Peterson got destroyed by Helen Lewis. Helen was all tricks? Bold claim. Care to share when? When she said serotonin makes humans less aggressive and Peterson said.. no that's not right it makes humans less aggressive I know my neurochemistry?
hey Chris. Peterson said Helen was all tricks. Like where? The main tricks were Peterson interrupting her every other sentence, telling her she was wrong when she was right, on a mission to not let her be right about anything. But a Helen trick? Example?

The real irony is without that Cathy Newman interview, I'd have never heard of Peterson. In their efforts to bury him, they just made it easier for people to listen to him.
That was really just an example of someone that was utterly out of her depth, ill prepared and dropping the ball as an interviewer. Debating in something she obviously had next to no useful knowledge about. I don't know if it was in an effort to bury Peterson, I think it was a display of incompetence. I could be wrong. If i am that just makes this that much more sad.
I don’t think it’s fair to say they tried to bury him. They didn’t have to publish the uncut interview. They should get props for that.
Yep me also. I heard about this new right wing Nazi guy doing the rounds with a book out. I became curious about who this was and saw the Newman interview. I discovered Peterson was neither a Nazi or right wing.

What a weird piece of advice.
Haven't watched the video yet, but I suppose saving apologies only for when you truly mean it, and truly want to make amends means those rarer apologies are much more meaningful.
I can’t apologize for shit I didn’t do. I didn’t do it to please someone once or twice, happening now matter of fact, and it was the end of that and this relationship is spiraling cause I won’t apologize for shit I didn’t do only for shit I did and for im sorry I came across that way I’ll check myself because that lead you to think I implied etc etc. But not shit I didn’t do, or was misunderstood and I’m not permitted to state my case peacefully, so no Not due to my effort to agree to disagree that relationship can end sadly .

Back in the day, I was temporarily expelled from my Masters Degree in Education when I stood up a fuss about poor teaching practices within the university.
I had been innocently questioning certain choices of the faculty, and was concerned they weren't taken seriously.
I was so paranoid the entire time that my concerns were unfounded, and that I was legitimately stupid.
That period of time between the expulsion and the appeal was soul-crushing.
During the appeal, the Representative for the Defence said they had a super secret record of my wrong doings. I remember my chest clenching so hard. But then they stated no one could see it because it wouldn't be super secret anymore. And in second, my chest pain disappeared... and we all sat there in befuddlement.
I'd been in the right the entire time.
We very, very easily won the appeal. The Representative went on 'Medical Stress Leave' and stated on record her losing was 'traumatic'.
My family were like, "How was this traumatic? It was just a student appeal. Nobody died. You did the wrong thing. You lied. And possibly more so than we know."
I credit Peterson as a role model for giving me some of the critical thinking skills to navigate the entire process. I didn't go back to education ever again.

That first sentence around 'love your enemy' being an insight window into your own flaws is a phenomenally powerful lesson I want to take in. I have met many people who I can perhaps refer to as an 'enemy' (certainly not a friend or ally) so this is a very positive spin on what has been some very negative experiences and encounters.
It's not even about Palestine, even though I think Israel is guilty of many war crimes...It's his dismissal of any self-critique in his staunch support of censorship.
Although Jordan doesn't like to be combative, he is at his best, AND adds the greatest value, when he is combative against ideologues.
Most entertaining for sure, skeptical on the greatest value.
Okay, but he is an ideologue. And he is combative. He may not intend that, but i think he is. He tries to pass off the responsibility for it onto the other person, but I think he is. And he makes a lot of money off of it, which is also important to him.

Being a recovering addict for many years. 14 years of therapy and $125,000 out of pocket taught me immeasurably. Facing the truth of my life was the only way. Those people in my life I call my dark angels. My dark angels saved my life more times than you could imagine.
I really like Chris’s interview style. 😊
I loved the fact that Chris asked what Pharisees was. To me as a religious person it seemed like such an obvious fact. I was taken aback at first by Chris asking because I thought that was well known. But I loved he did that because it demonstrated Jordan’s entire point about asking questions and imposter syndrome and Chris wasn’t afraid to ask.
Was is JP dressed like the most Canadian and polite incarnation of the Joker?
The saying “Keep your friends close & your enemy’s closer” sounds good. Should you be friends with a narcissist drop them as fast as possible male or female. Recognising them is easy. These are the people who want the inside track on your life for their own ends. When rumbled, they will quickly move on to another unsuspecting individual. Observation and self awareness is key.
Took me a long time to recognize what a narcissist is. They abuse good people with a lot of potential.
The interview with Cathy Newman was legendary!
Did anyone else pick up on the Venison ad where Chris Williamson says of Mikaela Peterson "All she does is eat meat" 🤣😂🤣
@1:57 I definitely need a reference for this claim about faith in journalism.
Probably was wise not to mention Helen Lewis was on Modern Wisdom, and she came across really well I thought!
This "enemy can elevate you" concept sounds exactly the same where Peterson interviewed Rife and he told the story how he hit back on a cancellation attempt. Clever man, both of them.
The adversary has to be criticizing in good faith to gain any real introspective value.
As I used to say to my best friend during Call of Duty Black Ops when I'd get cornered playing Kino der Toten Zombies:
"There's always a way out."
It's insane that Cathy newmeme still has a job.
We can find these lessons from long ago in Buddhism. The path of the boddisatva speaks highly ovet being grateful to those that seek you harm. You learn so much about yourself
The key difference is that Buddhism sees life as fundamentally suffering. And the solution isn't to end the suffering, or seek good, or trust God, but to eliminate all desires and passions entirely. It's to transcend (and ignore, in my view) the reality of the world.
As the old saying goes.....keep your friends close and your enemies even closer

Although I'm not fond of Cathy Newman, I'm grateful for her ignorance and arrogance, which led me to discover Jordan Peterson. Had it not been for his 'gotcha!' moment in an interview, which was later clipped and shared on social media, I likely wouldn't have taken an interest in him. Being a Hindu, I doubt RUclips's algorithms would have directed me to his biblical lectures.
I also discovered his biblical lectures where he interprets the stories and derives philosophical insights. I find parallels in Hindu mythology.
One instance is his interpretation of the Jesus story as the greatest human enduring the harshest trials, akin to the worst happening to the best person. Similarly, in Hinduism, we have the story of Rama, which follows a comparable theme but in a completely different context.

True. My strength rises up to surface when "Satan" challenges through other people. The Light is always more powerful than the dark.
Why?
Because in the vastness of complete darkness a slight glimmer of Light will catch and focus your attention and you will immediately stop noticing the dark.
While the opposite simultaneously is also true.
If here is so much light that only a fraction of darkness remains you wont even be able to spot the darkness because you are completely blinded by the light.
So, the Light, the positive, will always prevail in the end.

Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.
