Dead Kooks Hellhound Surfboard Review // Single Fin Pintail

- What's up guys! In this episode, I review Dead Kooks Hellhound with my friend Anis who found his magic surfboard at Saturdays NYC. Last year, Anis sold all of his mid lengths such as CI Mid, Album Townsend and custom Rob Machado Seaside & Beyond. He's going to share his surf experience and why he even got the backup board in the same dimensions.
Dead Kooks Hellhound is a single fin pintail surfboard. It's got plenty of foam pushed forward, neutral rails, double concave under the back foot and a nice edge to provide positive feel and drive when pushing hard. It provides a great balanced feel under foot with plenty of glide and performance.

Love this conversation about the board and experience! Keep up the good work, Skipper!
Thank you, Jack!!! Much appreciated!
What more do you need for NY/NJ than a log and a single fin pintail
Yep! We just need to get some real waves soon..
Hey Skipper , please leave this post up . Edan from Dead Kooks stole a board from my factory Burleigh Boardmakers on the Gold Coast . He just blocks me so I’m name and shame . I hope you understand as he just hides I want the industry and customers to know .
I’m going to make him pay … I don’t care bout the board but the theiving and hiding I won’t accept …. He had a choice but declined so I’m just posting on his content now
I love the honesty, it was refreshing.
Thanks for watching!
I got him started and my glassing made him popular then ran away with the last board I glassed him took all his photos and posted then totally disappeared
Hell yeahhhh! I have the same board in size 6'8". Love it!!!
Thank you, Jack! It's unreal!
Hey, heading to The Rockaways on 6 September. Not looking too promising, but if you want to come up to Neponsit, drop by for surf and a steak.
I’ll hit u up if I can make it! Thank you for the invite🤙🏼

great interview. thanks skipper and anis
Love your vids! 🤙🏽Curious to know what kind of fins does he ride on these boards?
thanks for watching. I believe he's running it with 8.5" Middy+ - Blue Fade Dead Kooks. I didn't play with other sets but I'm sure it will be also fun to ride it :)
Wow, so cool you got Anis featured on this. Very nice video. thank you
Thank you, Fred!
I have a 7.2 single pin 3 inch thick in the middle .i love it.
Oh wow at :38 on the left hand side of the screen, are those all people surfing in the water?
Yup! It wasn't even maxed out... isn't crowded where you surf? :)
@@SkipperSurfReview haha wow that’s wild! Reminds me of when I was in Canggu. Thankfully not that crowded where I am usually. Maybe on a beautiful Saturday there will be lots of beginners/lessons/rentals but not during the week.
I’ll take one in an 8’0 board looks insane
Thanks for watching!!!
Tough to watch the pumping. That board needs chest high waves at the very least. Head high plus point break would be ideal. Just get a longboard or maybe a glider.
We make the best out of it .. I know I’ve been forcing it but the board does allow it to push it hard. We don’t have chest high waves. The fish would move much better in small waves however if you just wanna ride down the line then this board works fine for it. It’s very personal.
