Two things I don't like about this: 1) If Laura was so important to Negan's origins then why wasn't she a more prominent Savior throughout seasons 7 and especially 8? She should've been a lieutenant instead of Regina. But I guess she didn't wanna be a leader? Maybe she was safer at the Sanctuary closer to Negan. She definitely needed more screen time given how important she was after Rick's death. 2) I think the Morales bat theory made more sense and would've been cooler. In Season 1 episodes 2 and 4 Morales uses a baseball bat as his primary weapon against walkers. And since he ended up joining the Saviors then it would've been cool that he offered the bat to Negan as a thank you for saving his life and taking him in. That way upon rewatch we would see Lucille be a part of the show all the way back in season 1 and unbeknownst to Glenn and everyone what that bat would end up doing almost 2 years later.
I think the Morales thing would've been a really cool little twist, especially if the writers had planned it out from the beginning and dropped an easter egg in season 1
I amazed that he’s kept that bat in such good condition all those years and that it hasn’t broke or snapped when hitting walkers or people must be very good wood then
