth is much richer and I’d even say more deeply flavorful so it won’t be quite as deep in flavor or rich, but I think it will still be excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to make it with chicken broth
Hi Sam- LOVE your recipes! Prob my OCD but....there's usually food stuck to the sides of the pot/bowls..usually the side of the pot/bowl closest to you! Just triggers me thats all. Where have ur adorable kids been?
Thank you! I'll try to remember to scrape the pot better for you. :) The kids kind of run on their own schedule so I don't ever know when they'll show up. 🤣
Ooooh, that looks delicious. I love every component of this dish. Q: I have homemade taco seasoning that uses all the spices you used. Can I use it instead of measuring out all the ingredients in your spice list? If so, how much should I use? Thank you, Sam. I can’t wait to make this. I LOVE soup season!! ✌️❤️
You could use your homemade taco seasoning. It may change the flavor slightly depending on how your seasoning was made. I have close to 3 TBSP of spices total in here, but I without knowing how yours was made I can't say whether you'd need more or less. It would likely be close to the same, but you may want to start with less and add more if needed. :)

This sounds really yummy! I think I'll try your spice blend! Taco packets just don't have enough omph! ❤😂❤

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Your own blend allows you to control the flavor a bit better. I haven't had frozen green chile. I'll have to find some. :)

@@SugarSpunRun Thank you!! It's looks awesome
I really hoped for easier than tacos. Chrinic illness limits my cooking to under 15 mins, total.
Looks good, hoping toake & freeze on a good day
I hope you feel well enough to make this soon! 😊
Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I always say I am gonna make taco soup...then I don't. I am going to give this one a try! It's the perfect weather for it, too❤

Can you please make a brownie cheesecake recipe? I made your apple pie cheesecake yesterday and it was amazing!!
I do have brownie cheesecake bars you could try. :) ruclips.net/video/SuqHcCE17RE/видео.htmlsi=DNnE_Hi2N1kjx7vo
After having watched a couple of your videos, I hit “subscribe” when you didn’t use a packet of taco seasoning
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you for following along! :)
Amazing
Do you have a lasagna soup recipe somewhere? I've always wanted to try one, but if it was yours, I definitely would!
I do have a lasagna soup! ruclips.net/video/AvsmKsgZ6K4/видео.htmlsi=-4ZH_MrFD61mxOVr Let me know how you like it! :)
Taco Chili...so easy and quick
I add a squeeze of lemon juice at the end.
Yum!

☺️ This seems like a chili recipe !
I can definitely see some similarities!

😊
Looks amazing but it's driving me crazy that you're not scraping that huge amount of onion off the inside wall of the pot!😅
Sorry! I hope you love the soup. I think you’ll like it so much, you’ll have to forgive me. 😉
@@SugarSpunRun I'm making it tonight! Your recipes are always wonderful!
I was just getting ready to say that lol my OCD is on overload
Good grief you sound like an implosion 🙄🙄🙄
Can't understand why people get so hung up on minor things and they focus on that on so many you tube videos!
I would add more meat and less beans lol. Meat is the most important thing for me
What type of beef do you use?
I typically use 90=93% lean ground beef.

I hope you love it Laura!
Here's a joke for Sam is it Taco Tuesday? Ha ha ha 🤣 I forgot she's doesn't upload on Tuesday it's Monday through Thursday right?
🤣 I typically put a new video up on Monday and Thursday. :)

I put the bean juices and corn juices in mine......
Lots of salt?
WHERE IS THE CHEESE WOMAN????????????
If I had to guess you can find cheese at the deli counter in your local grocery store. I hope this helps! 😊
@@SugarSpunRun How come you didn't do it on your video woman????????????

This one is 5.5, which is my preference of the 2. :)
